The Immortal Bai was regarded as one of the most powerful figures in Chaotian by the Cultivation circle; but strangely enough, the Cultivation practitioners didn’t have a high opinion of her in private.

Like Yin San, Jing Jiu and the late Kou Qingtong said, she was a bit narrow-minded in her conduct.

Yet, it wasn’t until now that the people realized how formidable and ruthless she really was.

She was truly relentless.

The Fairy Lady Bai Ren died in the high sky after turning into light specks.

The cloud boats of the Center Sect had been torn to shreds after being assaulted by the Sword Formation of Green Mountain; and at least a few hundred elders and disciples of the Center Sect had died in the battle.

Her own daughter sat by the side of Lian Sanyue with a pale face; and Bai Zao seemed to be in a terrible condition at the moment and might die as well.

However, under such circumstances, she seemed to be as calm or cold-hearted as ever, as if what was happening in the world was totally under her control.

It was not that she was pretending to be composed at the moment; it was simply because she herself hadn’t struck yet.

It was evident that Lian Sanyue and Jing Jiu didn’t have any energy left for fighting further; so who would fight next?

“Three wins out of five. The Green Mountain Sect has already won the contest.”

The voice of Bu Qiuxiao broke out in the sky, sounding collected and steadfast.

The Immortal Bai questioned after shooting a glance at the Boat of Diligent Study, “How can it be fair to fight one against two?”

Lian Sanyue and Jing Jiu had fought against the Fairy Lady Bai Ren. Regardless of whether they fought together or one after another, the fact was that the two of them had fought against one person.

“Cloud-Dream Mountain had two people fighting together too.”

The voice of the Young Zen Master came over as the lotus cloud drifted over from the south.

The Fairy Lady Bai Ren came down and resided in Bai Zao’s body; in a sense, the Center Sect had two people fighting together.

Yet, everybody was well aware that what the Immortal Bai claimed or what Bu Qiuxiao and the Young Zen Master said were merely excuses.

Three cloud boats of the Center Sect had been destroyed, and three valley masters, a dozen elderly swordsmen and hundreds of disciples had died in the battle; the Center Sect and the Green Mountain Sect were archenemies now. As such, the agreement between Jing Jiu and the Immortal Tan was meaningless.

Looking at the indifferent expression on the Immortal Bai’s face that was shrouded in thin fog, the people could tell that she wouldn’t give up so easily today, and that the attack of the Center Sect would continue; everybody present would die as a result.

A vague and formidable energy arrived in the square of the royal palace from the Boat of Diligent Study.

A bright light shone onto the square after being reflected by a mirror.

It was apparent that Bu Qiuxiao and the Young Zen Master were prepared to get involved in the battle.

“You two wish to die with them; no problem.”

The Immortal Bai strode one step toward the grand hall, ignoring the two of them.

It was a giant step.

The whole royal palace was shrouded in the fog.

The terrified cries broke out in the sky, as the remaining ten cloud boats were charging toward the royal palace. Yue Qianmen and other swordsmen in the Lianxu State stood at the bows of the boats, watching the surroundings in alarm.

The Immortal Bai strolled to the front of the grand hall, and asked Jing Jiu who sat on the stone steps, “The Sword Formation of Green Mountain is truly formidable; but can you employ it one more time?”

It was true that Jing Jiu couldn’t do it again.

All of a sudden, the people heard the sound of a flue rising melodiously in front of the front gate of the royal palace.

The sound of the flute seemed to come from the stream, or the back of a buffalo, or Green Mountain.

Then they saw a youth wearing a red cloth walked in from the front gate of the royal palace while playing the flute sideways.

As the sound of the flute echoed in the square of the royal palace, the swords inserted on the ground seemingly sensed something as it began to quiver slightly.

Along with the noise of friction, dozens of swords left the ground; after turning into formidable lights, these swords headed toward a swordsman of the Center Sect who attempted to enter the royal palace and killed him instantly.

In the next moment, more and more flying swords left the ground.

It seemed that the Sword Formation of Green Mountain was to be employed again.

The elders and disciples of the Center Sect found he was bad news, so they flew out of their cloud boats as soon as possible and employed their magic treasures and magic methods to attack that youth in red.

The youth in red ambled toward the grand hall while concentrating on playing the flute, as if he hadn’t noticed the actions of those elders and disciples in the least.

The sound of the flute was melodious. As he stepped forward, more and more swords quivered and then left the ground.

Whoosh!!! Whoosh!!! Whoosh!!!

Countless flying swords flew and traveled around the youth in red; then they darted away like being pulled by a thread, slashing those elders and disciples of the Center Sect in the sky.

Yue Qianmen descended from the sky, and shouted loudly, the magic treasure in his hand emitting a white glow and heading toward the youth in red.

Hundreds of flying swords of Green Mountain shot up in the sky and encircled the magic treasure after forming a ribbon-like shield.

Amid the slicing sound as intense as a rainstorm, the magic treasure was slashed into pieces.

Those flying swords didn’t cease their attacks; they continued slashing forward and passing through Yue Qianmen’s body.

Yue Qianmen let out an angry and painful cry, as his right arm was separated from his body and sliced by the sword wills into powder.

Severely wounded, Yue Qianmen didn’t dare stay a moment longer on the ground and returned to the cloud boat by using the Escape Method of Heaven and Earth.

The rest of the cloud boats charging toward the royal palace sensed the formidable sword wills filling heaven and earth, and halted.

...

...

The youth in red had finally put down the flute in his hands after arriving in the middle of the square of the royal palace. He looked at the Immortal Bai quietly.

The eyes of the youth were handsome and amiable, but the expression in his eyes was rather indifferent, as though he wouldn’t blink his eyes even if the whole world were destroyed in front of him.

Seeing this, the people had guessed that he must be the Immortal Taiping, or Yin San.

“I can still employ the Sword Formation of Green Mountain,” Yin San said to the Immortal Bai calmly.

He was the former sect master of Green Mountain, so he could of course summon the Sword Formation of Green Mountain, as long as Jing Jiu, who held the command board of sect master didn’t, stop him.

It was evident that Jing Jiu wouldn’t stop him under the circumstances.

The Immortal Bai said expressionlessly while staring at Yin San, “Though I have no idea how you’ve lasted up to now, I can tell that you’re still very weak.”

Smiling faintly, Yin San returned, “Even a small child can whack a few people to death as long as he is able to lift up an iron mallet.”

“I’d like to see you do it,” said the Immortal Bai expressionlessly.

...

...

The Center Sect had a good opportunity to get rid of Taiping, Jing Jiu and the others that day. More importantly, they had already lost a fairy book and a replica of the Fairy Lady Bai Ren; if they gave up and left Zhaoge City, they would have gained nothing after paying such a steep price.

Nobody thought the Immortal Bai would give up so easily that day.

The Sword Formation of Green Mountain summoned by the Immortal Taiping while playing his flute was obviously different from the one called upon by Jing Jiu.

Yin San smiled faintly at her and said, “I don’t think you have a chance.”

No sooner had he finished these words than thunder exploded in the sky.

This thunder didn’t come from the dark clouds in the high sky, but from northwest a hundred miles away.

Cloud-Dream Mountain was located there.

It was the roar of the Unicorn.

Hearing this angry roar, the people around the royal palace felt frightened, wondering if the divine animal of ancient times was to come out of the mountains. The Royal Concubine Hu looked ashen, wondering what they should do next. Jing Yao and State Duke Lu had grave expressions on their faces, thinking that their side would lose the battle for sure if the Green Mountain Sect was not to send any swordsmen to help out.

Unexpectedly, after hearing the angry roar of the Unicorn, the Immortal Bai disappeared from the square after glaring at Yin San and Jing Jiu and turning into a patch of cloud and fog.

The ten cloud boats had also retreated as quickly as they could and left Zhaoge City; they didn’t even have time taking care of their dead disciples in the square.

Looking in the direction of the sky, the people were baffled, wondering what was going on.

...

...

Thirteen sword boats of Green Mountain emerged from the clouds, laying siege to Cloud-Dream Mountain northwest of Zhaoge City.

It was the late spring, but a snowfall occurred.

The six peak masters, Yuan Qijing, Fang Jingtian, the Immortal Guangyuan, Nan Wang, Chen Youtian and Fu Wang, and Mo Chi and a dozen elders in the Broken Sea State were all looking down from above the ocean of clouds.

It turned out that the swordsmen of the Green Mountain Sect had all come here.

The sword boat of Green Mountain in the front had started attacking. Countless sword lights shot out from the boat, striking toward Cloud-Dream Mountain.

The light green glows kept on flashing, indicating that the Great Formation of Cloud-Dream was engaged in defending the mountains. Normally, the formation should be able to defend effectively, but for some reason, it seemed to be ineffective that day.

Tong Yan stood in the very front of that sword boat with a placid and calm expression on his face. He was constantly calculating the weak spots of the Great Formation of Cloud-Dream and its operation rules. Whenever he pointed his finger, the great many flying swords in the sky would change their course, heading toward the spot he pointed at.
