Chapter 291: I love you Chloe

Walking out from the library together a few hours later, Chloe was tired. She had thought that Collins was simply joking when he said that he was going to tutor her, but it turned out he was quite serious. Who would have thought he would be such a serious person once he made up his mind to do something? He was so adamant and didn't give her a chance to laze at all.

When they reached the car, she leaned against it and looked at him. It was obvious she was tired.

''Are you very tired?'' Collins asked. He knew he had stretched her out with the studies. It wasn't his intention but he was someone who was very serious when it came to learning. He also wished that she would get enrolled in his school so that he would get to see her every day.

''Senior, now I understand why you never got a girlfriend all these years. I'm sure you must have scared them off with your unbending zeal towards learning'' Chloe said.

''But, learning is the only thing I am confident in. wait, that is not the only thing I am confident in. I am also confident in the fact that I can be able to take responsibility over my actions earlier''

''Earlier?'' Chloe's cheeks turned red when she remembered what happened earlier. She turned and opened the car saying softly, ''let's go''

Collins smiled and got into the driver's seat after closing the door for her. He did his safety belt and turned to her.

''Why are you looking at me like that?''

''Nothing, put your seat belt on first''

''Oh'' Chloe hurriedly put on the seat belt and placed her bag on her laps. Collins started the car and her phone buzzed just at that time. ''I will answer this call'' she said and removed the phone.

''Hello, Kris. I just closed, I will be home soon, alright, send me the list. I will get them on the way, bye'' she hung up and turned to Collins and asked, ''Senior, can we make a quick somewhere first? I need to buy some things for home''

''Sure, where do you want us to go?''

''The subway pharmacy, it's just right ahead of the traffic interception''

''Alright''

Chloe looked at her phone and saw the list of things Kris had sent to her. They were wound supplies for their first aid box.

''What are you buying at the pharmacy? Is Kris sick?''

''No, they are just our first aid supplies that we've been postponing to buy for a while now. Nothing serious''

''I see. I was worried''

''No need to worry''

Collins nodded his head and continued to drive until he reached the pharmacy and pulled over. Chloe picked her bag and turned to leave and said to him.

''Wait here, I will be back quick'' she left and Collins saw her small purse had fallen out of the car. He chuckled and took it, getting out of the car.

Chloe quickly gave the list to the man tendering the pharmacy and he picked the things she needed and also engaged her in a conversation.

''Never seen you here before?'' he said.

''Huh? Oh, I don't live around here''

''That's why. I saw you at the library but you looked so serious. Studying for Masters?''

''Yes. How much is all of that?'

''$200 dollars but I will give you a 20% discount'' the man said and Chloe looked at him with furrowed brows.

''20% is a lot''

''In exchange for your name?'' he added and Collins walked inside. He went straight to Chloe and put his arm around her waist startling her.

''Senior?''

''What senior? Didn't I tell you to stop addressing me so formerly when we are outside?'' he said and turned to the man behind the counter, ''she doesn't need a discount'' he removed his own wallet and brought out a few bills and put them on the table, ''keep the change'' he added and the man's face flushed with embarrassment.

''I'm sorry, I didn't know you were married'' the man apologised.

''I am''

''Now you know'' Collins interrupted Chloe before pulling her out of the building. The man watched them until they got into the car.

Collins placed his hands on the steering wheel feeling a mixture of emotions. He was angry, sad and at the same time confused. This was his first time that he had actually liked the same woman twice but he was a total novice. He didn't know what to do to make a woman like him.

''What was that all about, senior?'' Chloe asked, she was a little confused.

''Can you stop calling me senior? I don't want to be a senior to you'' he said and turned to look at her seriously. Chloe was taken aback.

''Okay, I won't call you senior again''

''This is the first time I have fallen for the same woman twice and I still don't know what to do about my feelings''

''You you like me?'' Chloe blushed as she asked.

''The first time I fell for you was the day you joined my club as a freshman, but I was a person battling leukaemia and didn't have a future, so I didn't tell you. I was afraid that you wouldn't like someone like me, because I was boring and didn't know how to make a woman happy. Then I suffered a relapse and was taken away. I never saw you again.

It was like a real miracle for me when I accidentally ran into you that day at the coffee shop, then I realised with time that I never got over you. I fell for you the second time. But, you always call me senior and treat me like someone whom you respect so much and that makes me confused. I don't know how to move you because I don't know how to talk much or say sweet words to make a woman like me''

He held her hands and placed them on his chest for her to feel the sound of his heartbeat. It was quick and a little unstable. His gestured made her flush.

''Chloe, I don't know how to say the right things to make you smile like other men do for their women. I lack in so many ways, but I am a responsible man and I am confident that I can make you a happy woman. Can't you just look at me for once?'' he had poured his heart out and finally confessed the feelings that were deep within him. He felt that he needed to say those words so that she will not think of him as just a senior anymore.

''Collins'' she said his name and looked at him.

''Yes''

''Kiss me'' she said and leaned closer to him.

''Huh?''

''You are so cute'' she said and pulled him closer, kissing him. He moaned and wrapped his arms around her, pulled her body to himself and taking over the kiss.

Outside, because the window was slightly opened, the man at the pharmacy could see their PDA. He chuckled as he watched the couple kiss intensely.

After a while, they slowed down and their breathing mingled. Chloe chuckled and looked at Collins saying, ''how could I not be moved by such sincerity? Actually, I called you senior because I didn't know how to address you. I didn't want to make myself so comfortable and get confused again. I am quite silly. I tend to fall in love fast with someone who shows me a little care or someone who is good to me. must be because I didn't get such care from childhood''

''Then, I will be good to you every day, so that you will fall for me every day''

''Let's go'' Chloe said and slide back to her seat.

''We are dating now. I will pick you up tomorrow and send you to the library before I go to work tomorrow morning''

''Okay, but, when I get accepted into your school. won't our relationship be bad to your reputation?''

''Not at all, but if you are worried about me, let's get married that way I will just tell them we got married before you entered our school''

''No, we just started dating just seconds ago. Let's not rush and enjoy the dating process. There are a lot of things I still need to teach you''

''I am someone who learns fast, I am sure I can be a pro in no time''

''A pro, then, let's start with me studying by myself. Your style of tutoring is too stiff and unbending. I am only preparing for exams; do you have to be so serious?''

''But, I want you to pass and be enrolled in my school''

''I will study by myself and I will pass and get enrolled in your school but I can't be tutored by you again. I'm scared I will breakdown after the exams''

''Oh, but, I will bring you breakfast, and lunch everyday''

''That will be greatly appreciated'' they continued to chat as he drove towards her apartment.
