Early next morning, she located Xiao Liulang and asked him about the location of the Xiangyun Inn.

Xiao Liulang was puzzled: “Where did you hear about Xiangyun Inn?”

Gu Jiao calmly replied: “I heard about it yesterday while shopping at the marketplace. Is their food really that good?”

Hearing the commotion in the alley, Gu Jiao jumped off the carriage without hesitation and rounded to the other end of the alley.

The intense showdown was underway; no one noticed the tiny figure stealthily infiltrating their rear.

Gu Jiao found a sack hidden in the corner, carried out the unconscious child inside, and replaced the child with a big stone.

The assassins were no match for the man. After exchanging glances, they were about to resort to dirty tricks.

Somehow, he managed to notice her. His senses were incredibly sharp.

Gu Jiao, carrying the unconscious child, came out from behind the pillar: “It’s me.”

The man recognized Gu Jiao: “Why are you here?”

Gu Jiao just shrugged.

The man’s gaze fell on the child in her arms. At first glance, it seemed like the child she held that day, but on a closer look, it wasn’t. The kid was bald, but this child’s hair was long and tied up.

And this child wasn’t as adorable as Yu Xue, the kid from the other day.
