The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 368 - Go Back To Home?

Chapter 368 - Go Back To Home?

Dumbstruck from head to toe, Javier felt his mind go blank. There was nothing more to convey anymore, except the sensation of his heartbreaking into pieces surfaced inside his heart.

"Y...You knew everything?"

His heart told him to not believe this. Strongly do not believe this. But at the same time, his intuition was something that broke his willpower of the same. His eyes were filled with guilt to the end where he could sense his heart shattering into small pieces. And for the very first time, he felt betrayed by his wife... the wife whom he has loved for so long.

Subconsciously, he broke his embrace but the stare never got disturbed. The disbelieving eyes of his were staring at her as if he felt her words or being nothing but a lie to him. Only if this was the truth he came across.

"Javier..." Jennifer tried to take the initiative to hold him again but he immediately showed his hand to her. "Don't Jennifer..please don't..."

Jennifer could hear the stumble of his. The broken voice also tore her heart. The horror that struck him had plastered over his face. The same expression which haunted her for the nights. And because of the same fear, she never told him about everything.

She committed some mistake when she wasn't in her mind. When she hadn't learned herself falling for him and the biggest mistake was to go call Austin out here.

Recalling her own mistakes, some crushed feelings started to grab her own icy cold heart. Some warmth evolved in her eyes and she wasn't surprised by them, "Javier. ..please love..let me explain some things."

"Jennifer...I trusted you over everything. I know I committed mistakes, I got engaged but this? You knew Austin from before, you both planned something and you know that your parents are here?" Javier yelled in his uneasy voice which disturbed his mind.

Nothing could actually return his mental state anymore.

Something did strike his mind when his eyes widened even more, "D-Don't tell me...you....met with your parents here?"

Things weren't easy for him to absorb and he had hoped for a negative answer on this.

He hadn't expected her to not do this behind his back. At least she would have told him if she had met them...shouldn't she?

But his hopes were crushed into thousands of pieces when he got her slight nod.

And this broke the slightest string of his patience. She had done so many things behind his back and he...had no clue about any of them.

Closing his eyes, he tried his best to not let his emotions be reflected on his face. He had already shown too many when Lucas was also present with them. He loved her..he loves her.... but this heartbreak was hard to control.

How come he reached a heartbreak when she was the one who told him that she loves him? Jennifer was the one who proposed then what was this all? When did it all take place?

But this wasn't at all the major concern. The fact that hurt the most was simply, did she not think about him even once while doing so much behind his back?

When she clearly understood that the consequences would be simple, Lucas will take her away from him.

The actions confused him, to the level where it was hard to comprehend whether it was all in his favor or not.

"Jennifer...what have you done..." he uttered his soft voice, trying hard to not unleash his fury at his point.

"I…I didn't want to do that Javier! I..never did that intentionally but..it all happened. I wanted to tell you but..I was afraid, afraid that you will not understand me." hearing this, Javier's lips curved upwards.

When a droplet of tears escaped his eyes, he opened them to pass her a glare. Coming closer to her, he held her shoulders harshly before her face winced in pain. "Understand you?"

"I'm your husband! The person who loves you for so long. And you think that I won't understand your feelings if you had told same?" Javier found this to be a damn freaking joke played in front of him.

He didn't have the heart to do a drama in front of everyone but it was now getting out of his own sentiments. They were driving to the insanity which he wanted to avoid at any cost.

The fresh trail of tears continued to escape her face, "I..I never thought that you will think the way I think. And by the time I realized that....I should tell you, It was too late..too late for me to blurt out anything...Javier.."

She was guilt-ridden by herself. Her hands traveled to her own chest to catch her own heart with all the strength and stop it from pounding at such speed.

No matter how much she tried to lift her eyes and stare at his perfectionist and wounded face, she never found the courage to build inside herself.

But seeing her condition and Javier's fury only intruded Lucas' smile. "Tsk tsk...Jennifer, you broke the poor man's heart. That is not fair."

No one took the note of his words out that never meant that he won't vocalize, "But don't worry, you still have me as your fiance."

"After all, if you have someone as handsome as me, why even care about this Johnson heir?"

"SHUT UP LUCAS!" Jennifer yelled at the frustration that was making her heart pound.

It was all the sentiments which she endured making her react in such a rudest behavior.

"Jennifer! Is this the way to talk with your husband?" her mother, Amelia shouted from the other side with her narrowed eyes, "Don't act like a spoiled child. He is especially where to get you and you are crying for your kidnapper?"

Kidnapper? Jenifer's eyes flew to gaze at her mother, "So...you remember that you have a daughter who was kidnapped? So why did it take you so many days to actually take me out?"

"W-We were trying our best!"

Amelia snapped with confidence but that confidence brought a scoff out of Jennifer's lips, "If you were this concerned mother, you would have done something earlier. Your attitude and your smugness give detail about how concerned you were!"

Amelia was burning in the pit of fire when she was ready to have the words war with her daughter. But her father stopped him in the middle.

David came to hold Amelia's hand before he softly looked at his dear child with those pleading eyes, "Please child, don't get your mother wrong. You can fight with us no matter how much you want but...please, return with us now."

"It is time to go back to our home, your home."
