Chapter 165: Guardian Draconic Beast, Mythical Domain (I)

As the Thunder Fiery Colossal Beast beheld the silver fish with excitement, the Dragon Turtle also descended.

These silver fish seemed to be in a symbiotic relationship with the glowing corals. Even as the two colossal beasts swept through and voraciously devoured, the silver fish only darted into the crevices of the coral, showing no intention of fleeing the valley.

The Dragon Turtle stopped once it nearly depleted the silver fish from one corner of the valley. The thick yellow energy on its body surged even more.

Meanwhile, the Thunder Beast continued its rampage. However, when it estimated it had devoured nearly three thousand silver fish and its energy had doubled, a hint of regret flickered in its eyes.

It had reached its limit. Just like with the blue pearls it had consumed before, there was a saturation point for these resources that limited their effectiveness. Previously, when it had consumed fifteen hundred silver fish, the effect had begun to diminish. Now, consuming a single silver fish only retained one-tenth of the effect.

Though, while the increase in the upper limit had slowed, the rate of energy replenishment remained.

No wonder the gray whale hadn't eaten all of the silver fish. It must have already reached its enhancement limit long ago, but had stuck around and guarded this place for long-term consumption and the ability to quickly replenish its energy.

Therefore, despite the decreasing effect, the Thunder Beast continued to devour. It only stopped when it had swept from one end of the valley to the other, consuming over four thousand adult silver fish.

After finishing off the silver fish, the Thunder Beast turned its gaze to the gray whale’s corpse.

With that thought, the Thunder Beast eagerly opened its mouth wide, tearing off thousands of kilograms of flesh with each bite. While it tore into the gray whale, the Dragon Turtle watched from a distance with bulging eyes.

Its black and red scales became heavier, cracking and enlarging continuously. Its body widened, and its length increased by over ten centimeters in moments.

By the time most of the day had passed, the valley was left with only a nearly sixty-meter-long, completely metalized skeleton.

There was also the looming colossal beast at the side, now twenty-eight meters long.

This gray whale, which had long feasted on silver fish, had contained astonishing energy within its flesh, instantly propelling the Thunder Beast into remarkable growth.

Roar! From now on, you guard this place, and you can have half of the grown-up fish.

Half? The Dragon Turtle's eyes lit up.

Roar! Thunder Fiery, really?

Roar! Really. From now on, this place is yours. Remember to emit your aura to deter those around you. If any mutated beasts want to snatch them, leave first and come find me.

The Thunder Beast knew better than to ask it to attack any mutated beasts that tried to take over the territory. This timid creature usually shrank away when faced with stronger mutated beasts of the same level. If the opponent still dared to approach after sensing the aura of a level 7 draconic beast, their strength would undoubtedly be formidable.

As regrettable as it was, the fish needed to stay here, due to their symbiotic relationship with the glowing corals.
