Primordial Draconic Incubus With A Gourmet Chef System

Chapter 99 Food Is Meant To Be Enjoyed

Hervy froze and a blush crept up his cheeks due to shame, 'This bastard. I'll definitely get back at him for this.'

Once he had his fun teasing Hervy, Lane pointed at the Transcendence sign above the door and said in his cold voice, "This restaurant can only belong to Chef Lucian. Also, who would dare place their building in the Orchard Family territory? The answer is no one."

After answering his own question, he opened the door and stepped inside, accompanied by the sound of a chime and a mechanical voice in his head.

Hervy frowned as his footsteps halted, 'Senior added a Skill that hides one's appearance to his restaurant?'

He was not the only one as the others, who came behind him were equally as stunned. It was the first time they witnessed such an eccentric addition to a restaurant.

As for Garrett and Fenwick, their eyes were glued to the glutton sitting opposite of Chef Lucian.

Even though they could not see the person's appearance, they could tell they were a female from their obvious curves.

Simultaneously, they glanced at each other and knew that the female was none other than Lily.

"Welcome to Transcendence. Please take a seat and decide on what you'd like to eat. We'll take your orders once we have finished our breakfast." Lucian slightly raised his head, glanced at them, and indifferently said before returning to his Siren's Melody Poached Egg.

Although the portion was small and could easily be eaten in two bites, he would rather savor his meal than stuff his mouth.

Food was meant to be enjoyed.

As for his customers, they could wait.

While Lucian was taking small bites and savoring the dish, the others, who had just entered the restaurant, speechlessly took a seat.

"Chef Lucian is truly Chef Lucian…" Garrett smiled wryly as he watched Lucian eat.

Sometime later, Lucian placed his fork and knife down and stood up from his chair. Since Lily was still eating, he would take their orders.

"What would you like to eat? Will it be the usual?" Lucian asked despite knowing their order. After all, other than Fenwick, the rest of them could only order a serving of Siren's Melody Poached Egg.

Garrett smiled wryly, "We'll have six plates of Siren's Melody Poached Egg."

"Oh?" Lucian raised an eyebrow at Fenwick curiously. Could it be that he was not going to order the Sous Vide Filet Mignon? After yesterday's blunder, he thought he would order it.

Seeing Lucian's expression, Fenwick sighed, "Chef Lucian, I might have quite a bit of Mana Stones saved up from over the years, but I can't just waste them. I have to use them wisely."

He had to think about Clara, who was bedridden back in Thunderfall City. To maintain the Artifact protecting her and the room was not cheap. Each day, the Artifact required one Low-Grade Mana Stone to keep active. Even though it was only a single Low-Grade Mana Stone, the costs added up over time.

Lucian was disappointed since he missed out on the chance to obtain another fifty Low-Grade Mana Stones; however, he remained indifferent outwardly.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"Your food will be out shortly," Lucian said, then turned around and headed toward the kitchen.

However, just as Lucian was about to set foot into the kitchen, Hervy's words made him stop.

"Chef Lucian, your Siren's Melody Poached is absolutely delicious. It's so delicious that my old addiction has been replaced. I can only think about tasting it again. Whenever I'm idle, my thoughts would drift to its flavor.

The way the poached egg bursts in my mouth, coating my mouth in a delicious sweet and spicy flavor; the wonderful refreshing minty aftertaste that lasts for three hours, sixteen minutes, and five seconds.

And even though those three hours, sixteen minutes, and five seconds are very agonizing, constantly reminding me about the Siren's Melody Poached Egg, I've come to enjoy it." Hervy paused and continued once Chef Lucian turned around and looked at him, "That being said, I have one issue with your restaurant."

Lucian raised an eyebrow, "Oh… And what's the issue?"

Lucian was genuinely curious about what this guy, who was always testing his patience had to say this time.

'Will he be the first to be blacklisted?'

Being stared at by Chef Lucian suddenly made Hervy nervous, causing him to avert his gaze. His deep blue ocean eyes held a strong intensity.

"Ahem." Hervy cleared his throat, and then said, "Like I said, your Siren's Melody Poached Egg is delicious. It is a dish my family chef can't even dream of recreating. However, a single poached egg is too small to feed us Mages let alone a non-mage. I suggest Chef Lucian should remove the one serving per customer rule. That way, your customers will be satisfied.

If you do that, I would be willing to buy over a dozen plates of Siren's Melody Poached Egg a day."

When the others in the restaurant heard his words, their eyes lit up in excitement. From their glowing eyes, it was obvious they shared Hervy's sentiment.

They wanted to order the same dish multiple times; however, the rule forbade them.

However, Lucian did not share their sentiment. Without even taking a second to ponder, Lucian responded indifferently, "My restaurant's second rule won't change. If you aren't satisfied with a single poached egg, you are more than welcome to visit another restaurant."

"Or just simply increase your Mage Rank to Mana Vein Tempering Realm. The Sous Vide Filet Mignon is a delicious dish that I'm confident you all will enjoy." The corner of Lucian's mouth curled imperceptibly.

'…' The customers and even Lily, who was currently obtaining free food, were speechless.

…Visit another restaurant? That was an impossibility. If they were still living in the past before they had tasted Chef Lucian's food, then it was possible, but now that they tasted a piece of Heaven, it was impossible.

Their bodies were thoroughly entranced and dominated by Chef Lucian's food.
