Chapter 29: It's Not Him

After watching for a while longer and seeing that Zhang Xuan was still hesitating and hadn't opened a single book, Advisor Liao lost interest in monitoring him.

Following the city lord's instructions, he had brought Zhang Xuan here, but whether or not he could learn anything depended on him. If he failed, it was his own fault.
