There’s Absolutely No Problem With The Magic Cards I Made!

Chapter 85: Dekan and Cornelia's Youthful Energy

Chapter 85: Dekan and Cornelia's Youthful Energy

"Speaking of vampires, are they edible?" Dekan suddenly thought of something and asked.

"Meow, they’re too wild to be eaten, right? So disgusting, meow!" Teacher Cat replied.

"In that case, forget about ensuring the quality of the corpse; you can slaughter it as you please."

"Alright."

Listening to their conversation, Viscount Augustine's eyes filled with rage. Alas, he was powerless.

He was a noble vampire! Humans were meant to be his meals!

Since when did a noble vampire started being treated as... a damn wild game? Had these humans gone mad, or had the whole world gone insane during the years he was sealed?

"You! If you dare, fight me fair and square!"

Viscount Augustine struggled to crawl closer to Dekan, as if he wanted to get nearer and kill him with a single blow.

"Hehehe, alright. Then let's have a fair one-sided slaughter next!" Dekan smiled, and Cornelia, who was standing beside him, took out a hammer.

This silver-colored warhammer now had a faint golden glow.

[Holy Battlehammer of Terror]

[Category: Equipment Card]

[Rarity: Blue Uncommon]

[Tier: 3]

[Effect: When struck by this weapon, it inflicts 1.5 times the sensation of pain. If used against enemies of the Evil faction, the pain effect is doubled.]

[Note: Boundless beneficence!]

Dekan crafted this in the afternoon for Cornelia in the Shadow World.

He disassembled Cornelia's "Battlehammer of Terror" and Teacher Cat's "Purification" card to create this piece of equipment.

Teacher Cat's most significant role was to serve as an item inventory.

Because it was tier 5, it could carry a total of 50 tiers worth of cards.

A complete portable card-making toolset consisted of ten individual items, each corresponding to a tier 1 equipment card.

Therefore, a battlefield cardmaker needed to occupy a total of ten card slots to carry a card-making toolset into the Shadow Worlds.

Dekan was not only a detestable support, he was also a battlefield cardmaker. However, at lower tiers, it was more cost-effective to secure the team's combat power rather than sacrificing ten card slots to gain the function of a battlefield cardmaker.

But with Teacher Cat as a portable storage, things were different.

Dekan directly equipped it with a set of tools and had it carry various white spell cards with different attributes that could provide ample materials after being disassembled.

Of course, Teacher Cat's purpose wasn't just to help Dekan bring tools and materials.

Most importantly, it could transport the cards captured from the enemies!

It had plenty of card slots and could bind up to tier 5 cards!

In their previous Shadow World, the Demon Academy, Dekan already experienced the losses he and Cornelia suffered from card tiers and card slots. They had wasted most of the loot gained from defeating Faceless and lost a great amount of money. It left Dekan with deep regrets.

As such, he brought Teacher Cat as a transportation worker this time around. It unbound and discarded all white cards except for the card-making toolset, replacing them with high-value cards looted from the twin sisters.

Just the ill-gotten gains could earn them thousands of gold coins!

"This... This is!"

The radiance on the Holy Battlehammer of Terror brought great fear upon Viscount Augustine. Even though he knew this weapon wasn't of high tier, and the golden glow wasn't particularly holy, it carried a sense of danger that sent shivers down his spine.

"Cornelia, go ahead and smash it. If you break it, I'll repair it for you right away. We have money now," Dekan set up the toolset in the living room, creating a scene that resembled a blacksmith's stall.

"Okay," Cornelia gripped the hammer handle, eager to try it out.

Dekan's words filled her with relief. Finally, she could confidently wield her weapon at full strength.

"You, don't come any closer!" Viscount Augustine finally realized the situation. The two individuals before him, though wearing human skins, were even more terrifying creatures than demons! In their shadow, this vampire seemed particularly weak, pitiful, and helpless.

The sound of renovation echoed throughout the entire villa once again. Sweating and filled with youthful smiles, amidst the vampire's screams, a cathartic "smash the vampire" game was in progress.

However, no matter how hard Cornelia pounded, Viscount Augustine's body and head would regenerate. He couldn't count how many times he had been knocked out and woken up.

Occasionally, he would struggle and attempt to retaliate. "You two little beasts! You can't kill me!! Once I find an opportunity, you'll absolutely regret being born in this world! Absolutely!!!"

Viscount Augustine, his eyes bloodshot, his face a mix of madness and rage, screamed.

He was absolutely convinced that these two could only torture him and bring unimaginable pain, but they couldn't kill him. What frustrated him most was their relaxed state.

Although Viscount Augustine didn't know what was going on in their minds, he felt the utmost insult.

However, Cornelia soon knocked him out again with a hammer blow.

Cornelia had a towel hanging around her neck, and she wiped her forehead with it while leaning her hammer against the ground. It seemed she was a bit tired and wanted to take a break.

Dekan came from the kitchen with three drinks. "How was it?"

"It's been a long time since I've had this much fun exercising."

Cornelia took the drink with a contented expression on her face.

Both of them sat back on the couch, seemingly preparing for a short rest.

"Shall we have another round later?"

"Hmm, I'm thinking of taking a bath in the bedroom."

Cornelia seemed a little concerned about having a sweaty body and kept a bit of distance from Dekan.

"Then let's end the game for today. You should rest early."

"Alright!"

So Cornelia picked up the hammer again and walked over to the vampire, stepping on his back like an executioner. Meanwhile, Dekan stood at a distance.

Dekan finally took out "Blood Purification." This was one of his only two epic cards. Now he could try out the effects of this card.

He activated "Blood Purification" on Viscount Augustine, and suddenly, a crimson light enveloped him.

"Ahhhh!"

Viscount Augustine's veins bulged, and he writhed in pain on the ground. However, no matter what he did, he couldn't stop the mist of blood rising from his body.

"Ahhhh! You, you bastard, what have you done! Where has my noble blood gone?!"

"You’ve been poisoned, we're purifying it for you."

Just as Viscount Augustine was preparing to counterattack, Cornelia once again knocked him out with a hammer blow, perfectly calming the restless patient.

Dekan looked at Viscount Augustine's condition and realized that not much blood had been drained in one go when dealing with high-tier enemies.

However, Dekan and Cornelia had patience to spare. If they couldn't cure the vampire in one go, they could always administer more treatment sessions.
