Without hesitation, Erix and Rin released their attacks towards it.

Sling Shot Punches and Frenzied Blade Storm.

The punch projectiles and slashes entered into a wormhole before directly striking the Terror Nexus, creating minor cracks.

But those cracks recovered in a second.

'What the fuck?'

Erix and Rin frowned.

Just then, humanoid monsters shot out from the lake straight towards the duo.

These monsters were insectoid-like heads and various limbs with some having blunt hammer-like arms, some having scythes, and such.

All of them were at peak Royal-order in terms of stats and had a strange attribute to their power given by Terror Nexus.

'We'll need one big attack to destroy it. It got cracks even from her normal skill attacks, so if I go all out, I can reduce its durability to 0 at once,' Erix informed while killing the incoming monsters with his punches.

'Leave these monsters to me! Destroy that nexus,' Rin said, her eyes flickering with starlight motes as her Chronace Field expanded further.

Slowing down incoming attacks while speeding up her own attacks, Rin handled the incoming group of monsters, slaying them and defending Erix.

'Harrowing Spirit Crush...if I incorporate the specialty of this 2nd release in my attack, I should be able to 100% destroy this nexus,' Erix thought while performing his move.

His body glowed, transformed metallic. Strange patterns and nodes appeared all over his body as Erix intended to use his entire body as a medium to enact formations for a makeshift skill.

A makeshift skill combined with Harrowing Spirit Crush and his other most powerful move, the Skillcraft: Resonant Chaotic Twin Fists.

Erix didn't intend to use a perfect new move as he had no time to create and perfect it.

All he did was to enhance his already perfected Resonant Chaotic Twin Fists with the crushing power formation of Harrowing Spirit Crush.

As if sensing Erix's intention, the monsters didn't care about Rin and focused on Erix.

Rin's eyes turned red as she was going all out already, her figure and arms blurring as she exerted her physical and magic capabilities to the maximum to protect Erix.

'Three seconds.'

Erix's voice rang in her head, and Rin continued destroying the onslaught of monsters and their attacks around Erix.

Suddenly, a particular monster emerged at the very back, its hands resembling a rifle, but with a barrel that was five meters long.

It glowed darkly, with purple and yellow spots.

Aimed at Erix.

Within a second, it released the shot.

Tearing through everything, even some monsters on the way, it immediately entered Rin's Chronace Field while traveling towards Erix.

Rin shook as she sensed it, exerted her force to slow it down while also appearing before it and spinning as she went all out to release slashes to destroy it.

Her slashes could eventually destroy it due to her 'Severam' power…alas…

The strange bullet barely slowed down and ate some slashes, which didn't have much impact.

It tore forward, piercing into Rin's constant Chronace defense barrier, but proceeded ahead while getting its power consumed by her defense.

On the other hand, Erix was also ready as he shot his fists forward, unleashing a tractor beam of sorts that carried dark hazy purple punch projectiles with space motes keeping them in the beam while infusing inside to make the attacks more volatile as they travelled.

They traveled fast while the beam vanished from Erix's hands, getting carried with the two punches as they crashed into the Terror Nexus.

*Boom!*

And then, he felt a weight falling on his back with a painful grunt ringing in his mind.

All the monsters vanished, but Erix's eyes widened in shock, fear filling his eyes.

'Rin.'

"Rin!"

Erix swiftly turned around and held her, but his heart jumped at his throat upon seeing a hole in her chest.

[You have completed the main quest.]

[Congratulations. You have gotten the Wishfill's stone.]

A magical white stone with beautiful golden and blue curvy patterns appeared before Erix.

'Wishfill….' Erix immediately inspected the stone before a burst of joy appeared in his eyes.

He grabbed it and used it, crushing it into motes before Rin's departing soul wisp returned while the huge hole in her chest to stomach recovered in a second.

Rin's eyes opened as she took a sudden breath.

"What the hell…" Rin cursed dazedly before she saw Erix's face above her.

She immediately hugged him tightly.

"Damn it. I almost thought I died!"

Erix squeezed her hard in his hug and didn't say anything at first.

"You silly…" A hoarse voice finally left his mouth as the lump in his throat subsided.

"You scared the shit out of me," Erix pushed her shoulder to look at her with a grin and kissed her.

A second later, both of them vanished as Erix teleported them above the surface.

"Hey!"

Amu saw the duo appearing after it arrived here to locate Terror Nexus.

"You two destroyed it? Good, good."

Rin's comm card rang before any one of them could respond as she got a signal from her hunter card and took it out.

"It's Lilith."

[Lilith: Where are you?]

After the trio gathered together, they went back to the palace and entered the pond cavern with Amu.

"I think it happened because of Belrugian Vitalis," Lilith wryly smiled as she relaxed in the pond. There was an injury on her arm, and it was taking its sweet time to heal.

"And also, this was like the event that gave fortune and calamity of this place according to Granny May's route."

"Things happened and turned crazy so fast," Erix dryly chuckled. "Rin died and revived with that Wishfill stone."

"One single mistake and it could ruin us," Rin smacked her lips.

"It is worth it because we survived and got the reward," Lilith smiled and took out the Philosopher's stone. It was black but had colorful glowing dots at its center.

"This stone can turn into anything. Any material of our imagination, as long as we philosophically put it into words according to what we want."
