The Record Of Barton's Fantastical Events

Chapter 119 - Madman

Chapter 119: Chapter 20 Madman

Entering the Western District, Benjamin slowed down the car. The social divisions in the Western District of Barton were very straightforward. The upper-class people lived near the Charles River. Along the Charles River, the further toward the west, the higher the people’s status was. People like Barton and Quinns lived on the westernmost side, but Quest lived closer to the east.

After confirming the identity, Benjamin’s truck was able to drive into the manor. The style of Quest’s manor was much simpler than that of Quinn’s. The front yard had only a white stone road and neat lawns on both sides. There were no artificial landscapes like artworks and fountains.

Led by the servants, Zach and Benjamin walked inside. Not knowing if it was because the owner belonged to the younger generation. The style of the interior was completely different from the gorgeousness of Barton’s manor and the tradition of Quinn’s manor. Instead, it was similar to James Rance’s stiff modern art style.

The wall was decorated with disordered black, white, and metallic lines, giving people a sense of visual confusion. As if coming from the wall, a man of about 30 years old appeared suddenly and stood behind the main hall, “You are here.”

There were heavy dark circles around Quest’s eyes, and it seemed that he hadn’t had a good rest for a few days. A man in formal clothes hurriedly walked over from the side hall with a document in his hand. As soon as he arrived before Quest, he was pushed away by Quest and heard him say, “Yuri can wait!”

Zach bowed slightly and bowed, with a slight smile on his face: “Is Mr. Quest busy?”

“No.” Quest directly pushed away the person who seemed to be his assistant, and signaled to Zach and Benjamin, “Come with me.”

The two looked at each other and followed Quest.

Quest did not go to the second floor. According to the custom of the Federation, the living room was generally on the second floor. Zach and Benjamin frowned, observing their surroundings without asking questions.

They did not have servants following them. The assistant-like person could only wait in the main hall in an anxious manner, and the documents in his hands had already been crumpled. It seemed that Quest had really been dealing with some important work. The visit of Grande “brothers” seemed to have interrupted it. But Quest himself clearly believed that the ‘Grande” visit was more important.

Passing through the front hall of the manor and entering the atrium, it was still a simple lawn, with a billiard table and some metal racks for barbecue in the corner, and the swimming pool in the center. Sure enough, they were young people, and their needs were more realistic.

The three of them walked all the way to the back of the swimming pool. There was a triangle-shaped suite with only one story. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows were covered by beige curtains.

Quest glanced at the two of them, and seemed to have something to say, but in the end, he didn’t say anything and pushed the door open.

Only three or four servants stood in this peculiarly shaped room, and all bowed when they saw the master coming in.

“Get out!” Quest waved and gave the order.

Zach and Benjamin didn’t say much about Quest’s behavior, but noticed that each servant had some minor injuries. Carrying on walking inside, inside of the suite, two people were tied to the two beds. Yes, they were tied.

The black belts were buckled on the people in the gray straitjackets, and both people – a man, and a woman, were struggling and twisting very hard.

Their arms were wrapped in long sleeves and tied tightly across their chests. On the ankles, knees, waist, chest, neck, and forehead, the black belt was stretched tight, and the fastened metal buckle clicked because of the twisting of the two. Their mouths were sealed by a leather cover, and their eyes were bloodshot. They obviously noticed someone coming and desperately wanted to raise their heads to see who it was.

Neil’s appearance wasn’t that bad, but Tiffany’s long blonde hair was disheveled and entangled. Her wide-eyed eyes looked at the two people approaching. Muffled screams came from under the leather cover on her face. Clearly, she was terrified.

Neil’s movement also increased; he desperately wanted to turn his head, and his dark pupils turned to one side, exposing the blood vessels on the sclera, staring fiercely at the two people approaching Tiffany. If it weren’t for the belt, Zach believed that this guy would definitely charge at him and bit him!

Zach glanced at Benjamin, who was also frowning, and now he could understand why Quest kept the two people away from the main house.

Zach stretched out his hand to loosen Tiffany’s mask. This scene was too uncomfortable for him.

“She will bite you.” Quest stood on the spot, his clenched fists trembled slightly, not because he dared not approach, but because he was afraid that he would lose control if he approached. If your family member was crazy, what would your behavior be like? Look at Quest, this was what it should be like, extremely anxious, and not knowing what to do.

Zach stopped and looked at Quest, “You can leave now, I will handle it from here. If there is a problem, we will find you.”

“What are you going to do? !” If you ignore his dark circles, Quest was a very attractive man. Clear-cut features, deep eyes, but now his whole body reeked the breath of hysteria, but there was a gloomy feeling of a murderer.

Zach curled his mouth, just looked at him without answering.

The shoulders of Quest’s tight shirt were shaking, and he pressed his lips tightly, and the sound of the air being inhaled quickly could be heard.

After a brief silence, Quest turned and left the suite.

“The atmosphere is really tense.” Benjamin shrugged.

Zach tilted his head.

The descriptions of James and Quest were too vague, and the newspaper did not say that they had completely lost their mind. The situation of Neil and Tiffany now showed that in addition to their terrible mental state, they were prone to be violent. Being restrained like this had already indicated the need for aggressive treatment.

Zach hesitated for a while, bent down, and approached Tiffany, who was struggling; but his eyes looked at Neil, “We are here to help you. We were the ones who found you. You can trust us. Blink once if you understand; blink twice if you don’t. ”

Four bloodshot eyes stared at Zach.

Zach shook his head, straightened up, took a metal liquor bottle from his pocket, and took a sip. He originally wanted to use a more human way, but it seemed like he had to do it in a vampire’s way.

Benjamin walked towards Neil, stood in between the two beds, blocking Neill’s sight.

Crimson spread from Zach’s pupils, covering the entire iris, “Tiffany, we are here to help you. Now, I will remove your mask and ask you some questions. You have to answer me…”

Zach didn’t continue; he frowned, the crimson in his eyes faded. Benjamin also frowned and looked at Tiffany, who was still afraid and scared even when Zach used hypnotizing eyes. What the vampire wanted to implant in her brain was shielded by her own thinking, and hypnosis had failed.

The essence of the hypnotizing eyes was to implant false memories, which could be a short-term decision or a long-term life memory.

Very powerful, right? But do you remember the first step of hypnotizing eyes? Create a memory that will elude the brain, but the only memory that the brain accepts will be treated as reasonable by the brain.

But how to define what a madman thinks is reasonable? Perhaps the madman himself knows it.

Zach took another sip of the ‘alcohol’ and walked towards Neil. He did not directly use the hypnotizing eyes, but looked at this man who had been struggling from the beginning more intensely than hypnotizing eyes most sincerely

“Neil, we are here to help you. We need to know what happened to you before we can help you. Can you understand what I’m talking about?”

Neil was still struggling, looking at Zach with bloodshot eyes, and Zach tried to see the emotion in such a pair of eyes.

“Are you trying to protect Tiffany?” Benjamin spoke suddenly.

Neil’s eyes suddenly shifted, his body stopped twisting, and he looked at Benjamin who was talking.

Benjamin glanced at Zach and gave him a signal. The two moved aside and no longer blocked his sight. Benjamin continued to say to Neil, “Do you want us to untie her?”

Neil glared at Benjamin and then at Tiffany, his bloodshot eyes went back and forth several times, and he blinked.

“But we can’t.” Benjamin continued, “She is very unstable at the moment.”

Benjamin’s palm was pressed against Neil, who was suddenly twisting and struggling, and forced him to listen to himself, “She will hurt herself, you don’t want to see her hurting herself, right!”

Neil’s struggle stopped again, and then immediately became violent again.

This short change meant that he still had the ability to think.

“If we know what happened and figure out what made her lose her mind, maybe it can help her so she won’t hurt herself.” Benjamin continued, “Did you hear what I said?”

Neil’s struggle stopped again, and he blinked.

Without waiting for Benjamin to signal, Zach’s eyes already turned red, and they met with Neil’s eyes, “We are here to help Tiffany. To help her, we need your help, and you will help us.”

The emotion in Neil’s eyes gradually calmed down, but the hypnosis seemed to be overdone. Now his pupils were dilated, looking at the two red dots as if he was absent-minded. With his current dress, he looked just like someone with dementia that had just undergone radical ‘treatment’. This meant that the hypnosis succeeded.

Zach didn’t get distracted and thanked Benjamin for finding a breakthrough, staring at the person who was tied up in front of him, “I will untie your mask, I will ask you questions, and you will answer me.”

The belt against Neil’s forehead rubbed against his skin, and the nod was not obvious. But the vampire did not need to confirm it; these words were just to consolidate the effect of hypnosis.

Benjamin untied the belt that had stretched to the edge of the bed and loosened the restraints that had restrained Neil’s neck and forehead. Zach groped behind Neil’s head and unbuttoned the mask.

“Remember, you are trying to help Tiffany.” Zach’s forehead twitched slightly. Under the mask, the rubber gag was tucked into Neil’s mouth. Zach took the gag out and threw it aside, staining the white sheet with blood and saliva.

A dry, hoarse voice came from Neil’s throat. Zach pinched his chin, did not let him cough, but kept staring at him with his hypnotizing eyes.

“Now, tell me what happened that day.”

After the uncomfortable retching sound, Neil finally had the ability to speak, “It, it attacked us!”

“It?” Zach and Benjamin frowned at the same time. The Tulpa they discovered was supposed to be a man, so it should be ‘him’. But now there was no time for them to exchange looks. God knew that without the influence of hypnotizing eyes, this Neil would bite his tongue or not. But thanks to the influence of hypnotizing eyes, Neil’s mind was at least not in a muddle.

“Teeth, claws… so sharp, like blades… it, black… big, like a huge dog!”

“Are you talking about wolves?”

Now was not the time to worry about Benjamin’s emotions, Zach asked, looking at the person in front of him.
