The Tycoon's Odyssey

Chapter 338 338Falling Rajput[II]

"…"

A deep, heavy silence hung in the room, broken only by the faint hum of the screen. The Rajputs sat frozen, their minds grappling with the weight of Evan's words. Then, Pratap slowly rose from his seat, his movements deliberate but seething with suppressed fury.

When he finally spoke, his voice came out hoarse, his words erupting in furious gasps as he screamed.

"What the fuck are bullshitting, you bastard?"

"I can't believe any of this?" he roared, slamming his hands on the table with a thunderous crack.

On the other end of the screen, Evan sighed heavily before responding.

"Then watch this…"

The screen shifted around, revealing a group of ministers bound in handcuffs, their faces etched with fear and shock.

As soon as he saw this, Pratap's anger erupted even further and his face flushed red as he bellowed.

"It isn't possible. It isn't po...Gaaahbb!!"

His words struck as he groaned, clutching his chest in pain.

"Father…

"Grandfather…"

Arjun and Rudra, seated closest to Pratap, hurriedly rushed over to support Pratap. But gritting his teeth, Pratap pushed them away, his voice ragged but defiant.

"You may think you've won a battle, Evan, but remember this war is far from over. You'll regret making this decision.

Evan's smirk deepened, his calm demeanor only stroking the fury in the room. "Oh, I'm counting on it, Old man. But tell me," he said, leaning forward slightly, his tone shifting to one of feigned curiosity, which seemed more like a mockery, "do you truly believe you still hold the power you once did? Your kingdom, your pride and your legacy, everything is crumbling before your eyes."

Rudra slammed his fist onto the table, his eyes blazing with rage. "Enough of your games! If you think you can intimidate us, you're sorely mistaken. We will find you, and we will put an end to this."

Evan raised a hand mockingly, feigning an attempt to appease him. "Sri Rudra…no Mr. Rudra," he said, almost chuckling. "Such fiery words. But perhaps you might want to focus on saving yourselves first." He leaned back, his expression shifting to a cold resolve. "You see, I don't make empty threats."

The screen suddenly shifted to a live feed, showing the image of a convoy of armored vehicles surrounding the castle. Soldiers in sleek, futuristic gear moved with precision, their weapons gleaming under the dim evening light. Drones buzzed ominously above them, their searchlights slicing through the air like daggers. The castle—once a bastion of Rajput pride—was now a target.

The Rajputs stared at the screen, their expressions shifting from anger to a mix of shock and horror.

Pratap's voice, sharp and commanding, cut through the tension. "Prepare for battle! Fortify the gates and alert every soldier in the vicinity. We hold our ground, no matter the cost."

Guards scrambled into action to carry out the orders and soon the grand hall erupted into a flurry of activity. Arjun grabbed the hilt of his sword, his jaw clenched tightly in grim determination. "Father," he said, his voice low but steady, "we can't let him breach the walls. If he gets inside, it's over."

Pratap nodded, his expression hardening. "We won't let that happen. Jagesh, Vishal—take your units to the north wing. Rudra, oversee the cyber defenses. Ensure our communications remain intact. We cannot afford to lose coordination."Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Evan's voice interrupted their strategizing, his tone dripping with mockery. "A valiant effort, I'm sure. But you might want to look behind you."

Before anyone could react, a deafening explosion rocked the entire castle. The ancient walls of the castle shuddered violently and the stone it was made of started cracking under the force. The room was plunged into chaos as smoke and debris soon filled the air. Soldiers stormed in, shouting orders as the sound of gunfire erupted from outside.

Arjun, being a Rajput, carried a sword with him, upon seeing the clamour around, he unsheathed his sword, his voice rising above the clamor. "To the walls! Defend the castle with everything you have!"

The clash of the battle intensified. Sound of gunfire echoing through the halls, mingled with the screams of soldiers and the sharp commands of their leaders. Explosions lit up the night sky, casting an eerie glow over the battlefield. The hum of drones grew into a deafening roar as they swarmed like a deadly storm, launching coordinated attacks, their weapons raining destruction on the castle's defenses.

Amid the chaos, Rudra's voice cut through the din as he shouted into his communicator, his voice strained and urgent. "We're losing ground! The outer gates won't hold much longer. We need reinforcements, now!"

At the heart of the hall, Pratap stood tall, his towering figure commanding and authoritative despite the turmoil around him. "Hold your positions!" he bellowed. "This castle has stood for centuries—it will not fall tonight!"

But even as he spoke, the sounds of fighting drew closer, the clash of steel and the sharp crack of gunfire reverberating through the ancient halls. Soldiers burst into the room, their faces etched with panic.

"They've breached the second gate!" one of them shouted, his voice quivering. "We're being overrun!"

As the castle descended into a maelstrom of violence, the sounds of brutal gunfire and desperate shouts created a cacophony of chaos in the air, but the Rajputs fought with unmatched ferocity. Their battle cries echoing through the chaos. But amidst the clamor, Evan's calm, mocking voice lingered in their minds—a chilling reminder of the overwhelming power their enemy had unleashed upon them.

The grand hall was thick with tension as the cries of battle outside grew louder with each passing moment. The door to the chamber creaked open, and three superhumans entered, their expressions grim and their bodies battered.

"Sir, we can't hold on much longer!" one of them blurted, his voice tinged with desperation.

"The enemy is countless times stronger than us," another added, wiping blood from his brow.

Pratap's fists slammed against the table, his face a mask of rage and disbelief. "What? What nonsense is this? After all the resources we spent on you, this is what you give us? Useless!"

His voice cracked with frustration. "How can we lose so easily? Where is the resistance? Where is the bloody spirit of Rajputs?"

Rudra stepped forward, his glare sharp enough to cut steel. "How could this happen? What are you facing that's so insurmountable?"

Before the superhumans could answer, the doors burst open with a thunderous crash. Everyone turned to see a group of intruders stepping into the hall, their appearance sending a chill through the room. Clad in weaponized suits that resembled the legendary Halo Master Chief, the intruders exuded an aura of unyielding dominance.
