Love So Sweet

Chapter 114

114 I Remember Now

After having fun around the beach for a while, the group decided to check out and head back to the city. The moment she got into the vehicle, Zhang Li Xue could not help but fall asleep.

She had played too hard and tomorrow, she will still need to go back to the office.

Fortunately, her brother was driving and she could doze off until they arrived back in Y City.

When she woke up again, the car was already entering the city.

Since Fang Su Jin was riding with them, Zhang Yi Hai drove over to Fang’s residence first to send her back.

The vehicle pulled over in front of the Fang’s residence and Zhang Yi Hai helped her with her luggage. When they walked into the house, Fang Su Jin’s parents were around and invited Zhang’s siblings to have some refreshments.

Fang Su Jin dragged her friend upstairs as she wanted to give her a few things.

When they come down again, the two girls found that Zhang Yi Hai was in the living room, chatting with Fang Su Jin’s father.

Zhang Li Xue watched as her brother sat up straight, with his head lowered slightly while listening to Fang Su Jin’s father talking about the world economy and chuckled.

.....

Her brother liked to bully her so much that it was entertaining to see him sitting down obediently.

Finding that this situation was interesting, Zhang Li Xue poked at Fang Su Jin a few times and spoke, “Su Jin, look at Yi Hai. It was rare to see him sitting like that obediently.”

Fang Su Jin heaved a sigh.

She did not know what her father was saying to Zhang Yi Hai, but she could guess that it shouldn’t be anything interesting. Her father liked to speak about the world’s economy a lot. Once he found someone who might show interest in listening to him, her father would not be able to stop.

From the look at it, it seemed that Zhang Yi Hai had become his victim.

“You should go and rescue your brother,” Fang Su Jin said. “Otherwise, my father would not stop.”

Zhang Li Xue watched her brother a while longer before she went over.

Looking at how her brother was behaving, Zhang Li Xue began to wonder how would his brother look like when he was facing his in-laws.

It should be something interesting.

“Dad,” Fang Su Jin spoke as they arrived in the living room. “Li Xue and her brother need to leave now.”

Fang Wu shot a displeasure look at his daughter. He was beginning to get into the good part when this girl suddenly appeared. It was rare for him to find someone who could listen to him. It was even rarer to find someone to exchange opinions with him.

The man in front of him was young, but he was quite knowledgeable.

However, he also realized that he couldn’t keep this young man in the house without reason.

Fang Wu turned to Zhang Li Hai again and sighed. “Do you need to go?” An idea came to his mind and the corner of his lips turned up. “How about staying over for dinner?”

“Dad, they need to head back early and rest,” Fang Su Jin spoke quickly. “Tomorrow, they still need to work.”

Fang Wu was familiar with the Zhang family and had heard how the family raised their child.

Just now, Zhang Yi Hai mentioned that they were on summer vacation. But it seemed that instead of fooling around like the rest of the young men his age, this man had to work at their family’s hotel.

As he recalled this fact, Fang Wu began to appreciate the young man in front of him a little bit more. He could not help but sigh, wondering why none of his the boys in his family were like Zhang’s family’s boys.

Taking this chance, Zhang Yi Hai stood up and spoke, “Uncle Fang, my sister and I will have to leave first.”

Fang Wu nodded. “Alright. Young man, you should come over again when you have the chance.” He turned to his daughter and spoke, “Su Jin, go and see the guest.”

Fang Su Jin felt the corner of her lips start to twitch.

Zhang Yi Hai was only her best friend’s little brother. Why would he want to come over to their house again? Moreover, Zhang Yi Hai was a little strange and scary. She would rather not have him around the house.

His presence would only give her anxiety.

Zhang Li Xue exchanged a few words with Mrs. Fang before heading out.

Mrs. Fang knew that she liked sweet treats and let her bring back a box of cakes that she had baked that morning.

When Zhang Li Xue walked outside with Fang Su Jin, her brother was already behind the wheel, waiting for her.

“Su Jin, I’ll go back first,” Zhang Li Xue spoke.

“Uh-huh.” Fang Su Jin nodded. “Drive safely.”

“You should tell that to my brother.”

Fang Su Jin glanced at the man inside the car before she quickly looked away.

Obviously, she had no plan of talking to this man.

She watched as Zhang Li Xue placed the box of cake in the back seat of the car and saw the basketball cushion. A thought came to her mind, causing her brow to furrow deeply.

Zhang Li Xue closed the door, turned around, and saw her friend seemingly in deep thought. “Su Jin, what are you thinking about?”

Fang Su Jin hesitated. She raised her head to look at Zhang Li Xue and thought that the image in her mind had become clearer.

A light flashed in her eyes. She leaped over in excitement as she held Zhang Li Xue’s shoulders.

“Li Xue, I remember now.”

Zhang Li Xue glanced at the hand on her shoulder and frowned. “What do you remember?”

“That young doctor. Ah! Your uncle’s student!” Fang Su Jin took a deep breath to calm down. “I remember why he seemed familiar.”

“You’ve met him before?”

“Not just me. You’ve met him before as well.”

There was a trace of surprise in Zhang Li Xue’s eyes.

“Li Xue, don’t you remember?” Fang Su Jin spoke. “When we were in kindergarten, you were always practicing basketball with a senior at the gym.”

Her brow furrowed deeper. Zhang Li Xue could not remember this scene well.

“I remember that senior’s name. Back then, you always call him Brother Bai Qi.”
