Chapter 88: Busy day come to an end

Chapter 88: Busy day come to an end

Somewhere in the distant northern lands.

White clouds covered the sky and blocked the sun, cold bone-chilling winds blew and the entire land was covered in shining white snow. There was a mountain whose peak was so high it couldn't be seen, penetrating the clouds.

A girl wore a thick brown fur coat that covered her entire body and face and was slowly walking towards the base of the mountain while she left footprints that disappeared within seconds as if they never existed.

Finally, after reaching the mountain, she stopped and took out a map.

She took a look at the ice-covered mountain before her and took a deep breath.

"Finally I am here. The Devil Peak."

She continued to move forward and saw a cave on the mountain.Inside the cave, she saw a world covered in blue ice crystals, giving out a gentle blue light, and went deeper inside the cave until she saw a blue crystal sword trapped inside the ice.

"You have come, my child. I have been waiting for you all these years."

A gentle voice echoed throughout the cave. The girl became tense and looked around. "Who?"

"You don't have to be so alarmed, young one. After all, you are the last of my clan," replied the voice.

"Last of the clan?" asked the girl as her eyes glowed with a blue light.

"Are you from the Ice Devil clan?" she asked again as her voice echoed.

"Oh! So my descendant still remembers her roots."

Surprise could be heard from the voice.

"Yes, I am the first ancestor of the Ice devil clan, Anafastina. To be more precise, I am the will of the first ancestor. Before I died, I refined a part of my soul into the sword and became the sword soul of the Absolute Zero sword."

Listening, the girl looked at the sword trapped inside the ice and bowed down.

"Diana greets honorable ancestor."

"So, how did you find this place?" asked Anafastina.

Diana started to explain how she found it, about the faith well and her heavenly tribulations.

"Hmmm... to cross heavenly tribulations." Anafastina became silent for a moment and continued, "Feel free to face your tribulations here. Most likely, it is a fire type tribulation and this place is full of ice essence, so it will greatly increase your chances of survival."

Hearing that, Diana was delighted. "Thank you, ancestor."

Then she sat down and closed her eyes.

Aftershe closed her eyes, a blue glow came out of the sword and became the illusory image of a woman wearing a white robe with a small blue diamond crystal on her forehead. Anafastine looked at Diana sitting on the icy crystal floor with gentle eyes and then looked at the entrance of the cave.

_____________________________Meanwhile, in Oliver's house, Kai and Alina were still waiting for Oliver, and Kai was feeling hungry.

"It's already 2 pm, he still hasn't returned." Grumbling sounds came out of Kai's stomach as he looked at the clock.

Every minute felt like an hour.

AsKai and Alina heard the sound of footsteps, they turned around and found Oliver.

"Sorry, it took me more time than I thought, but here you go." Oliver handed a paper and silver badge to Alina, as well as a key.

"Your information has been entered in the teacher register and this is the key for Kai's room, which you will share with his roommate. The room will be expanded by this evening. This paper is the contract copy and the badge is your proof of identity as a teacher of basic magic classes."Alina nodded while more sounds came from Kai's stomach.

Hearingthem, Oliver looked at Kai. "It seems you are hungry."

Kai became embarrassed.

"Don't worry, I understand. Let's go to the dining room, I have already brought food with me for you guys."

Listening to Oliver, Kai was delighted and followed Oliver to the dining room, where he took out three food trays that were well organized. It was just ordinary rice, boiled vegetables, eggs, soup and salad.

Afterdrinking the magical tea, he thought that Oliver was going to eat food made with magic crops, but he didn't.

Alina had a disappointed expression, but it didn't matter to him as magic crops didn't have any benefits for Kai.

He was feeling really hungry and quickly sat on the sofa.

Oliver and Alina also sat down and together they prayed for the well being of farmers and cooks and started eating.

Munmmmm Mummm

Kai was eating food as if he was hungry for years.

It was more like he was devouring the food instead of eating and didn't even take 10 minutes to finish his food.

He rubbed his belly with his hands. His table manners were nowhere to be seen.

Meanwhile, Aline was eating elegantly, completely showing her upbringing as a lady, and Oliver was cleaning his mouth with a handkerchief.

Oliver stood up and put the trays together and took them back inside his spatial ring. Then, he washed his hands in the water basin, dried them with a towel and told Kai and Alina, "Alina, go get some rest."

"Ah! Can't we leave now?"Oliver shook his head and pointed at Kai.

"Kai, you are going to have a duel with me. I would like to see how strong you are and how I can guide you to improve yourself."

Hearing that, Kai looked at Oliver and his old body and thin hands.

Seeing the hesitation in Kai's eyes when looking at him as if saying,

"Can you really handle it, old man? You are already too old for this kind of stuff."

Olive smiled in return. "I may be old, but I can beat a thousand of you with just one hand. We are going to duel and only use our battle techniques. Let me how strong are your basics and I shall give you advice to improve yourself before the month of October and the Heavenly God trial."Kai felt troubled. "Headmaster... You see... I don't know anything about battle techniques."

"Ah? What did you say?" asked Oliver thinking he must have heard something wrong.

"I have not practiced any battle techniques," replied Kai embarrassed.

Oliverhad a dull expression on his face as he looked at Kai. "A peak Magic Warrior Battle Archmage that doesn't know any battle techniques? Is this for real or am I dreaming?" Suddenly, he remembered that it had only been 3 months since Kai became a Battle Archamage and calmed himself down.

"Did you not learn any battle techniques or arts from Yami? Not even the basic ones?"

Kai shook his head.

"So what have you been doing all these three months then?!" shouted Oliver in anger.

Alina's body trembled from Oliver's sudden shout.

The sudden outburst of anger was too shocking for her.

FacingOliver's question, Kai only had an awkward smile on his face.

Seeingthis, Oliver sighed and calmed himself and looked at Kai.

"Brother, forgive me. It looks like your family bloodline has no hope of survival."

He took out a book from his spatial ring and passed it onto Kai.

"It's a book about Battle Mage basic techniques I made. Right now, you can only master this technique. If you are able to master it, you can go to the library and look for any battle techniques you'd like. Go through it and practice in the courtyard. If you are facing any problems, ask me."

Kai nodded and started reading the book. The contents of the book were divided into body posture, body movements, fist and leg movements, and footwork.Kai one by one went through the theory and asked Oliver to demonstrate them so that he could see it in practice.Oliver didn't refuse and showed Kai the movements. Kai also followed the magic carefully and started remembering them. He stood up and tried to copy Oliver.Whenever he had any doubts, he would ask Oliver without hesitation.Oliver, watching Kai make improvements by the minute, couldn't believe Kai had never practiced battle techniques.

"Is this guy lying or is it for real? No no no, it must be true. His body posture and shabby body movements have improved. His magic flow control is as if he had been doing it for years like magic users in all its sense. Kai is a born genius."

Of course, Oliver didn't know that Kai had been living in the forbidden forest for ten years, where he fought with magic beasts. For survival, he had to develop in various ways. He may have lost his previously strong body, but the battle experience with magic beasts remained.

As a magic user, he had full mastery over his magic flow control, and with the guidance of the technique's creator, Oliver and his fully concentrated mind, Kai faced no problem adapting to the basic battle technique.

After three hours of non-stop practice and guidance, Kai fully mastered the technique. His body had become stiff from the pain and his mental strength was already exhausted as his body collapsed onto the ground fully covered in sweat.

Alina, who was watching him all this time, ran towards him and offered him some water while Oliver smiled and looked at the sunset on the horizon.
