You're My Only Star

As the doctor was examining his body, Lu Xun glanced at the person who stood at the bedside. The doctor was explaining something about his body but at this time, he was not listening to the doctor well. His attention was focused on Song Xing Xing.

Gradually, his expression turned softer when he saw the concern on her face. She cared about him. Then, that meant that he was not too late. He should still have the chance to win her back.

Seeing that the doctor had finished his examination, Song Xing Xing stepped forward to stop him. "Doctor, is it possible that the drug would mess up with his mind?"

The elderly doctor looked at Song Xing Xing in surprise. "Miss, what do you mean?"

Song Xing Xing glanced at Lu Xun before she spoke, "It seemed that he could not remember what happened. Do you think that we should examine his brain?"

The doctor turned to look at Lu Xun in puzzlement. "President Lu. You…"

Lu Xun let out a cough. He lowered his head in embarrassment. "Doctor, it's not what you think. It's just that some of my memories are a little bit fuzzy. Especially after I was separated from my business partners. Earlier, I was just confused after I regained my consciousness. My memories has started to return a few minutes ago."

Hearing his words, Song Xing Xing finally figured out that she was tricked.

The old doctor nodded a few times. "It is possible for your memory to experience such side effects." He continued to explain to Lu Xun the side effects of that drug. After giving him a few reminders, the doctor left the room along with his assistants.

When Lu Xun looked up again, he could clearly see the upset look in Song Xing Xing's eyes.

The corner of her eyes was misty with tears. Song Xing Xing reasoned with herself that she only cried because she was too angry with Lu Xun for tricking her to stay.

"What are you doing? Let me go." She tried to wriggle her arms away from him but it looked like the man had no intention to let her go. Suddenly, her heart felt a little heavy.

"No. I won't let you go until you listen to me first?"

"What else do you want to say?" Song Xing Xing gritted her teeth in anger and turned around. "The last time we saw each other, we already said everything that needed to be said, right?"

"I still have a lot of things to say."

"Then, just speak."

Lu Xun sucked in a deep breath. Although he had a lot of things that he wanted to say, at this time, he could not find his words and he did not know where to start. "Song Xing Xing… I am really not good with words," Lu Xun said. "I might have said something that makes you unhappy."

"Since you are not good with words, then don't speak. Just let me go, alright?"

Lu Xun held continued to hold her tightly. He had already waited for more than a month to approach her. This time, if he let her go again, perhaps he will have to wait another year. He could not bear to wait that long.

"The last time I was in a relationship was six, seven years ago."

"When I saw that look in your eyes, I thought that I should push you away," Lu Xun continued. "I did not want you to be disappointed in me. I don't want you to waste your time on me."

Song Xing Xing stood still as she continued to listen to his words. Suddenly, she was curious about the previous girlfriend who had broken his heart. A woman who could attract Lu Xun's eyes should be a great person, right? Just what kind of person is she?

Song Xing Xing quickly scolded herself being too curious about Lu Xun's ex-girlfriend.

"Give me a chance, alright?" He continued. "Don't avoid me anymore. I promise you that I won't let you be disappointed."

Song Xing Xing lowered her head as she thought of his words.

"At least, give me the chance to pursue you.. Later, if you still think that I am not worth your time, then, you can reject me."
