Chapter 292: Going head-on with the bad

When Collins pulled over in front of Chloe's apartment, he got down together with her and went over to her side. He opened the door for her and she got down from the car. He pulled her into a tight hug, placing his head on her shoulder affectionately.

''This feels so good. I can now hug you like this without being afraid''

''You are so cheesy''

''I've always wanted to do this for a while now. Chloe, I promise to be good to you''

''You better keep that promise, if you make me sad, I won't forgive you''

''I will make good to you. I really don't want to part with you''

''Let's go on a date tomorrow''

''What about your studies?''

''We can go on a date after I am done with my studies''

''It's settled then'' he kissed her lightly before letting go, ''go inside''

''Drive safely. Call me when you get home''

''Sure'' Collins got into his car and drive away as she waved at him.

When he was out of sight, Chloe smiled and turned to open the door and saw Kris and Brenda looking at her.

''Dear Lord, you two scared me'' she said, holding the medical supplies closed to her heart.

''Come clean. When did you two become a couple?'' Kristine asked.

''Let's go in first'' Chloe said and pushed her way into the apartment. The two followed suit, closing the door behind them.

Brenda and Kristine looked at Chloe curiously while she blushed, her face turning red, as she spoke.

''Well we went to buy the medical suppliers and then one thing led to another and then, he confessed and I accepted it and now we are dating''

''That's it?'' Kristine asked.

''Yes, that's it. But, why don't we talk about where this little Miss slept last night?'' Chloe looked at Brenda.

''Robyn and I are dating and we had sex last night'' Brenda said.

''What?'' Kristine screamed.

''Hell!'' Chloe and Kristine looked at each other after they exclaimed.

''Does that mean it is only Kris and I who haven't had sex among us? that's so cruel'' Chloe said.

''I'm so pissed off'' Kristine frowned. Ronald hadn't made any move on her yet and she was really anticipating that moment. She wondered how it would be like

''Well, it was about time, right? But, that's not why I wanted to meet you girls. I met the lawyer today with Robyn and she asked for your statements. She wants to interview you three''

''We are ready to do anything that can help put that scum in jail'' Chloe said and Kristine nodded.

''Yes, Chloe is right. We are all here for you, Brenda. You did well by getting a lawyer''

''The lawyer told me something. She said that while the case is going on, it will be dangerous for us to stay alone because Brew could do something to us. She suggested that I move in with Robyn and then Kris will move in with Ronald''

''What about me?'' Chloe asked.

''Don't you have 'senior'?'' Kris and Brenda asked and she flushed.

''No, we just started dating an hour ago. I can't move in with him''

''Then, would you move in with me instead?'' Kristine asked.

''And be fed dog food all the time?''

''Then, call your 'senior' and tell him. I think he would be more than happy to welcome you with open arms''

''When are we moving out?''

''Tomorrow, when Jenny comes. She still doesn't know what is going on''

''Alright''

The next day, the four women went to the lawyer's office. Brenda had already informed them about Amber being the lawyer, so when they arrived, they were comfortable around and told her all they knew, the impact the incident had on Brenda over the years.

They had decided to vacate their apartment, so, after the meeting with the lawyer, they went to the apartment and packed their important stuff together while the men waited for them outside.

Jenny had also joined them in packing since she had only taken a few things to her new apartment with Kody.

Soon they finished packing and the men helped them to put their things into their cars. After they were done. The ladies looked at their apartment. It felt a little surreal that they were suddenly moving out of the apartment that they had spent most part of their lives in. This was the apartment that they had collectively saved money to buy.

''Will we get to come back here again? I still sad parting away with this apartment'' Jenny said.

''I know, right? I can't believe we are leaving this place'' Kristine added.

''This will forever be our house. It will always belong to us'' Chloe said.

''Yes, when everything is over, we will come back here, right?'' Brenda looked at the girls.

''Like hell I am allowing that'' Robyn said and pulled Brenda to his side.

''Kris and I will be getting married soon, so this arrangement is good for me'' Ronald said.

''I think I am benefiting from this too; I get to spend a lot of time with Chloe''

''Well, Jenny and I are already married''

''Tomorrow is the first meeting with Brew's lawyer. Call us after that Brenda. Robyn, please take care of Brenda and don't let that scum go near her'' Kristine said.

''Don't worry. I will protect her very well, because she is my woman''

''Let's go'' Chloe said and they all nodded and got into their cars. They drive out one after the other, taking their different routes.

Each of them still looked longingly behind at their apartment. It was hard for them to part with it.

Jenny felt a touch on her hand and turned to look at Kody, he smiled warmly at her and asked, 'we will always see them. nobody is going away, don't worry too much''

''I can't believe it. It feels strange. Just a month ago, we were all living together and didn't know that our lives would change so much in such a short while. I wouldn't have thought I would get married. Kristine met Ronald, Brenda and Robyn became lovers after being work enemies, and then Chloe is together with her college senior. And now most importantly, Brenda is going to get the justice that she deserves''

''Robyn is a good man. Your friend is in good hands''

''Then, are you okay? Brew is your cousin and also your family''

''I already cut of ties with that family for good. I never supported what he did to Brenda. I don't care what happens to him. Jenny, let's not talk about those depressing things''

Chloe fidgeted with her dress as she sat next to Collins. Compared to her, he seemed relaxed and even happy as he drove them.

'Senior I'' Collins turned and looked at her and she flushed and changed the way she addressed him, 'Collins. I really don't mind going to a hotel to stay for a while. We just started dating, I feel that it is not proper for us to start living together so fast''

''Do you not trust me, or is it yourself you don't trust? I won't do anything to you. We will be staying in different rooms until you are comfortable enough to share a room with me''

''I didn't mean it that way''

''Chloe, I know you feel that we are rushing things, but I don't feel that way at all. But, just so you can relax, let's move at your own pace, alright? Whatever, however you want us to work our way out in this relationship, we would do exactly that''

''We will get home soon. I will leave you to get acquainted with the place while I go back to the University. I have a late lesson; I will be back by 20:00 PM''

''Do you have ingredients at home, I can cook us a meal''

''No, I will buy us supper on my way home. let's go and shop for the things that you would need tomorrow'

''Okay, that sounds like a plan'' Collins smiled and drove away. He was happy deep within him for this moment.

They soon arrived at his apartment which was one of the University villas for the lecturers. He pulled over and got down with her. He took the heavy bags while Chloe took the less heavy ones and they went inside the villa.

Chloe looked at the villa and felt that it was very clean, she looked at him and as if reading her mind, he said to her, ''a housekeeper comes every two days to do the cleaning, I will introduce her to you when she comes two days later. I will show you to your room first''

''En, Collins wait'' she held his hand making his stop. He turned to look at her. Her face was red as she spoke, ''I don't mind sleeping in the same room with you. I have to get used to it sooner or later, right?''

''Are you sure? I don't want to pressure you''

''No, it's not a pressure at all. We are a couple, so it's normal for us to be in the same room''

''Alright, let's go to the master bedroom, it is upstairs'' he said enthusiastically and walked away as she followed suit.
