Chapter 412: Chapter 412: Threatening Medusa, Bewitching the Two Women
"He's so strong!" John thought, alarmed, as he scrutinized the newcomer.
The man before him was a young man with long golden hair, golden vertical pupils, and a pale, handsome face. An aura of coldness surrounded him.
Serpent King Medusa!
John quickly guessed the identity of the man.
Medusa surveyed John and the others, then coldly asked, "Who are you people, and what business do you have in my Gran City?"
Before John could respond, Bella, standing beside him, hurriedly spoke up. "Father, they killed many of my descendants and are going to kill me too! You must help me take revenge..."
"Shut up!" Medusa coldly snapped, interrupting her.
Bella trembled, stepping back a step, swallowing nervously, and dared not speak further. John furrowed his brows. He could sense that Bella's fear of Medusa was deeply ingrained. Is this another father without feelings for his children?
John was not interested in such matters. With a slight movement, he revealed a pink scale from his hand and said, "Lord Serpent King, this is a request from Lord Forest King. We need your help."
"Oh?" Medusa frowned when he saw the pink scale. With a wave of his hand, the scale flew toward him.
He gently stroked the scale, his expression softening. He spoke in a faint tone, "Not bad. This was once the token I gave to Great Bear. What does that guy want me to do for you?"
John felt a surge of relief in his heart. It seemed this man wasn't one to back out of promises. He quickly said, "We need to enter Dark City. We ask that you help us get inside." "What?" Serpent King exclaimed, his eyes turning cold as he glared at John. "Are you out of your mind? I can never agree to such a request. Come up with something else."
His expression firm, John replied, "This is our only request."
Serpent King waved his hand impatiently. "I won't agree to this. Also, as for you slaughtering my descendants, I won't seek revenge. The favor from Great Bear is already repaid."
With that, he turned and flew toward the city.
So, this guy really does intend to go back on his word!
"Lord Serpent King," John stepped forward, just about to stop him, when a violent gust of wind swept through.
Boom!
With a deafening crash, John was blasted away.
Immediately, the surrounding snake demons moved forward, blocking John and his group. One of them coldly said, "You are not welcome here. Leave at once."
"Godslayer, what should we do?" Cand-Dragon asked, her gaze fixed coldly on the snake demons, her body brimming with anticipation.
John furrowed his brows but didn't take action. He stepped aside and looked at Sword Demon, asking, "If I destroy Serpent King's World-in-Hand, will you be able to deal with him?"
Sword Demon's eyes widened in shock at John's words, a trace of fear flashing across his face. He asked in disbelief, "You can destroy Serpent King's World-in-Hand?"
Then, recalling John's abilities, he began to think it might actually be possible.
He furrowed his brows in thought before shaking his head. "No. Serpent King is a nine-star powerhouse. Even without his World-in-Hand, it's unlikely that the two of us combined would be a match for him."
John let out a helpless sigh. He agreed with Sword Demon's assessment.
Ice Talker spoke up, "Why don't we head to Dark City first? I'm worried about the safety of Nature God and Jean."
John gazed at the oasis before them, then looked out at the endless expanse of yellow sand in the distance, a bitter smile tugging at his lips. "We're not leaving this desert anytime soon."
He had to admit that he was lost in the Endless Desert, and aside from Serpent King's descendants, there was no life here that could help them navigate.
For a moment, everyone fell silent.
Avis asked, puzzled, "Master, didn't you say you could leave this desert before?"
John sighed, a little defeated. "I could manage to find my way before, but now, after three more days in the desert, I'm completely lost."
They all looked around at the boundless sea of sand, uncertain of what to do next.
Whoosh...
Suddenly, the sand beneath their feet began to shift, and everyone jumped in alarm, thinking they were encountering quicksand again.
"No, it's the oasis... the oasis is moving!" Sword Demon exclaimed in surprise.
What Bella had said was true-the oasis in Gran City could indeed move, and it was
teleporting.
"Kid, what should we do?" Sword Demon asked urgently. If the oasis disappeared, they would surely be completely lost in this desert.
John gritted his teeth, his mind made up, and said coldly, "It looks like we'll have to force Serpent King's hand."
They may not be a match for Serpent King, but John didn't believe the man wouldn't care about his precious World-in-Hand.
Whoosh!
A fierce wind howled, and an oppressive pressure filled the air. John immediately activated Heaven and Earth Transformation, transforming into a towering giant.
Buzz!
The sword intent hummed in the air as his United Sword was raised high, rapidly expanding. Then, with a swift motion, it came crashing down.
"Creation and Destruction!" he shouted angrily as his longsword slashed downward. A terrifying sword beam screeched through the air, cutting toward Gran City.
Boom!
The sword beam tore through space, creating massive rifts in the fabric of reality. Horrifying spatial cracks appeared, and endless streams of chaotic energy surged forward, devouring everything in their path. The oasis and Gran City were being ravaged by the destructive forces.
"What is that?!"
"Hurry, report to Lord Serpent King!"
The soldiers on the city walls were thrown into a panic. Faced with such a terrifying attack, they were completely at a loss for what to do.
"Bastard, you're asking for death!" A furious voice rang out, and Medusa appeared once
more. A massive golden snake shadow coiled behind him, and with a sharp intake of breath,
he sucked in the sword beam and the surrounding spatial cracks.
How strong!
John couldn't help but feel a slight chill at the sight.
Medusa surveyed the oasis, now in ruins from the destruction, his expression cold as ice. "Human, did you really think I wouldn't kill you?"
As he spoke, a terrifying aura spread out, locking onto the group with an almost palpable
force.
However, John showed no fear. He took a step forward and said, "Lord Serpent King, I mean no harm. I only wish to ask a favor."
"I told you, I will not agree to this," Medusa replied coldly, his killing intent already stirring
in his heart.
John remained calm and said lightly, "Lord Serpent King, you wouldn't want your World-in- Hand to be destroyed, would you?"
"Hmm? You dare to threaten me?" Medusa's anger flared. A massive snake tail shot out from behind him and struck at John with tremendous force.
Boom!
John spat out blood as his enormous form was sent flying backward. Luckily, in that critical moment, he activated Indestructible Vajra, managing to withstand Medusa's strike, though
barely.
Wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, John locked eyes with Medusa and calmly said, "You might be able to kill me, but before that happens, I'll definitely destroy your
World-in-Hand."
Sword Demon and the others stood by his side, their expressions resolute.
Medusa's eyelid twitched slightly as he suppressed the murderous intent in his heart. "Are
you willing to gamble?"
"Hmph!" John scoffed, and three figures flew out from him.
"Clones?" Medusa was taken aback, but then he shook his head. He could sense the presence
of souls from the three figures.
These weren't clones. They were real lives.
One Breath, Three Purities.
It had been a long time since John had used this ability, not since he killed that Creator God.
Four figures now charged at Medusa-the gods' clone and the human clone from Skyline Continent attacked him directly.
Meanwhile, John's main body and the Beast Clan clone simultaneously unleashed their divine skill, Creation and Destruction, recklessly tearing at Medusa's World-in-Hand.
Boom! Boom!
The sound of violent explosions echoed as his gods' clone and Skyline Continent human clone were continuously struck down. However, the Undying and Immortal talent soon triggered, and they resurrected right there on the spot.
His abilities were just as effective in this world, and they were even stronger here.
In the Realm of Chaos, many powerful beings had tremendous spiritual power, but few could
wield soul attacks.
John's Lifesaver and Undying and Immortal talents worked perfectly in this world-almost as
if he were truly undying and immortal.
As soon as the two clones were killed, they immediately resurrected and resumed attacking
Medusa.
With this, John alone managed to easily tie up Serpent King.
"This guy is definitely hiding more power!" Sword Demon thought to himself, secretly
amazed.
He had always been confident in his own strength, but now, seeing the ever-changing methods John had at his disposal, a feeling of doubt began to seep into his heart.
He realized that in a life-or-death battle, he might not be a match for John. "Bastard, stop right now!" Medusa roared, his patience wearing thin as John's numerous
clones kept tormenting him.
John spoke calmly, "Agree to my request."
"Dream on!" Medusa's heart burned with fury. In an instant, his form shifted, and he
transformed into his true body-a massive golden serpent.
Whoosh!
His enormous form surged forward, quickly enveloping John and the others, trapping them.
"Seal them in place!" Medusa's tail and head connected, forming a golden ring that rapidly
contracted, locking John and his three clones inside.
"Spatial... The power of laws!" John's expression changed as he attempted to break free, but
he found himself unable to shatter the binding force.
Not even his Creation and Destruction divine skill could destroy it. "What is this strange ability?" he thought, a sense of dread growing in his chest. Meanwhile, Medusa returned to his human form. Surveying the ravaged landscape, his eyes
nearly bulged with rage. He struggled to suppress his fury, and his gaze shifted to the two
women standing beside John.
The women flinched, instinctively taking a step back.
Whoosh!
In an instant, Medusa was standing before them. His golden vertical pupils gleamed as he
spoke in a voice filled with allure: "Look into my eyes, and you will see the truest world. Be
careful not to get lost in it."
"Watch out!" Sword Demon's voice rang out in warning. He sensed something was wrong and tried to intervene, but Medusa casually swatted him away, sending him flying.
Ice Talker and Tracy noticed something was off just as they were about to resist, but as soon as their gazes met Medusa's golden vertical pupils, their minds were immediately ensnared. "Medusa, if you lay a hand on them, I will tear you apart piece by piece!" John was straining with all his might, trying to break the golden seal, but nothing he did seemed to work. Medusa ignored him entirely. His eyes continued to glow with golden light, and his voice remained calm. "Tell me, what is your purpose in going to Dark City?"n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"Save someone." The two women spoke in a dazed voice, almost as if they were saying it in
unison.
Medusa furrowed his brow, pressing further. "Save whom? What other purpose do you have? Do you have any schemes against me?"
"Nature God, Ice Talker. We're just saving people. We don't have any plans against you. We
don't even care about you." The women's voices were emotionless. Medusa's eyelids twitched, and he shot a cold glance at John. He knew that under the influence of his allure, the women were speaking nothing but the truth.
