136. Upgrades?

“So you won’t be turning into that thing again?” After a while of silent hugging Nozomi decided to ask Tomoka out of curiosity with a tinge of trepidation. 

“I mean… I could if I wanted to, mind you I would still be me in there. Though I would rather not as it puts a lot of pressure on my body” Tomoka said while giving Nozomi a wry smile. After having her emotions healed and the integration of the other two that lived rent free inside of her, Tomoka felt like she gained a lot of control over her abilities. 

One of the things she felt like she could do and tested right away was transforming into a lizard. The result is that even though she can, it drains her chakra like there is no tomorrow. Not only that but once she ended transformation she felt like she had run a marathon with a vest filled with knives stabbing her for hours.  

Another thing that happened without either Hinata or Nozomi knowing was the advancement of her dojutsu by using a byakugan. To say it was a nasty experience would be putting it mildly.

~Flash back no jutsu~

[Are you sure about this? Last time it looked like it hurt, a lot.]

‘You know how it goes Kurama, No pain no gain!’ Like that Tomoka pushed the Byakugan she held into her left eye socket. As soon as she pushed some chakra into it, just like before, her body began devouring the eye with gusto causing her unimaginable pain. 

‘Mother fucker this hurts even more than last time!’ As Tomoka cursed a storm in her mind while screaming like a pig being butchered, her body did its thing. Soon enough her left eye socket became empty again. 

‘I swear to whatever god is out there this is the last time I do something like this’ 

[That’s bullshit and you know it!] Kurama who has seen her doing dumb shit throughout all of her life knew all too well she would break that promise as soon as she got her hands on “Interesting” materials.

‘Hehe, guilty as charged. Anyway let's get this over with.’ And so Tomoka pushed her eye back into her socket. Like before her body healed the torn nerves and muscles while mutating her eyes once again. However, this time it was much worse. Tomoka didn’t even get to curse as the pain knocked her out instantly.

A few hours later she once again opened her eyes which was a very, very bad idea. Not a second after opening her eyes Tomoka was assaulted with so much information her brain almost exploded trying to understand it all. 

“Fuck” Was all that escaped her lips as she instantly shut her eyes. Now with the flow of data broken she could take her time trying to understand what happened. Analyzing the info her eyes had provided her brain gave her all the clues she needed. 

It just so happen that her Kinagan had remained active all this time. Now with its upgraded it provided her a perfect three hundred and sixty degree vision around her even with her eyes closed. Then, why wasn’t it affecting her now that her eyes are closed? It’s because she doesn’t wish for it to give her the info, simple as that. 

Either way, if it had only been that then she could have handled it. After all, her upgraded kinagan’s reach is of a thousand meters at minimum. The problem comes from the fusion of this function with the previous one. That's right, she wasn’t only seeing a kilometer radius of area but everything that would happen within that area in the following two seconds. 

‘Well then, ain’t that great’ Tomoka sighed exasperated. Unless she could increase her brain’s processing capacity, which is already monstrous, or decrease her eye’s effectiveness, she is stuck unable to use them. 

[Looks like you bit more than you could chew. What was it again? No pain no gain? HA! More like all pain no gain!] Hearing the old fox laughing like mad, Tomoka felt like kicking his ass. The only reason she didn’t is because he would take it as his win.
