You're My Only Star

Lu Xun woke up with a headache. His eyes squinted as he noticed that this place was not his room. It took him a while to recall that he had gone to look for his sister last night.

Because his sister was worried to let him return alone, Lu Xun had agreed to spend the night at their suite.

Lu Xun massaged his head as he turned in bed. A second later, his gaze met a familiar pair of eyes.

"Uncle, you're awake!"

Lu Xun chuckled. "Jia Xuan, good morning."

"Uncle, good morning!" The little boy ran over to the side table and picked up the glass of water. "Uncle, my mom said you should eat your medicine first."

He sat up and took the glass from his nephew. The boy handed him a few pills and watched as he took them. Seeing that her uncle had obediently drunk his medicine, Jia Xuan smiled until his teeth could be seen. After he had placed the glass back on the table, Jia Xuan went back to his uncle to check on his condition. "Uncle, is your head still in pain?"

Lu Xun shook his head. "Well, thanks for your care, it no longer hurting."

"Then, you can take me out and play, right?" Jia Xuan asked. He batted his eyelids at his uncle, flashing his best puppy dog eyes at him. "You said that you are going to take me out and play."

Lu Xun stretched his hand and patted at the boy's head. "Alright. Let's go out and have fun. Go and tell your mother that we'll be going out after this."

"Really?" Jia Xuan stared at her uncle happily. He saw him nodded and ran out and to find his mother.

As the boy ran out, Lu Xun grabbed his glasses and his phone. He checked the message on his phone and replied to a few important ones. Then, he gave a call to Assistant Bei Yuan and told him that he was not going to show up at work.

Once he had made his arrangements, Lu Xun went into the bathroom to clean up himself. When he came out again, there was a set of clothes prepared for him. One look at the clothing, Lu Xun knew that they were clothing that his sister had chosen for him.

It was a different style than what he would usually wear.

Initially, Lu Xun did not want to wear them. However, he had promised his nephew that he will take him out and play. Wearing those clothes would help him with his disguise.

Lu Xun changed into the fresh clothes that his sister had prepared and walked out.

When he appeared in the dining area, Lu An Ran gave his brother a look over. Her lips tilted up into a smile when she saw that the clothes she chose looked good on him.

Her brother has been rejected by a girl he liked and Lu An Ran thought that it was necessary to cheer him a little bit. This was why Lu An Ran had chosen a different style for her brother. This clothing made Lu Xun looked a few years younger.

"I heard that you will be taking Jia Xuan out to play."

Lu Xun raised his head when he heard her words "Mhm… I have promised him. Since I have time today, it's better to take him out to play."

"I think it's a good idea, Lu An Ran said. "It's best if you take your mind off your work today. Perhaps going out with Jia Xuan will make you feel slightly better."

Lu Xun chuckled. He looked at the food on the table and started to eat.

Once they had their breakfast, Lu Xun went out with his sister and her family to the popular mall in the city.

While Lu An Ran went shopping with her husband, Lu Xun took his nephew to an indoor playground and accompanied the boy to play. The two of them rode the bumper car and then went to the arcade to play.

A few passersby stole a few glances at Lu Xun, wondering why did he look somewhat familiar. However, once they saw the way he was dressed, they immediately changed their mind.

There was no way that President Lu Xun of NEXT Group would show up at an indoor playground wearing jeans and a shirt, right?

Jia Xuan clapped his hand happily when he won the racing game arcade. Seeing that they had finished their token, Lu Xun asked the boy to wait for him while he went to exchange more tokens.

When he returned, Lu Xun was surprised upon finding that Jia Xuan was chatting with someone that he was familiar with. Their surroundings were a little dark, but he could still recognize Song Xing Xing's face well.

This was not the first time that he had seen his nephew and Jia Xuan chatting. Last time, he had seen Jia Xuan with Song Xing Xing at the studio.

The boy was wandering around the studio and bumped into the girl. Seeing that he was alone, Song Xing Xing helped Jia Xuan to look for his mother.

Lu Xun certainly did not expect that Song Xing Xing and Jia Xuan would be seemed to be on very good terms. They have only met for a brief moment, but looking at them now, it seemed that the two had a topic in common.

When did Jia Xuan get friendly with Song Xing Xing?

His movement halted and Lu Xun found that he could not take another step towards them. He wanted to approach them, but he was afraid that he would scare the girl.

Last night, his sister had advised him not to be rash. Song Xing Xing was still hurt by what he had done. If he wanted to win her back, he will at least have to give the girl some space.

As he continued to watch them, a young man came and approached. The man placed a hand on Song Xing Xing's shoulder. The way they acted with each other showed that they were familiar with each other.

Lu Xun narrowed his eyes as he looked at them but he was unable to see the man's face in the dark.

His heart skipped a beat upon seeing the man and Song Xing Xing acting familiar with each other.. Lu Xun found that he did not like what he was seeing.
