The giant asura was still swinging its weapons at the large roots that were coming at it, but it also was paying attention to Alidus.

Two of its heads and four of its arms were focused on cutting down the large roots while the last head and remaining two arms were focused on Alidus.

The head was following Alidus as he ran around, while the two arms remained idle. But the two arms had their weapons raised and seemed like they were ready to attack at any moment.

Alidus naturally saw this as well, but he continued running around the giant asura as if he was looking for an opportunity to strike.

In the end, it was the giant asura that broke the stalemate by suddenly throwing the two weapons that it had in its hands out at Alidus. It was as if it didn't care about those weapons at all with the way that it threw them.

That was because there were more corruption energy weapons that suddenly formed in its hands after it threw these two out.

It didn't seem like the giant asura was about to run out of corruption energy, so it didn't seem like it was going to run out of weapons.

The only strange thing was that the weapons that it threw didn't come anywhere near Alidus. The weapons that it threw went to where Alidus had been previously.

It wasn't even aimed at the path that Alidus might take, it was directly thrown right where Alidus had been previously.

With the way that the giant asura threw this, it was almost as if it didn't have any thoughts of attacking Alidus. It was almost as if the giant asura was just venting its frustrations with how it threw its weapons.

Alidus didn't seem to notice anything wrong with this until...

"Change your route!" I shouted out for Alidus.

He was surprised to hear this, but then he realized what I meant by this.

The giant asura wasn't a fool.

Even though it did something that seemed like what a fool would do, the giant asura actually knew exactly what it was doing.

The giant asura had already noticed that Alidus was running in a set path around it, which meant that Alidus was going around in a circle. That meant that even if he was no longer there, he would still return to the place where the giant asura threw the weapons since he was following a path.

The moment that the weapons stabbed into the ground, there was a strange corruption energy that filled the ground.

This strange corruption energy quickly spread in the area and seemed to corrupt the land that it was on. But when one looked closely at this patch of corrupted land, they would see that there was something strange about the corruption energy.

It was that the corruption energy was still moving as if it was still alive.

It seemed like it was still capable of doing something with the way that it moved.

So the giant asura was actually setting a trap for Alidus.

Alidus quickly stopped himself and jumped backwards before following a new path around the giant asura. This new path made sure to avoid the corruption energy that had been left behind by the giant asura.

The one head of the giant asura frowned seeing this before turning to look at me.

But when it did, I suddenly raised the Staff of Earth.

I had been watching the giant asura the entire time just like it had been watching Alidus.

So when it let its guard down for this split second, I made my move.

There were hands that came out of the ground under the feet of the giant asura.

It wasn't able to react to these hands that came out of the ground in time and when they grabbed it, smoke started coming from the giant asura's feet. It was the same thing that was happening with the corruption energy weapons hitting the roots.

It was the scene of the giant asura being purified.

The giant asura immediately swung the two remaining hands down at these hands that seemed to be made of earth, but they couldn't cut through these hands completely.

They were able to shatter the earth layer outside, but there were actual flesh hands inside of the earth covering that stopped the weapons. Once these weapons were stopped, the earth layer around it started purifying the weapons until they were brittle enough to snap with one twist.

The giant asura was shocked to see this happen and it devoted two more of its hands to deal with the hands that were grabbing at it from below.

But even then, it wasn't able to deal with all of these hands.

The more that it tried to deal with them, the more that it seemed that these hands were taking advantage of it.

The most important advantage that these hands had was that they weren't corrupted by the corruption energy.

The flesh inside of the earth layer was immune to the corruption of the corruption energy

weapons.

The giant asura had never seen this before.

As for how the hands inside of the earth layer did it, it was because they were undead flesh that had a similar energy in the first place.

These hands were the hands from the golems that I controlled.

Along with the earth layer that surrounded it, they created the perfect way to restrain and attack the giant asura.

It was only because I controlled both these powers that I was able to do something like this.

Or else the divine energy earth would have purified the golem as well.

It was only because I created a layer of separation between them that this didn't happen.

While the giant asura was distracted by this, Alidus made his move.

He saw his opportunity, so he charged forward with his club raised.
