The Time I Got Reincarnated As An Extra

Chapter 259 Her Loss [2]

259  Her Loss [2]

***

Amon finally reached his class, where everyone was already seated.

Today, there was no time for a lecture.

Athena wasn't here anyways and nor was their substitute homeroom teacher.

Rather, today someone else was supposed to take the head.

As he closed the doors, Amon saw everyone's stare fixate on him, their gazes silent but expectant.

Amon understood what their gazes meant to say.

It was an assignment. A challenge.

That sure, he might have shown his power and asserted his dominance at the party but…

Did he have the qualities to lead the class?

To command them all and group them together?

Because after all, if he was just a ruthless tyrant, then no one was going to listen to him.

And funnily enough, the importance of a king in a kingdom was much less as compared to his people.

So if he failed here…

Then he could say goodbye to leading this class away from doom in the future.

From the first row, Amon saw his friends staring at him with expectant gazes as well.

But unlike others, they already had a hint of satisfaction in their eyes.

It was their belief. Their trust that Amon would nail it.

Amon returned their hopeful gazes with a light smile and focused his gaze on the podium.

Ascending the stairs, he kept his posture straight and confident, letting his cold side take over for some time.

He felt a sudden urge to scratch his neck but he suppressed it.

Tap. Tap.

Reaching the podium, Amon turned to the class below him, the rows stretching up and up till the end of the class.

"Cough.." Amon cleared his throat with a loud cough.

He directed his gaze on the class directly, meeting everyone's eyes without backing down.

There was no hint of nervousness or sweat on his face.

It was the clear composure and confidence of a leader. One that he had learned from Arthur.

There was a tense silence in the class, everyone awaiting his next words.

But unlike what they expected, they were completely shocked by what he said.

Rather than being overly formal and serious as most did, Amon chose to drop that act.

"Sup." He said, prompting a more casual tone.

Yes. This was the only way he could do it.

Even if he wanted to put on a more serious and cold front, Amon couldn't do so.

Despite how much he would pretend to do so, he knew he would crack at any moment doing that.

It was because he had no experience in that.

He had never seen someone lead like that even, someone he could use as a role model.

But for his current tone…

This was something he had learnt from one of his only 2 teachers in the world.

A person who, people might think of as a criminal but in his eyes, was his idol and a teacher.

And it was from him that Amon had seen how to command people.

Arthur Milize.

Taking in the shock of everyone present, Amon's eyes momentarily flickered down below.

As he expected, even his friends were surprised.

Except a certain eggplant, who was smirking, clearly recognizing whom he was trying to copy.

Amon's smile spread further.

He scratched his head.

"I'll be frank with y'all. I have no intention of trying to be stern and strict over you all. That's not how I do it." Amon made it clear to them.

Despite his casual tone, the class was still silent and serious, not taking him as a joke at all.

This was good, Amon smiled.

Despite his way of speaking, the vibe that came off him clearly told them all that he wasn't a joke.

"Not gonna give a speech here as well. I'm sure y'all chaps gon' be asleep by the time I'm done if I do that as well."

"In any case, as you all know, I'm now the head of this class, the first ranked student of this year. Surprised? Same. Didn't know it would be this easy." Amon laughed with a shrug.

Some laughs and chuckles elicited from the students as well.

"Though, that doesn't mean I'm up here just cause the management was on drugs." Amon smirked, leaning on the podium.

He pointed at the audience with an index finger.

"You all are free to come at me one by one or even in groups. Any doubts will be cleared with minutes though I'm sure most of you all already learned the hard way in the mid-terms."

It was a cocky remark from Amon. A clear challenge to them all that if they want, they could challenge him and see for themselves.

It was a deep and hurting jab at their prides, making some of them even gnash their teeth but… n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Amon wasn't just saying bland words.

He was saying the truth. Most of them had already seen in the mid-terms.

No one was able to beat him. No, most couldn't even close to harming him.

Nevertheless, most of them looked at Elizabeth, seeing how she would react.

After all, she was the person from whom Amon stole the first rank from.

However, her blank expression gave them all a clear answer.

Everyone was clear and confirmed about Amon's strength.

There was no one stronger than him. Even Michael, who was probably the closet competitor had an affirmative smile on his face.

After a seconds of silence, Amon leaned back, straightening himself up while tapping the table at the same time.

"I guess that confirms it."

He looked at them all again.

"In any case, this position isn't just for the power as well huh. You all are probably itching to go out to the festival."

He tapped the table again.

"So, I'll make it as short as possible." He said slightly louder, catching everyone's attention.

Everyone was piqued for their class gig.

This was the moment.

However, Amon's next sentence put them all into a shock.

"For the class gig…."

"We will all be doing a Circus Event." He said it loud and clear.

Instantly, a shocking silence descended into the class, as everyone's eyes widened.

In the next moment, flickers of annoyance passed through their eyes, assumingly thinking that Amon was ridiculing them as clowns.

But Amon quickly raised his hand in an attempt to clear what he said by continuing.

"No, don't worry, I'm not trying to berate or insult anyone here by making them jokers or clowns."

He clapped his hands with a smirk on his face.

"Rather, I'm confident this will turn out well. All I need is for you all to trust me."

As soon as Amon finished this line, he saw a hand raised from the first row.

Moving his gaze, he saw that it was Elizabeth, who looked at him with a curious gaze.

"If I may ask, a circus event requires a large venue, how will we arrange that?"

Amon nodded, his smirk widening.

"Glad you asked. Well, for that, I have already talked to the President of the Cultural Society, Miss Amelia and with some preparations, have rented one for the gig."

Whispers and murmurs could be heard as he finished saying it.

Some of the initial doubts that everyone had at his bland words changed to some assurance as they could see that he had thought this through.

And this made Amon even more confident as he saw that he was changing their hearts.

"But at the same time, since it's such a large event and it boosts our chances of winning, I'll also need a management team for this event." He said it.

Everyone knew with a Circus Event, Amon was taking quite a big risk.

Because usually, with class gigs, the leaders tended to focus more on small but long-lasting stalls or gigs.

Some examples were a haunted house, ice cream shop and such.

However, with an event as large as a Circus, which would only be held once in the whole festival unlike other gigs which would last the whole time…

It was a simple go big or go home move for them.

Either they could rake in a crowd and demolish all stalls by their huge amount of sales or get nothing.

It was just one night after all.

But as they saw Amon's resolve and the determination in his eyes, they couldn't help but be motivated for it.

After all, it still posed a certain thrill to them. To work hard for it as it was only a single night.

Even if they wanted to refuse anyways, they could do nothing.

They had to go along with what the class representative had chosen.

The only way they could even change was with a request from the majority of the class and some other hassles, which no one wanted to do.

So in the end, all they could do was….

Accept Amon's idea and go through with it.

As Amon saw the approval in their eyes, he offered a light nod.

This was good.

Now he just had to pick the right people for the right job in management.

And fortunately, he already had a list in mind.

"Let's start with everyone's job positions…"
