Chapter 312
312 Class evolution tree
Lilith became interested and questioned, “Does it mean Vincent can turn animals into pretty beastman? But what about the teachings in the book that was always accurate about souls and cores?”
“Hehe. It seems Lilith forgot how Vincent never does things the ordinary way. Additionally, Vincent says he is the Soul Hero. Lupa awoke a class when she became a retainer, Plow became intelligent yet didn’t change, and Iris, Olive, and Lian became a new race variant that...” Ester smiled and said, “honestly looks cute.”
[Haha. This is a funny thing to hear. Lilith is afraid you might turn Tusk and Nix into pretty beastman, and she might be even afraid Plow becoming a beautiful beastman as well.]
[However, if my assumption is correct, your power is at a level where you can modify a word or two in the let’s call it “the contract of fate that determines the future embed in the soul” and change the intellectual stat, class stat, and awakening form.]
[Or maybe Lupa was what people call the luck of the first try, hehe.]
After Kazumi said what possibly happened, Vincent comprehended what she tried to say with the long name explanation.
“I think I might be able to draw additional power from a soul such as allowing them to gain a class similar to Lupa. But I do not want to use animals to test this assumption. ” Vincent said.
“Yeah. I wished very had to become like my mate, and I changed.” Lupa added.
Ester raised her hand and gave Lupa a head pat. “Lupa didn’t change immediately, but she could communicate with Vincent like how Kazumi communicates with us. But Lupa scared me that day... her cute wolf legs were broken, and she was bleeding a lot... but Vincent, fortunately, bled on her with his uncontrollable power, and Lupa quickly healed as if nothing happened. Later Lupa shapeshifted and almost gave me a heart attack.”
.....
“Hehe, I have cute legs. I will tell this to Plow, hehe.” Lupa giggled.
*Cough* “We are getting sidetracked, but it is unconfirmed what actually happened. Ester and Iris didn’t change after my blood healed them.” Vincent tried to change the subject.
Lilith saw Vincent wink at her. She looked at Lupa and understood it wasn’t going anywhere if they kept mentioning how the white wolves could be a special kind of wolf.
“The subject changed, so let me return back to the previous topic. ” Lilith said to return back to the initial topic.
“Let me say what I know about the classes then. Classes are split into three categories: warrior class, multiple mage classes, and multiple crafting classes. ”
“What about bloodline classes? Lenn, for example, has a Berserker class.” Vincent asked.
“Regrettably, I don’t know much other than they are hereditary. Some are born with the fate to be different even if their bloodline never had a class different than the norm. ” Lilith replied.
“No problem. You can continue.” He said
Lilith nodded and continued.
“Warrior class can awaken into a Protector, the Guardian, then Paladin, and lastly Divine Paladin. But only if they have mana in their body, and we humans tend not to have much mana or none.”
“The books state that Warriors tend to be aggressive when they are asked if they have mana because they can’t improve without mana in their body. Some adventurers end up joining the army of a kingdom and become vice-captains.”
“Next are classes regarding magic. There are a lot because they branch into many paths. Most commonly are Mages. Similar to warriors with mana in their bodies, Mages can awaken into an Advanced Mage, then Wizard or Witch, then Grand Wizard or Witch, then Sage, and lastly Magus.”
“There are bloodline magic classes such as a Healer which people can have this class even if no previous generation had one. But as you might have already guessed, one needs to be proficient for the chance of awakening to bless them.”
“I tried so hard, yet I could not awaken. I studied so many books about health, anatomy, and first aid. I bought them to read and read again and again and... but I never could awaken into a healer class and try to study enough to find a cure for my condition.” Lilith expressed the wish to save herself, even if it was futile, it kept her determination to survive burning, yet it never happened.
“But I was saved in the end, so the past is the past. I don’t care anymore. Now I should stop getting uncontrollably fat in six days. Today was the second time I had eaten so much food in the last ten years. It was a feast indeed.” Lilith said while looking at Vincent with a warm smile.
[But Lilith ate about half an egg, a piece of meat about the size of a chicken nugget, and one or two pieces of vegetables.]

Vincent felt terrible for making Lilith suffer six more days of barely eating food.
A while later, Lilith continued explaining regarding classes.
“The other bloodline class I know about is the infamous Soulmancer class. The elves are spiritual people, and they believe people become living souls after they die, but the Soulmancer uses fragments of the soul to recreate a newborn soul or something like that. I do not know the specifics.”
“Any unfortunate elf with such class is ostracized, and their family usually condemns their family members as it is a sin to temper with souls.”
“Then I need to stay far away from the elven locations. I am the Soul Hero, hehe.” Vincent joked.
“I agree. ” Lilith said. Then she continued with the magic-type classes.
“The sigil mage, scribe mage, and glyph mage are classes in between the magic and crafting type classes. But I don’t know much other than sigil mages suffer from using their spells and scribe mages create scrolls.”
“Yes... sigil mages suffer. Thankfully Vincent was with me, similar to how my stepfather was for there my mother, who was a sigil mage like me. My mother never used her spells and had to live an ordinary life.” Ester said. She gave Lupa another head pat and said, “Lupa and Vincent took care of me and saved my life when I practiced a little in hopes to grow stronger slowly...”
“It was a crazy thing to do now that I can look back to the past and talk about it. ” Ester added.
“It sounds romantic...” *cough, cough* Lilith noticed she was speaking out loud. Her cheeks blushed. “I am glad Ester is healthy.” She quickly said.
“Kazumi wants to know if there are any Divine Paladins and Magus alive. Honestly, I am curious as well.” Vincent asked.
“I want to know too. Are there a lot of strong humans to fight?” Lupa asked excitedly. It was apparent she wanted to fight against powerful people to prove herself.
“I am not that knowledgeable, but I know that the last Magus, who was an elf, died in the same year the second person to travel the world like Vincent was killed. I think it should be about five hundred and fifty or something years ago or so.”
“As for the highest mage class right now, it is the Sage class. There aren’t many Sage class mages, and some are even kept in secret as they are considered a trump card. As far as I know, the Berlucia Kingdom has the oldest, wisest, and strongest Sage class mage in the world.”
“On the other hand, the Lusterfall Kingdom has the strongest Divine Paladin in the world. He acts as a royal guard and personally protects the king and the princess.”
“What about the queen?” Vincent curiously asked.
“She... she passed away after the princess was born. ” Lilith answered.
“I hope the princess can live a good life at least. ” Vincent said. Then he tried to change the somber mood in the room. “Are there adventurers of a similar level to the best of these two kingdoms?”
“I don’t know much. I heard from Maid Xu that many strong adventurers started migrating to the northern continent. She used this opportunity to leave her home and escape the forced marriage for a new life. But she said things happened, and my father later saved her.”
“Maid Xu thinks the adventurers wanted to have more monsters to hunt. The competition for the overhunted B Rank plus monsters decreased rapidly. The Southern Continent became a safer place to live in at the cost of less money to be made by B Ranked and almost all A Ranked adventurers and above.”
“In other words, some remained as adventurers to keep experiencing the thrill of battle and profit, so they went to the Northern Continent, while others possibly found work with nobles or became nobles.” Vincent summarized.
“Yes, I suppose. ” Lilith replied.
“Do you know anything about the dwarven kingdom? I am planning to go there one day.” Vincent asked.
“The dwarven kingdom has a few people with classes similar to Sakura. They are famous for making Golden Runed Hollow Coins.”
“I read from a recent news article that they enforced the weapon production rules and regulations as some people fear the tension between the Lusterfall kingdom and the Selos Kingdom.”
“The article mentioned the ban of weapon trading, sale of materials used in weapon making, and orders must be done officially. The king of dwarves later decides to accept or decline the commission.”
[So a war is brewing, huh? Having a place to return involved in a war could become dangerous. My, my, what bad luck we have.]
