Chapter 171: Evil Must Be Purged! Part 1

Chapter 171: Evil Must Be Purged! Part 1

Do you know about Karma? The idea that good deeds shall be rewarded and evil deeds shall be met with punishment. It’s a simple yet effective concept, one that prevents people all around the world from acting on their basic instincts and using reason as their guide in life.

Of course there are some organizations such as Mafia or the Army where that concept do not apply, but in Galaxia Heroes: Chaos, this concept is nicely represented by the clashes between Heroes and Villains.

Depending on the Players choices there may be clashes between two Heroes or two Villains, but in the end God is always watching us from way above, ready to smite you down with divine retribution for any misconduct you may be doing. Best to be mindful of that.

That’s the gist of it…… Although when it comes to punishment, its severity can wary as well.

「Justice Meteor runs her through! There is nothing that Player No Name can do about it!」

「Once you get caught in a full combo like that, it is hard to get out of it or to retaliate properly.」

The live commentary was really focusing against Pencilgton right about now, but I could understand why it would be like that. It would be extremely hard to focus on commenting on all that violence that Pencilgton would usually commit.

Judging by the mixed reaction to that show earlier, I wonder if I should do the same thing once my turn comes around…… Or rather, if I do that, it shall be forever recorded as video data…… There are instances where you really wish the civilization wouldn’t get so far entertainment-wise.

Well, let’s say that from a personal point of view, let’s say that when the game is over and Alex is beaten by Pencilgton, he would look as if he was about ready to drop dead because of the embarrassment. And it would be so much worse than normally, because not only they were doing some real shenanigans out there, but now the whole world was able to see it.

「Well, be that as it may, it’s going to be a wonderful thing.」

Full combo this, full combo that, no matter where you look, it’s nothing but a full combo. It was slightly annoying, but that’s reality for you.

Explosive flowers were blooming all over the city, but it was all too little too late right about now.

The walls, the roads, the cars, the pillars…… There were so many elements on the map right about now that were being hit by blue meteors that they were having trouble catching up.

And even for Pencilgton, it was not an easy task to avoid projectiles like that as if they were nothing.

So instead, she was doing something else. She could predict the trajectory of the meteors from the point where they entered the orbit, and instead of avoiding the main meteors, she was dodging the explosions they were creating.

If I knew the places where the explosives were about to occur and tried it a couple of times myself, I might have been able to do the same trick myself, but overall this is something that is really difficult to pull off, and something only a person like Pencilgton would be able to pull off. It’s not even the realm of RNG anymore, it’s really a difference in skill. In some FPS that we happened to play together, Pencilgton would be able to kill about twenty five NPCs with one explosive, without having to fire a single bullet.

However, if there was someone that would be able to break through Pencilgton’s net of explosives…… that person would be Silvia Goldberg and her Meetias, who managed to reach Clock Fire and smash her with a combo so flawless that it was simply unrealistic.

「Splendid job.」

「Yeah, it certainly looks amazing, doing combos like that and all, but shouldn’t she start doing something already? Look, at this rate she’s about to lose!」

「Hm? Ahh, no, that’s not it, not it at all. Suddenly turning things around is her forte, believe it or not.」

Pencilgton, or rather Pencil Warrior, is that type of gamer that secretly takes a whole bunch of preventive measures. But that’s not what’s the most amazing about her.

The small lizard doll in a frilled dress starts to explode. However, the blast was never able to reach its target, since it was kicked aside right before it was about to detonate.

「I know this is supposed to be a catfight, but isn’t that overdoing it way too much……?」

Even if this is a battle between felines, it’s hard to believe that it is equal in the slightest. It was like watching Munchkin Pencilgton going against the Lion Silvia. So there was no way for Pencilgton to pull this one off.

The difference in their skills were far too great. Not to mention their mobility, which was also making it impossible for Pencilgton to stall for any time.

(I mean sure, Meetias is a character based on speed an maneuverability, but this is just obnoxious.)

Additionally, Silvia knew perfectly what she was doing, and was playing in such a way that you could never guess what she would do next.

She tried to detonate the last bomb she had prepared in hopes of blowing up the building and gaining some of the Villain gauge, but thanks to the Hero’s efforts there were no NPCs left in this area already, so the amount she managed to gain was not as much as she wanted to gain.

(No, really, there’s no way for me to win this. This is like fightning Sanraku when he’s serious, or maybe even crazier……)

This is the number one in the United States, Silvia Goldberg. In Pencilgton’s mind, the way in Silvia was moving and attacking was similar to ultra-fast attacks and actions performed by the Gravekeeper Wezaemon. However, since Silvia would not hurt herself or leave any openings or create a pattern to exploit, there was no way for her to counter her.

So she spotted the long and thing metal pipe amongst the rubble and took it in her hands, preparing for her last stand.

(So in the end I have no choice but to entrust matters to him, huh……?)

That is why, there were still three tasks Pencilgton needed to do.

Just like Natsume-san did, prolong her defeat and gain as much time as possible.

Cause as much carnage and destruction as a sort of vent for all of her pent-up frustration.

And finally, scout as much about Silvia Goldberg as possible, which would be used to estimate her true power and potential.

(If I can achieve all of those things, then……!!)

「SPECIAL SUSHI ------!!! GUAAAH!!!」

「…… Why is she mentioning sushi all of a sudden?」

Just before she was about to be hit by Meetias’s ultimate ability “Meteor Strike”, clock fire was engulfed in enormous blast of her own explosion.

Strangely enough she seemed happy with that result. Which was even stranger, since she thought she would be frustrated beyond belief. Maybe it’s because she’s not a Pro Gamer, so instead of winning or losing, she was more concerned with the notion of the audience having fun watching her actions? But even if that was it, No Name’s last actions really seemed to be incomprehensible.

However, why would she choose “Sushi” to be her last words, her death cry? Probably she herself wasn’t able to understand that all that well.

One of them wants to eat sushi. One of them wants to go eat yakiniku. One of them wants to eat pasta. And since they wouldn’t be the ones to pay for it, they were ready to do about anything that would let them achieve their respective goals.

Even though Clock Fire dies in a spectacular explosion, since it was only a game Pencilgton emerges from the Full Dive state and rises up, looking tired as hell.

「Hoo boy, she’s strong. Ridiculously strong. Like a genuine monster.」

「Give us an example, so that we may understand better.」

「Think of her as of Wezaemon but with AGI cranked up to nineteen.」

「Is that a monster from some other game?」

I know it wouldn’t be easy, but for her to be this bad? This doesn’t bode too well for us.

「Sounds really bad. Anything more to say?」

「Honestly, that…… that was pretty insane, what she was doing with her gauge.」

「I see. Hmm, then I’ll try to gain us as much time as possible, so you can relax now.」

Just as Sasahara was starting to head over towards us with her blasted microphone and cameras following her, Pencilgton straightened herself up and once again she was emitting an aura of confidence and dignity only a world class supermodel could muster. Just how much training you need to undergo to be able to be like that on demand?

However, even though she lost I can say it for certain, Pencilgton’s skills have gone up quite considerably compared to last year.
