Chapter 91: Boss
"I originally asked for her help, but with your help as the main fighter besides me, it was enough. After all, I realize you're stronger than her. I happened to have something else that needed someone's help, so I asked Jenny to do it." Princess Charlotte explained.
Aldric rolled his eyes at that.
"Alright, eat first," she added.
Aldric started eating the meat on the table. At first glance, they appeared to be simply grilled without seasoning.
However, after chewing on one piece of meat, he tasted a wide variety of seasonings from the meat.
The most remarkable thing was that there was a sensation as if the energy in his body became more ferocious.
It seemed to be enhanced even though he knew it wouldn't take long.
"The monster we are targeting is in the volcanic mountains behind this city. If you came from White Wind City, you must have passed them." Princess Charlotte spoke again as she began to eat.
Fortunately, she wasn't talking about a rather strange topic.
She was talking about the monster.
"What makes that monster so hard to defeat? Is its level very high?" asked Aldric.
"No, it's only at Level 13, yet it has Monster Boss status. Not only is it very strong, its defense is also outstanding. It's one of the highest types of monsters, so it's certainly not easy to kill it."
"Ohhh..."
Aldric had already heard of monster bosses.
At least at this time, the Monster Bosses represented the peak of all types of monsters.
It was said they could grow very quickly from birth.
They could also command other monsters, even of different types.
Most importantly, their Monster Cores are unique, having many advantages compared to ordinary Monster Cores.
The human side tends to hunt them down immediately if they are found because they can wreak havoc.
"There's something in the Monster Boss's lair," Princess Charlotte continued.
"That's what makes me bound to come into conflict with the city lord. Otherwise, we could work together to defeat the monster in order to protect the city. As the strongest NPC in the Eldorn Region, he is very unpredictable. Perhaps his strength seemed to be lower than mine, but because of his background, he definitely had a lot of tricks up his sleeve.
Not to mention the fact that he can command many other NPCs."
"This is indeed difficult," Aldric said as he envisioned the battle.
He continued to eat even while listening to Princess Charlotte speak.
Here, the speed of food was quite high.
Before he knew it, the food on his plate was gone.
The portion wasn't that big, it was probably very expensive even for Princess Charlotte.
She realized this man had already finished his meal when she saw him drinking quickly.
"Do you want more?" She asked.
"No, no, I'm already full." Aldric replied quickly.
Her concern for him only heightened, making him more worried.
Unfortunately, it was a worry he enjoyed unconsciously.
"Your Highness, how about you call the others now so I can get to know them first," he added.
"Very well..." Fortunately, the princess did not refuse although when she spoke, she seemed to not want to rush to summon them.
She then sent a message through the game system.
Aldric breathed a sigh of relief, finally feeling more relaxed.
"They consist of three Senior Magicians and fifteen Peak Junior Magicians." She told him about them.
"Those Junior Magicians have above-average strength and they will help overcome the monsters under the Monster Boss."
Aldric nodded as he listened.
After that, he saw that the princess was wearing her helmet again.
"There are only two of them who knows who I am, the others have no idea." She explained.
Aldric waited while drinking occasionally. At least there was an extra drink provided instead of just one cup.
Moments later, he heard footsteps outside that seemed to stop at the door.
Aldric suspected they were the people the princess had invited.
Soon the door opened, revealing the people outside.
They were made up of six men. Perhaps they were not in the same group, but just happened to arrive at the same time.
Two of the men were Senior Magicians.
When he saw one of the men, Aldric was somewhat surprised.
He was very tall, taller than him and rather chubby, in his 30s with messy blonde curls, having a face that seemed gloomy.
As for why he was somewhat surprised when he saw him was because he knew who he was.
He was a sports coach at her university, someone who was known to be very hot-tempered.
If any student misbehaved, he would be the one to punish them.
His name was Hunter.
He might be a bit chubby, but he was really strong and agile.
Aldric heard that he graduated from the Military Academy but did not continue his career as a soldier despite his good performance.
As far as he knew, this Hunter also worked in the royal palace. It was probably a part-time job where he was called upon occasionally.
No one clearly knew what kind of work he did in the palace, but since he was a frequent visitor to the palace, there was a possibility that he was one of those who knew Snow_Goose's identity.
As for the second Senior Magician, he was a man who was also wearing armor, black in color.
His armor was in the shape of a man's body, so he was definitely a man.
His body was rather small, much shorter than everyone else's but judging from his body shape, this was probably because he was much younger, he could have been 14 or 15 years old.
Aldric knitted his brows when he saw the little man, wondering who he was that he was wearing armor as well.
Was he also a member of the Royal Family.
Thinking about members of the Royal Family, he suddenly thought of Prince Charles, the prince who was only 14 years old.
He was the son of the Queen's niece, one of the Royal Family members allowed to live in the palace.
Only he was 14 years old among all the core members who could live in the palace.
