Chapter 304 Danger Everywhere
"Luckily, I brought enough rejuvenation pills."
Grabbing a protruding rock, Blaze Regret retrieved two round pills from his void realms stone, placing them into his and Red's mouths. His fear of the Black Abyss deepened.
In such an unknown place, maintaining a constant sense of fear increases the chances of survival.

Suddenly, Blaze Regret's foot halted in mid air. He vaguely heard a sound just now. Though it was extremely faint, he clearly caught it.
It seemed as if something was tearing through the rock...
"Whoosh!"
As Blaze Regret's nerves tensed, the rock he was holding suddenly shattered, and a slender vine shot out, leaving a long bloody scratch on his palm.
Quickly retracting his hand, Blaze Regret was secretly shocked. Even the attack of a seventh tier Imperial grade spirit beast couldn't leave a mark on his hand. Whatever this was, it seemed far from ordinary.
The vine that had slashed Blaze Regret's hand traced a bizarre arc in the air, darting toward his eyes with lightning speed. Blaze Regret could only stomp his foot and fall off the cliff to evade it.
"Whoosh!"
Magnificent ice wings appeared behind him as the Ice Control Irenix caught him in a swift maneuver. Meanwhile, Red clung tightly to Blaze Regret's robe with its claws, fearing they might fall.
Lying on the back of the Ice Control Irenix, Blaze Regret's serious gaze fell back to the cliff. Countless slender vines extended from the rock face, spreading hundreds of meters like climbing plants.
At the end of each vine was a small black orb, which split open to reveal black eyeballs!
Seeing this scene, Blaze Regret felt a slight chill run down his spine. It took him a moment to recall the name of this spirit beast in his mind.
Devil Vine, a mid level lord grade spirit beast with wood attributes.
The most notable feature of this spirit beast was its massive size. A juvenile Devil Vine could cover hundreds of meters of a cliff wall, while a fully matured one could reach thousands of meters!
Realizing that a moment's delay could have led to his death from the Devil Vine's entrapment, Blaze Regret's heart raced.
"Shhh!"
The vines on the cliff wall suddenly broke free from their constraints, surging toward Blaze Regret on the Ice Control Irenix. Each black eyeball was filled with intense killing intent.
With a fierce flap of its wings, the Ice Control Irenix rapidly retreated. Tens of thousands of slender vines converged into a thick mass in front of it, like dense seaweed in the ocean, creating a striking and formidable sight from afar.
The black eyeball hovered in front of Blaze Regret, less than an inch away from his chest. Any closer, and it could have easily penetrated his body.
Swallowing quietly, Blaze Regret summoned an ice blade in his hand without hesitation and swiftly sliced through the vine.
Even after the Ice Control Irenix flew a considerable distance away, the Devil Vine remained frozen in its previous posture, as if petrified.
Witnessing this, Blaze Regret was drenched in sweat. He realized that the Devil Vine's roots were nearly detaching from the cliff wall. Had the vines been just a bit longer, he might have already become a lifeless corpse!
"That was close; my life almost ended."
Breathing a long sigh of relief, Blaze Regret's limbs were still cold. No wonder the people at Blood Stone Pass dreaded the Black Abyss so much. He hadn't even reached the bottom and had already encountered two deadly dangers!
The howling cold wind whistled past his ears, and Blaze Regret knew he could no longer afford any complacency. He had to remain utterly vigilant, or he might not even know how he met his end!
"Whoosh!"
Just as they were about to land, the Ice Control Irenix tilted its form, allowing Blaze Regret to quickly leap down. He cautiously surveyed the surroundings, only relaxing once he confirmed there were no threats.
"The Black Abyss isn't very large overall. A few rounds should reveal the location of the wood elemental mystical beasts."

With these thoughts, Blaze Regret's gaze shifted to the leftmost peak. He decided to start his search there, hoping he wouldn't encounter anyone from the Blood Seal Gate before that.
As he carefully walked on the pitch black ground, Blaze Regret scanned the area. The entire Black Abyss was littered with rubble and strangely growing trees. Scattered white skeletal remains lay about, with no one knowing what events had transpired there.
Fifteen minutes later, Blaze Regret stood before the mountain peak, his gaze slowly scanning the mountain face until it suddenly stopped at a section obscured by a horizontal log. Behind the log, there seemed to be a hollow space.
Such places were almost everywhere, but Blaze Regret's eyes were fixed on the hollow behind the log. After a moment, a chilling sensation suddenly shot up his spine. If there was something behind there, he was already surrounded!
As if to confirm his suspicion, a log gently shifted, revealing a pair of menacing deep yellow eyes behind it. All the logs were pushed to the ground with a series of thuds!
"Hiss!"
A blackish Red snake, with a crimson forked tongue, slithered out from the cave behind the logs. Following it, a swarm of snakes emerged from all directions, their cold eyes fixed intently on Blaze Regret.
"Red Venomous Snakes..."
Blaze Regret's mouth felt dry, and his face turned a bit pale. This type of spirit beast was rarely seen in the outside world, even labeled as rare, yet here they were in such great numbers.
Red Venomous Snake, initially ranked as high level Imperial grade, with a poisonous attribute.
Blaze Regret wasn't intimidated by the high level Imperial Grade Red Venomous Snakes, but his gaze was fixed on two Red Venomous Snakes atop the cliff. They both possessed the strength of a third tier mid level lord grade!
While Blaze Regret's nerves were taut, he failed to notice that the seed inside his clothing seemed to quiver slightly, emitting a faint, sweet fragrance.
