Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 371 Return to Paradise Plains

Xu Feng might not understand the restriction that was imposed on Earthrender, but it was sufficient to say the restriction was currently out of his level to comprehend.

With how reluctant Earthrender was behaving— to the point that it didn't dare to touch the Mini Earthrender any longer, it meant that the restriction was engraved on its body.

"Why are you still here?" Earthrender angrily asked when it still sensed their presence. "Hurry up and leave. I wished to be alone and continue to study more of my illusion."

"Aren't you going to take one last glance at this cutie?" Xu Feng mused. He then lifted the Mini Earthrender up, who promptly extended its tiny arms, seemingly trying to reach Xu Feng's face.

Ignoring his enticement, Earthrender still snuck a glance behind his back after hearing the sweet chirping sounds from Mini Earthrender.

Seeing how lovely and sweet their interactions were, infuriated Earthrender dearly for being unable to do the same.

"Ugh, you are such a nuisance." Earthrender rambled and with a swing of its tail, a powerful wind current was created.

Shortly after, the wind blew Xu Feng off and straight to a portal behind him that Earthrender created.

"Oh come on, you tsundere creature!" Xu Feng shouted loudly before getting kicked out. By the time he reappeared, he was already outside of the Chasm and landed heavily on his back.

Thankfully, it appeared the Earthrender still cared for the well-being of the Mini Earthrender, given there was a transparent barrier coating around it.

'How stingy was the Earthrender?' Xu Feng inwardly cursed the brute method of Earthrender.

Wasn't he just trying to be considerate and show him a cute side of the Mini Earthrender?

Amidst his annoyance though, the Mini Earthrender started to stand on top of his chest, its eyes looking confusingly at him.

Although it shared a bloodline with Earthrender, the contract in effect caused the Mini Earthrender to not feel much sadness upon the separation. That was how powerful a contract was and only an idiot would attempt to breach it.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"Alright, let us return to Paradise Plains." Xu Feng patted the rocky yet smooth head of the Mini Earthrender.

It was only smooth because the Mini Earthrender didn't regard Xu Feng as an enemy. Had it been any other, they would have already been inflicted with damage from the rocky spikes itself.

The Mini Earthrender chirped happily in response. As for whether it truly understood him or not, Xu Feng had no idea.

Either way, Xu Feng pulled a Teleport Scroll and began chanting it. The Mini Earthrender made himself comfortable on the top of his shoulder.

Shortly after, they teleported away, and by the time Xu Feng emerged, he was already inside Paradise Plains.

The streets were crowded and filled with chattering— a far cry from the gloomy and grim atmosphere of the Abyssal Rift.

"Phew, it's good to enjoy a high mana concentration environment." Xu Feng exclaimed, whereas the Mini Earthrender chirped merrily, its eyes gazing around curiously.

"Sir, is that your pet?" While Xu Feng was minding his own business, he was interrupted by a guard.

From the emblem equipped on their chest, one could tell it was the symbol of Paradise Plains. Such an emblem could not be imitated or faked.

"Yes, this is my pet," Xu Feng nodded and responded politely.

"I don't see a registration link between you two." the guard said and continued, "Though there's no link, I can sense the creature is bound to you. Please make your way to the Pet Association and have it registered. That way, the city won't be alarmed by a sudden creature's appearance."

Pet Association was the universal association that prioritized assisting people who managed to tame monsters as pets.

Of course, aside from pets, they also helped manage those who wanted to get a monster as a mount.

However, the two could not be mistaken as the same, given a mount and pet functioned differently. It was rather considered a taboo and frowned upon by many who work for the Pet Association when people constantly mistook it.

"I understand," Xu Feng smiled and glanced at the Mini Earthrender. "I shall head over to the Pet Association and have it registered."

"Good, here's a pass, so that you won't be stopped by another guard." The guard kindly handed him an exemption pass.

"Keep in mind that the pass only remains effective for half an hour. So do make haste." He warned before returning to his patrol duty.

With the exemption pass on hand, Xu Feng had no other choice but to delay his return to the competition. It had been a while since he did any procedure for a pet, so he forgot about the matter.

Given that the registration was a one-and-done, not many could remember the process until reminded by someone.

As Xu Feng turned around and took a detour, his eyes remained on the map, searching for the Pet Association. Thankfully, the location was considered an important place, so there was a big icon for him to click for navigation.

Along the way, the Mini Earthrender kept glancing around the surroundings, admiring the scenery. For a newborn, everything was marvelous to him, and there were times he wanted to hop off Xu Feng's shoulder to wander around.

"No, if you run around and I get caught by a guard again. I'm going to get in trouble." Xu Feng gently held its body and warned sternly.

The Mini Earthrender wailed a bit before chirping in a cute tone once it realized Xu Feng's expression did not change when it attempted to cry.

'This little newborn…' Speechless, Xu Feng didn't expect it to learn to coax people already.

"No means no, and if you refuse to listen then I will not care for you anymore." He put on a strict expression and exclaimed.

Sure enough, the Mini Earthrender stopped and obediently wrapped itself around Xu Feng's shoulder. It might not understand the words much, but based on Xu Feng's expression, it could somehow sense his owner's displeasure.
