"What is that..." Lin Shen suddenly widened his eyes, looking in a certain direction.

Changhen Dongli subconsciously turned to look, but saw nothing and when he turned back, he found Lin Shen speeding through the distant mountains, fleeing for his life.

"Naive." Changhen Dongli's figure moved like a ghost, and in the blink of an eye, he was behind Lin Shen, reaching out to kill him on the spot.

Without looking back, Lin Shen fired a gun behind him and at the moment he fired, his speed surged, instantly shooting up to over one thousand.

Changhen Dongli reached out and caught the Pet Capsule shot by Lin Shen, and with a slight squeeze, crushed the bullet to bits.

Yet, the accelerating speed of Lin Shen made Changhen Dongli's eyes narrow, "What's with this guy's speed? That's not the speed an Ascender should have."

Glancing back at Wei Changqing and the others, Changhen Dongli did not hesitate to chase after Lin Shen.

The strange speed displayed by Lin Shen took Changhen Dongli by surprise, and he was not willing to give him any chance.

Moreover, the direction Lin Shen was fleeing toward was the exit of the underground space, and Wei Wufu and the others would have to go through there to leave the underground space.

Lin Shen fired the Pet Capsule from the Tyrant again, but this time it was not aimed at Changhen Dongli, but rather ahead to maintain his speed of over one thousand.

But even a speed breaking one thousand was not enough to escape Changhen Dongli's pursuit, as he quickly caught up, almost in the blink of an eye he was behind him.

Without even looking, Lin Shen waved the Inheritance Fan in one hand back and forth, while in the other hand, the Mutated Jade Exquisite spewed out Life Base, using the power of Suppressing Mountains and Rivers.

Just as Changhen Dongli was about to catch up with Lin Shen, he suddenly saw an influx of Mysterious Light Patterns and fluctuations coming at him, his Qi fiercely surging to shatter the Mysterious Light Pattern and the waves.

To his surprise, the Mysterious Light Patterns and the waves passed through his body, forming a brand that instantly reduced his speed, and once again the gap between their speeds widened.

While speeding up, Changhen Dongli used his Strength to erase the brand on his body, but found it had little effect.

"Interesting, the weakening talent of an Ascension Level actually had such an effect on me, these innate abilities are already approaching beyond the standard," Changhen Dongli said not with shock but with glee, a strange smile appearing on his face.

Despite facing a triple weakening, he once again caught up, quickly closing the distance between them.

"Sir... you... go..." Wei Wufu did not hesitate for a moment, he stood up and chased after them with all his might in the direction they left.

Others might doubt that Lin Shen was only trying to save himself, but Wei Wufu believed that Lin Shen was leading Changhen Dongli away.

Despite chasing desperately, Wei Wufu's speed was far inferior to that of Lin Shen and Changhen Dongli, and he was quickly left far behind.

"Damn it, this guy's too fast!" Lin Shen cursed inwardly.

Changhen Dongli, even with a triple weakening, was about to catch up with him in just a few breaths, his speed unbelievably fast.

Lin Shen fired a shot and leaped straight into the air, soaring into the sky.

"Courting death..." Changhen Dongli almost immediately followed right behind Lin Shen and also leapt into the air.

His speed was much faster than Lin Shen's, and just as he was about to catch up to Lin Shen in the sky, he suddenly noticed Lin Shen eerily changing direction in midair. Changhen Dongli's outstretched palm failed to grab Lin Shen, and his charging figure rushed past Lin Shen.

Changhen Dongli, infuriated with embarrassment, struck out with his hands unleashing terrifying bursts of energy, attempting to kill Lin Shen right there in the sky.

However, Lin Shen was darting and weaving in the sky as if he were on the ground, dodging Changhen Dongli's attacks time and again.

This time Changhen Dongli saw it clearly, Lin Shen was actually stepping on his own feet, continuously borrowing force to move through the air.

"What... what kind of talent is this... It seems to somewhat exceed the scope of cosmic laws..." Changhen Dongli's eyes brightened, and he actually stopped using his energy to attack Lin Shen, descending and then chasing after him once again.

The Pet Capsules available to Tyrants were limited; after firing a few shots, Lin Shen also forced himself to rush towards the high sky.

Unfortunately, although the underworld had flying restrictions, there was also a limit to how high one could go – there was a stone ceiling above. Otherwise, he only needed to keep rising into the sky to escape Changhen Dongli's pursuit.

Changhen Dongli, who was pursuing Lin Shen on the ground, saw Lin Shen's speed decrease and leaped up again, soaring into the sky.

Lin Shen wanted to use his aerial advantage to shake off Changhen Dongli again, but he saw Changhen Dongli clap his hands and send forth a surging force. That force actually pushed against his body, allowing him to change directions rapidly in the air like a jet propulsion system.

"You can play like that?!" Lin Shen was shocked, hurriedly firing another shot to increase his speed, then swiftly changing direction in midair.

Fortunately, Changhen Dongli's technique only allowed him to thrust rapidly in one direction; changing directions was much harder for him than for Lin Shen, who ultimately managed to shake him off.

Seeing Changhen Dongli fall back to the ground, Lin Shen seized the opportunity, stepping on his feet once more to gain altitude, and directly rushed towards the stone dome, catching hold of a crevice at the top, dangling beneath the dome and watching Changhen Dongli below.

"Are you also using the God-making Egg?" Changhen Dongli, seeing Lin Shen stop, surprisingly did not strike again and looked at him with his compound eyes, asking suspiciously.

"So what if I am? What does it matter if I'm not?" Lin Shen stalled for time with his words while considering all the possibilities in his mind.

Changhen Dongli was indeed at the Nirvana Level, but his speed was obviously much faster than that of an average Nirvana Level.

Lin Shen believed that he didn't have the ability to take a direct hit from Sir Qing and the others' combined strike; he merely dodged it using his speed.

If he really had the ability to take them head-on, why would he have dodged?

All of Sir Qing and their previous attacks had been directly crushed by Changhen Dongli, yet he dodged the last one, which showed that the blow had exceeded his tolerance.

Changhen Dongli's boasts were big, but after all, he was just at the Nirvana Level.

If he truly disregarded the Immortal and Realm King levels as he claimed, why would he be so afraid of the news getting out?

"If you have advanced using the God-making Egg, you truly stand a chance at becoming a god. I permit you to become my experimental subject," Changhen Dongli spoke as if he were offering Lin Shen a grace.

"You can continue to ascend using the God-making Egg, from Nirvana, to Immortal, to Realm King, until you break through the universe's boundaries and become a god controlling the cosmic order," Changhen Dongli's voice was full of enticement.

"Unfortunately, there aren't many God-making Eggs scattered around the underworld," Lin Shen stated.
