The Tale Of Kitsuna

Chapter 82

Chapter 82: Thats quite a lot

“What, a dragon!” Dalton shouted, looking at Kayda.

Kayda, in her Dragon form, looked like a western dragon from Earth. She had 2 giant wings on her back with her tail that had 4 spikes on each side at the end. She also had 2 sets of horns on her head. She was 12 meters tall and 23 meters in length, tail included.

“Dalton, calm down. It’s me, Kay. I don’t have time to explain. Get all of the injured people on my back. I will fly to the capital and come back for you guys.” Kayda said in her dragon form.

“I will tag the people who we can save with me ice magic. If they are not tagged, ignore them. They won’t survive. there will be 16 people tagged, okay.” I said, making everyone look at me baffled.

“What do you mean, ignore the rest!” Gaby shouted, looking at me with anger visibly in his eyes.

“Big guy, we don’t have a healer with us, and Kay here can’t carry everyone at the same time, and they will need to survive my ice,” I said, tapping my foot on the ground making lines of ice going out of my feet towards the injured.

“Tsk, bitch.” Gaby muttered before starting himself.

“Gaby, she is right. You can’t save everyone.” Catrina said, tapping the big guy on the back.

.....

‘Yeah, listen to her, you dumbo.’ I thought, annoyed being called a bitch.

“Move it, guys. We don’t have all day. More monsters will be here any moment now.” Kayda said angrily, glaring at us all in her dragon form.

“Yes, Ma’am!” We shouted, moving faster.

‘Yeah, she is scary.’ I thought, moving faster after seeing her glare.

20 minutes later, we lined all the injured up next to Kayda, ready to put them on her after making the ice blanket to hold them in place.

“Kay, you better give me more mana after this,” I said, putting my hand on the ground.

“How am I suppose- EEEEHHHHH, why is so Cold!” Kayda shouted in surprise, feeling the ice covering her midsection.

“Quiet down. You going to let everyone know about us,” I said, not stopping my ice magic covering Kayda and the injured.

‘The more mana I use, the colder it gets, but to think Kayda would feel the cold in her dragon form.’ I thought, chuckling to myself.

“ORC coming out!” Dalton suddenly shouted, seeing an orc coming out of the dense forest.

“See, it’s all your fault for shouting like that,” I said with sarcasm.

“Oh, you. I will get you back for that.”

“Hey, Catrina, how many orcs at once can your group hold back,” I asked, looking back at Catrina behind me.

“About 3 or 4 tops for 10 minutes,” Catriona said hesitantly.

“So, you guys can take 2 and win. Good to know.” I said, nodding, seeing everyone go except Catrine to deal with the orc. Looking around at the forest, I saw nothing more nearby.

“Cough, Cough.” Suddenly, we heard a man coughing from between the injured I was busy freezing.

“What the hell is this?” The man shouted while struggling to get out of the ice.

“Sir, please refrain from moving like that,” I said, looking at the guy, annoyed.

“Who are you?’ He asked, looking at me warily.

“First, calm down. My friend here will fly you and everyone else to get healed in the capital,” I explain, looking up at Kayda.

“A Dragon here and a red scale one at that. No way you must be. I heard you received your wings but to think.” The man said, baffled.

Click Click

“Attention here, buddy. what did this to you guys?” I said, snapping my fingers to get his attention again.

“Oh, it was a king orc.” He said a bit heavily.

“Newly evolved one?” I asked with some hope.

“No, it has been killing for a while now. It should be midway to its next evolution. That is the reason why the guild sent 40 of us to kill it.” the man said, looking up at the sky.

“40 there is only 23 of you guys here,” Catrine said with a heavy face.

“The rest probably going after the guy or just tracking it to its new location.” The guy said, relaxing a bit.

“Kayda, you better come back fast. even if I use that skill, I don’t think I will be able to kill the guy if he comes back.” I said, looking up at her while pulling the rest of the blanket of ice on top of her, securing everyone and ready to go.

“Who do you think I am,” Kayda said, giving me a prideful grin in her dragon form.

“One fat dragon that still needs to give me mana,” I said, holding out my hand towards her but was bet with a dragon claw coming down on my head.

Boom!

“I will one day make you pay for all your talk,” Kayda shouted angrily, looking down at me under her claw.

“Ha-ha, yes, yes. you always say that.” I said, smiling at her, feeling her giving me mana.

“Tsk, fucken fox,” Kayda said before jumping up and flying towards the capital.

“Are you okay?” Catrina said, walking closer to me worriedly.

“Yeah, I am fine. more importantly, we have company.” I said, waving her off. Looking at my right were 5 orcs that just came out of the forest. Smirking, I added. “Oh great, we can finish our quest.”

“This is not the time for you to remember about our quest,” Gaby shouted, running past me.

“No fun,” I mumbled, looking at his shield sharing the one orc while taking out my two katana at my waist.

‘These two are my best work so far. hopefully, they hold out until Kayda comes back.’ I thought while inspecting the Katanas.

“I understand your katanas are pretty, but we are in a tight spot here,” Catrina said beside me.

“Hmm, I know. Just wondering how much power it will take to cut off an orc head with one strike,” I said, looking at the necks of the 3 meters tall orcs.

“That...” Catrina started but didn’t see me next to her anymore.

Splat.

“Aah, man, it takes everything I have just to do it,” I said, disappointed, looking at the orc head on the ground before jumping to the next orc.

“She just,” Gaby muttered, seeing me jump up.

“I couldn’t even see her move,” Catrina said, baffled.

“Oi, there is more coming our way. I can’t kill all of them.” I shouted back at them while cutting the 4th orcs head off.

“Shit, 6 of them,” Dalton shouted worriedly.

“Tsk, I will stall them. You take the last one of this group, then come help me take the rest out,” I said, annoyed before flash stepping to the 6 that just came out of the forest.

Appearing behind ones’ right leg, I cut off his tendons, making him fall to his knee, giving me enough reach to his head. Bring down my blade IO suddenly stopped and dropped down, rolling away, dodging a giant club coming down at my position. Sadly, the guy I was attacking wasn’t so lucky and got crushed by the club, confusing me.

“Wasn’t that guy your comrade, dipshit?” I said, annoyed, putting one of my katanas back in its sheath.

“Too weak.” The orc said, surprising me.

“Oh, you can talk. Not that I care.” I said, tilting my head before making two daggers in my green hand and throwing them at the orcs’ eyes.

“AAAHHH.” Hitting its mark, the orc dropped his club and held his face in pain. Seeing the opening, I ran up to the top of his head and stabbed down into his head, killing him.

Thud

“Agh?” One of the orcs grunted, confused seeing his comrade fall.

“You guys are slower than a brick phone,” I said, running at rest with both Katanas unsheathed again.

Seeing me run at him, he brought down his club that I easily sidestepped. Stopping in my tracks, I jumped back, narrowly missing a beam of fire coming out of the forest towards the orcs in front of me.

“Sigh, that was a close one.” A woman said, coming into the clearing smiling at me.

“...” looking at the charged corpses and to the woman, I saw she was wearing a very revealing red dress. she had black hair with blue eyes. she was a pretty one, and I could already tell she was a fire mage and high-level one at that.

“Hey, where is my th-UGH.” The woman started talking before I Flashed Step before her, grabbing her neck while glaring at her.
