Chapter 149 - Little Swim
As I came out of Zero's subspace, a big smile appeared on my face because of everything that I had managed to accomplish over the past few days.
The most important thing that I had managed to achieve was killing Zero, which got rid of one of the strongest people in Perdere. However, I would still have to face his siblings, who were said to be even stronger than Zero.
One thing was sure. I would have to keep working on developing my use of Aether. I would need to become a lot more skilled at it since it would be the key to all those fights. If I had more Aether and could control it better than Zero's siblings, I would be able to beat them.
Nonetheless, killing Zero wasn't the only thing I had achieved. I managed to make a deal with God to obtain access to Aether. Sure, I had lost half of my strength in the process. However, I had also obtained a power that made me a lot stronger than before in terms of potential and the strength I had lost, I had been able to regain most of it in less than three months, which was an impressive feat by itself.
All those achievements were impressive. Yet, I still had done more over the course of three months.
I had managed to make connections with two political powers. The ancient tribe and the Ice Elves were now pretty much my allies. For the Ice Elves, Amelia just had to make a cleanup of the traitors, and I offered my help if she needed it.
There were even more things that I had done, but I had to admit that I hadn't lost any time over the past months. So many things had happened, and once I got back to the Human Kingdom, I also had a lot of things on my plate.
I couldn't wait to make the Evergreen Family pay for what they did.
As I looked around the Icy Lake, I noticed that Amelia and Phoebe were already in the process of talking to most of the girls who had come out, trying to comfort them.
Hank, however, was still lying down on the ground.
"Hank! Are you just sleeping, or are you still feeling bad?" I called out right away.
As I said those words, Hank's little head was raised with his eyes half-opened.
"Tsk, just leave me here. I'll find my way back, don't worry, Caedrel," Hank said as he closed his eyes again and went to sleep.
I didn't even bother to answer as I left him there, not the least worried about him whatsoever. I knew that he was going to be just fine without a doubt in my mind. After all, he was Hank. There was nothing that anyone could do to him.
However, before I left, there was still one thing that I wanted to do with the Icy Lake. Something that had interested me quite a bit. But before I did it, I needed Amelia to give me permission.
I walked up toward Amelia, who was still looking at me with her usual blush, unsure of what was currently going on in my mind.
"Uh… Caedrel? Is something wrong?" She asked with a confused look on her face.
"I need to ask you something."
"Oh, ask me whatever!" She sounded excited that I was asking her something for some reason. Maybe she liked that I was relying on her. Honestly, I had little to no clue about this whole thing.
"The Icy Lake. Would it be possible for me to go inside it for a few hours so that I can obtain the ice powers that all Ice Elves possess?" I asked. After all, I vividly remember someone mentioning something along those lines, and I wouldn't give up a power as strong as Ice Manipulation. This power had a lot of potential as long as I knew how to control it well.
Amelia didn't even hesitate when I asked her that question. "Of course you can! You already did so much for me. It's the least I could do! If you want others to join you, it's fine."
I nodded, happy that she had accepted such a proposition. She also accepted the invitation of others to join me.
"Phoebe," I called out to her as she was standing right beside Amelia. "Do you want to go inside the Icy Lake?"
She nodded right away as she almost proceeded to blush.
I had no idea why, but all those girls kept blushing around me for no reason whatsoever.
"Hey, everyone!" I said, catching the attention of all the former slaves. "We will stay here a few hours because I need to bathe inside this lake. If anyone wants to join me, you can do so. This lake has a lot of special properties, and it might be a good idea to go inside it."
"Special properties?" One of them uttered. "Like what?"
I just smirked. "Go inside it, and you'll understand what the effects are. All the fatigue you have accumulated over the years will be gone in an instant."
As I said this, they all suddenly became a lot more interested in the Icy Lake.
"D-Do we need to be naked to go inside this lake…?"
"Of course not! Keep your clothes on!" I said right away, as I could already see some of them undressing. "Still, it's your choice. If you want to be naked, then you can. But keep in mind that I'm around…"
Some of them continued to undress themselves as they immediately entered the Icy Lake, not even caring about the glances I gave them because they were used to much worse.
"N-Naked…why are most of them undressing?" Amelia whispered in my ear. "D-Do I also need to undress to join you?"n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
I looked at her with a look of pure confusion. "Don't you dare remove your clothes. Didn't you hear what I just said? You don't have to remove your clothes if you don't want to. Also, why would you even go inside the Icy Lake? Didn't you already gain the Ice Powers from it?"
However, Amelia didn't bother explaining the reason as she entered the Icy Lake under the gaze of everyone present. Of course, she still had her clothes on.
