'What the...'

The assassin looked at Lucas and Beck with terror as he didn't understand what just happened.

'Is it all a dream?'

The assassin muttered to himself as he continued muttering while imagining the pain he felt earlier, 'No. It was very real to call it a dream.'

'Whose skill or spell is that?'

The assassin didn't have a single clue as he looked at Lucas and Beck trying to understand who is the mastermind behind what just happened to him.

"Everyone, attack."

'Bind'

As for Lucas and Beck, they didn't bother to say anything to the assassin, as the assassin saw Beck order her spirit beasts once again.

'Aargh'

Once again, the assassin had experienced a painful death before waking up only to see that he was still alive as he returned to the time where Lucas signals the signal to Beck.

The assassin was trying to stop what Beck was planning to do to him; however, he was too late as all the rank 3 spirit beasts used the same set of skills, making the assassin experience the painful death for the third time.

'Young master, I can't use the 'Illusion eye' another time.'

After making the assassin experience death for the third time, Beck silently transmitted her voice to Lucas.

That's right!

Until now, it was Beck who used her second skill which he gained from contracting the netherworld's spider to make the assassin experience death three times.

"So, do you want to die once more?"

After replying to Beck, Lucas looked at the soulless eyes of the assassin and asked with a slight smile on his face.

"No more...please stop doing it and kill me for real; instead of making me suffer."

The assassin weakly fell to his knees as he begged them to kill for real.

"You know we can't do that unless you tell me who put a bounty on my head?"

Lucas knew how to break an assassin and he was confident that the assassin would answer his question this time.

"I...I don't know."

The assassin hesitated a little as he shook his head; however, when he saw the frown on Lucas' face, he became anxious as he continued, "All I know about is, this bounty came from the royal city's assassin guild."

"Huh? Why would they want to kill me?"

Lucas frowned as he asked another question to that assassin with a face full of seriousness.

"Th...this I don't know. Maybe someone from the royal city wants you dead."

The assassin shook his head as he continued, "However, one thing was sure, the reward was very high that the guild master Ghost snake asked us personally to kill you."

While saying that, the assassin pointed his finger at the corpse of the other assassin, lying in the distance.

"Okay. I will believe you."

As soon as he replied to the assassin, Lucas threw his short sword at the assassin and successfully killed him.

'Ding,

        The host killed a tier 1 general assassin and gained 100 sovereign points.

          Total sovereign points:- 1632.

Lucas casually took a look at the total sovereign points before walking to the assassin.

'Puchi'

"Beck, you need to stop worrying about me."

Pulling out his short sword from the assassin's body, Lucas replied to Beck as he said, "Let's go now."

'I...'

Beck wanted to say something; however, she was unable to say those words as he summoned back all her spirit beasts except for Ada, the white lion.

'I came to this firmament only a couple of weeks back. Other than the Grayeye family, there was no one who was angry with me.'

'However, he clearly said, the mission came from the royal city's assassin guild of this firmament.'

On their way back, Lucas started thinking about the last of the words of the assassins and started analyzing his enemies in this firmament.

'From the time I came to this firmament, I never went to other towns or cities. So, basically, there is no chance for the enemies to pop out of thin air.'

'Also, he said the bounty is  very high that the Silverstone's assassin guild's master has personally sent these two assassins.'

Many thoughts flashed through Lucas' head as he searched for those who wanted to harm him.

'Wait a second. What if someone from my previous firmament is trying to assassinate me?'

When this thought came to his head, Lucas thought of a single family that wanted him dead.

'It is definitely the Lion Talon family.'

Within no time, Lucas thought about the rival family of his Hellmore family in the Crystalville firmament.

'What was his name again? Nathan?'

In the next second, he remembered the name of the young master from the Lion talon family who lost his eyes in Lucas' hands.

'They have a motive and are rich enough to put a high-level bounty on me.'

According to what he knew about the Lion talon family, they were just like the Grayeye family in the Silverstone town; however, they were much more arrogant, proud and would do anything to get what they wanted.

'In front of them, the Grayeye family is much better than the Lion talon family. Lion talon family, you can keep as many bounties as possible on me, one day, I will return to the Crystalville firmament and that will be the last day for your family.'

Lucas never took those who wanted to kill lightly.

Moreover, the Lion talon family destroyed his entire family, kicked him and his little brother out of Crystalville firmament and now, they even want to kill them?

So, Lucas swore to destroy that family which would be the least thing he could do for the predecessor of the body.

'Swoosh'

Soon, Lucas and Beck reached the manor.

In the Raindrop manor,

'Swoosh'

As soon as Lucas entered the manor, a white silhouette dashed into Lucas' embrace.

"Azrael, you are much quicker than many rank 2 spirit  beasts just with the strength of a rank 1 spirit beast."

Lightly patting the spirit beast cub in his embrace, Lucas muttered in a low but audible voice.

The spirit beast cub was none other than the winged white tiger, his first contracted spirit beast.

"Here is your food. Go and eat with your mother."

Soon, Lucas took out a rank 3 spirit beast's corpse that he saved for the white tigers and gave it to the mother white tiger as he asked Azrael to eat it.

'Grr'

With a growl, the cub jumped off his embrace and left with his mother.

Even though it was a legendary spirit beast, the mother white tiger did something with her child that hid the small wings from everyone's eyes. 

So, if anyone saw Azrael now, they would not guess it was a legendary spirit beast. So, Lucas didn't bother to take extra measures to protect him.

Nevertheless, there is a guardian spirit beast protecting the Hellmore family now, making Lucas do whatever he wanted to do.
