One Piece: Reborn as Enel

Chapter 275: Monsters, Gods and Crushing Entrance

Chapter 275: Monsters, Gods and Crushing Entrance

_________ POV Narration _________

The gigantic hand that covered the gaze of the Elders, as well as everyone in the Holy Land, seemed to struggle for a few seconds against the red light.

But what little resistance IMU's halfhearted barrier could put up was instantly crushed by the overwhelming strength and imagination of the Sun God.

The barrier bent out of shape, before losing its structure completely and popping like a balloon, all accompanied by a booming, high-pitched laughter.

"Shishishi~!" The faint laughter from earlier sounded a lot more like the growl of a beast to Kong now. The laughter was coming from far away, above the clouds that had gathered.

But his, as well as everyone else's vision was completely blocked off by the gigantic hand still aiming to crush them into the dirt till they became compost.

In an instant, 5 distinct malevolent auras spread out throughout the Holy Land, as the Elders all sprung into action.

Each and every one of them took the form of a frightening demonic beast.

Saint Noda/Saturn's body expanded at great speeds, growing legs and turning black as he took the form of a gigantic, horned half-human half-spider monster.

Saint Keichii, nicknamed Mars, took to the skies in an instant, turning into a bird, flames coming out of his long eyes and coattails as his long feathers and sharp teeth rushed to dodge to intercept the incoming attack.

Saint Masato/Warcury also increased in size exponentially, turning into what seemed to closely resemble a gigantic war hog, showcasing two sets of large horns at both sides of his overgrown mouth.

Saint Kenichii/Nusjuro's body seemed to transform into something akin to an undead centaur, his long blade shining with power as he took a hybrid form.

And lastly, Saint Masutani nicknamed Peter. The youngest among them but by no means the weakest.

He took the form of a gigantic, wart-filled worm, as his body quickly expanded outside the confines of the holy land.

His mouth had a set of unnervingly human teeth as he also turned to glare at the sky with his large eyes.

But none of the elders, even with their impressive strengths, managed to react in time to reach the hand first.

No, the one to intercept it seemed to be the sea itself.

A gigantic tendril formed from the sea slapped the hand away, shocking most of the people present.

The speed at which the mater moved made it sound like a whip, breaking the sound barrier easily as it created a shockwave large enough to topple over plenty of buildings within the Holy Land.

Marine soldiers and grunts underneath were also pushed away like ragdolls, scattering in all directions as they flew and crashed into either trees or reinforced walls.

The gigantic hand was batted away before it seemed to disappear out of view, shrinking and being pulled back by its owner.

"You will not act as you want in my territory..." A deep voice sounded throughout the battlefield, no one other than the elders recognised it on the World Government's side.

But it was rather obvious who it belonged to... The voice of their leader. IMU, a being that was born from the sea, moulded by it, and thrived within it.

The ancient weapon that IMU had merged with only served to further strengthen him, to the point where he surpassed any of the other individual gods.

"Heh... Don't get too jumpy." Another, deeper voice boomed in the sky, accompanied by the deafening sound of thunder.

Lightning immediately thundered down onto the holy land and the seas surrounding it. IMU was going to raise more water, but he found that the seas around him were resisting his pull.

Inside his throne room, IMU couldn't help but rise from his chair. Cables disconnected from his body and came out of his long dress.

As he stepped into the light of day, walking out of the ruins of his throne room, his figure was finally revealed to the world.

Enel couldn't help but raise an eyebrow when seeing him... her? It was genuinely hard to tell.

'I guess IMU's entire being is more fluid than anything, not really human, so gender is unimportant at this stage.'

IMU's figure was indeed fluid, more than one could imagine. It changed shapes constantly.

One second it looked like the most handsome man, the next like the most beautiful woman, and the next like the most incomprehensibly frightening mythical beast, made out of fleshy red tentacles and eyes.

"Tch... Just as annoying as his predecessor..." The sound of IMU's voice now seemed to change by the second, but it still kept an overall masculine undertone.

IMU's eyes were both directed towards the skies, where his two archnemesis floated leisurely.

The clouds cleared for a second, giving even the others below a good look at the two.

One of them was a funny-looking young man, with white hair that flowed like flames out of his head, he was dressed in a white vest, with white pants, a pair of sandals and a straw hat tied to his neck.

His face was not quite visible from the ground. But his entire being seemed to move around as if boneless, and the marines immediately recognised him...

'Former newbie of the Worst Generation... Monkey D. Luffy!'

But it was clear that he was no newbie anymore, as many realized that it was his fist which almost crushed their entire island in one fell swoop.

And the figure beside him was somehow even more frightening both due to his reputation and being the one to jumpstart such a war.

A tall blonde-haired man, his torso naked to the world, his heavily muscled frame was not the most concerning part, but the strange drums that circled on his back were threatening.

His power was already well-known throughout the world, his devil fruit mastery as well as his proficiency over haki made him unmatched.

'The Lightning Emperor... Or rather, Sky King Enel.'

The two men turned gods stood above the rest both in strength and physically, as they hovered far into the skies above the world government's army.

Kong couldn't help but feel cold sweat trickling down his furry back as his gaze stayed fixated on the skies.

'Just looking at them is enough to give me palpitations... My age must be finally catching up to me...'

Many of the soldiers couldn't help but feel that they did not belong on that battlefield, much like Kong.

How else could they feel? In front of them, monsters and gods were clashing against one another with enough force to kill them with just the shockwaves.

The reveal of the two gods was still fresh on the minds of the people below when the next clash happened. But this time it was not from the gods...

No the islands that had been far into the distance had managed to close in on them, almost in the blink of an eye.

Fleet Admiral Aramaki's eyes widened as he gazed at the islands, in the very next second he ordered the remaining cannons to shoot the islands out of the sky.

But before he could, a gigantic pressure swept over and completely forced everyone that was on the wall to fall to their knees.

A wave of mixed dark colours and lightning painted the sky, and time itself seemed to be ground to a halt.

Aramaki was the only one barely able to force his head forward, only to see one of the most frightening line-ups in history.

Describing it as an army of legends would've been putting it very mildly.

Standing right there, on a large mountain in the middle of an island that had planted itself right in front of their Holy Land was a lineup of Enel's strongest.

Whitebeard, Red-Haired Shanks, Dracule Mihawk, Dark King Rayleigh, The Revolutionary Dragon, Big Mom, Francisco D. Guzman... Just a few of the people currently unleashing their combined conqueror's haki to physically crush the walls of the Holy Land that they had spent so long to build and fortify.

Aramaki's arbours and wooden pillars were the only reason the walls were still standing, and even they were almost giving out.

The pressure was so great that it didn't only knock out the agents adorning the walls, but killed them completely, forcing their hearts to stop.

The current Fleet Admiral also felt his heart skip a beat, but it seemed to completely stop as his eyes scanned the other side of the mountain, on a different peak.

His world shattered in an instant as his eyes landed upon a group of people that he had thought long dead.

"F-Fleet Admiral Sakazuki... Everyone..." With a strained voice, he trembled out some words as he eyed the marines standing on that peak.

At the very front of them was none other than a young version of Garp the Fist, a former marine hero and Sengoku, the Golden Buddha.

By Sengoku's side stood none other than Former Fleet Admiral Akainu, his gaze burning holes into the people below.

The other former admirals stood by his side. Aokiji, Kizaru, Fujitora, Zephyr...

All legendary marines, formerly presumed dead, were now staring at them. People that any marine used to respect and adore were now facing off against the World Government.

"W-what is happening..." Was the last thought that Aramaki could muster before he fell back, unconscious.
