Chapter 224 Magic And Blades
As the girls fought back against the Monster Waves, Atlas, and Nulia soared over the Northern Wastes, their eyes widening at the sight of even more hordes. He turned to the bear woman, furrowing his brow. ''Why are they all heading east?''
''It's clear they are heading for the fortress where the other girls are fighting,'' she replied, concern evident in her voice.
Atlas nodded with a worried expression but activated the Void Realm because he wanted to fight the Golem King so he could use him in the upcoming battle. His consciousness faded, and the two of them appeared on the plateau.
He was taken aback to see Nulia standing there smiling at him. She said excitedly, ''I touched you so I can join and help.''
''Thank you, Nulia,'' Atlas replied with a grin as the Warrior Golems rushed at them.
The young woman transformed into her Frostbear form and slaughtered the stone monsters. Atlas started flinging spells at the Golem, which brought them crashing to the ground just before he dashed forward.
While sprinting forward, he infused his blades with Void magic, slicing through the Warrior Golems' bodies. Together, they relentlessly cut down everything in their path. The battle raged on for hours, and by the end, both were left panting, exhaustion finally catching up.
Atlas was catching his breath while checking his monster total, and he quickly noticed that the Warrior Golems had stopped appearing.
[Void Golem – 000/1000000]
[Void Warrior Golem – 000/500000]
[Void Golem Commander – 61751/100000]
[Void Golem King – 1/1]
'Only the Golem Commanders left, which is good,' he thought excitedly.
Afterward, the duo pressed on, cutting down wave after wave of stone monsters, slaying hundreds. When they finally returned to the real world, Atlas realized Raymond hadn't ventured far, leaving him puzzled.
She giggled at his confusion and explained, "The Northern Wastes are vast, Alt. It'll take us a couple of days to reach the area where the girls are."
Atlas nodded in understanding before downing one of his last stamina potions, feeling his strength return as the fatigue faded. Refreshed, he entered the Void Realm again, determined to cut down more Golems and reduce their numbers so he could try Level Four.
Nulia joined him again, and the two attacked the Golem Commanders, who were bigger than the Warriors and regular ones. Thanks to his speed, Atlas used magic and blades to take them down.
The Frostbear woman barreled through the horde of stone monsters and used her sharp claws to tear through their bodies. While this was happening, Atlas was killing hundreds of monsters and bringing the total down.
Hours later, Nulia was forced back into the real world when a commander landed a powerful, unexpected punch. Frustrated, Atlas unleashed his Void Barrage, sending a relentless volley of blasts into the horde, tearing through their ranks.
Atlas fought fiercely, but as exhaustion set in, he was forced to retreat from the Void Realm. He was met with the howl of a raging storm when he reappeared in the real world. Wind and snow swirled violently around him, disorienting him for a moment.
Suddenly, Raymond's voice echoed in his mind, 'Master! Hold on tight.'
The Stormeagle dived sharply as a deafening boom erupted. Atlas caught sight of Atek, now in his tiny form, peeking out from inside Nulia's coat just as she lunged toward him. She wrapped her arms tightly around him and spoke in a panicked voice, "Don't let me fall, Alt."
Atlas smiled at her words, wrapping one strong arm around her waist. Leaning in, he whispered into her ear, "I've got you, don't worry."
Shortly after, Raymond let out a screech before dive-bombing some giants traveling toward the fortress. When Atlas saw this, he asked the bird, 'What are you doing?'
'Taking out some of the foul Chaos Monsters, Master,' the Stormeagle replied. 'I hate these with a passion after their kind slaughtered my mate many years ago,'
When Atlas heard this, his eyes narrowed before he started flinging Void Bombs at the Chaos Wave. As the azure projectiles slammed into the monsters, an explosion tore them asunder as the ground shook.
Continue your journey with empire
Raymond released another piercing screech, unleashing a torrent of lightning as he streaked past the creatures below. His attacks rippled through the storm. When the chaos finally settled, and the winds died, Atlas prepared to activate the Void Realm again.
But before he could, Nulia stepped in, grabbing his arm. "A third time?" she exclaimed, her voice laced with worry. "You'll harm yourself! I won't let that happen."
Atlas's eyes narrowed, ''We need the Golem King to have a chance in this fight! I cannot fight all the strong monsters or Chaos Beings Nulia. We need the help.''
Nulia hesitated momentarily, but then her blue eyes ignited with determination. ''We'll do it together!'' she exclaimed, her voice unwavering. ''We're a team, and nothing can stop us.''
Atlas smiled at her spirit before activating the Void Realm. Together, they plunged back into battle, taking on the remaining Void Commander Golems. After a fierce fight filled with intense clashes, they emerged victorious.
After the battle, the ground trembled beneath them, and Atlas and Nulia turned to see the colossal form of the Void Golem King emerging from the shadows. Its massive frame loomed over them, and its glowing blue eyes locked onto them.
Nulia stepped back, swallowing hard as fear crept into her voice. ''We can't fight this monster, Alt! It's too strong,'' she said, her tone betraying her nervousness.
''We just need to make it fall into the water below to defeat it,'' Atlas revealed with a smile. ''There isn't much time before the girls are overrun.''
Without hesitation, Atlas charged forward, his fists crackling with potent Void mana, causing them to shake due to the power. Sensing the threat, the Golem King roared in fury and swung a massive fist toward him, but he was quicker.
'Too slow motherfucker!'
He dodged the building-sized limb, feeling the rush of air as it narrowly missed him. With a surge of determination, Atlas landed on the Golem's arm and sprinted toward its head. The ground shook beneath him as he closed the distance, adrenaline fueling his speed.
Atlas unleashed a fully charged Void Punch, a devastating blast that resonated through the air like thunder. The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the creature, knocking it back and staggering the colossal monster.
That's when Nulia appeared in her human form and started casting ice on the plateau's ground, causing it to turn slippery, which caught the Golem King off guard. Once she did that, the young woman looked at him with bright blue eyes and said, ''Finish it, Atlas!'''
He nodded before sprinting toward the Golem King, who retaliated by hurling massive boulders in his direction. But thanks to Void Step, Atlas dodged each one, weaving through the debris.
When getting close, he channeled the remainder of his mana into his right fist, the energy swirling around him as he prepared for his ultimate attack. With an amused rumble, the Golem King finally spoke, 'Seems like you're in a rush, Voidwalker. Allow me to slow you down.'
Atlas watched as the giant stone monster began casting something; that's when mana crackled around it, causing him to think while gritting his teeth, 'I need to deal with it before that spell is ready.'
Panic surged through him as he started sprinting toward the Golem King. When Atlas got close enough, he used Void step to get into the air, swinging his fist down and unleashing a devastating attack.
''Void Smash!''Nôv(el)B\\jnn
His fist connected with the Golem King in a mana explosion, sending the colossal creature staggering back, teetering on the plateau's edge. Victory felt within reach for a moment, but Atlas's heart sank when the monster didn't fall.
'It weren't enough! Fuck,' he thought while backing off.
But just as the Golem King struggled to regain its balance, a dozen shimmering Ice Lances shot through the air, piercing the icy wind with deadly precision.
The lances struck the Golem's torso, each exploding on impact and driving it further off balance. With a final roar, the Golem King was sent tumbling into the sea below, crashing into the dark depths.
'It's done thanks to Nulia and her ice magic,' Atlas thought with a tired smile.
He could hear the roar of the waves crashing against the stone below, echoing around Atlas, signaling the end of their titanic clash. As they stood victorious, Nulia stumbled over to him, and he instinctively wrapped his arm around her.
''Thank you, Nulia. Without you, I would have lost,'' he said earnestly.
Her eyes sparkled with delight, and she giggled softly. ''I told you we're a team and help each other. Now, let's return to Raymond and rest up for the next fight.''
Following that, the duo returned to the real world, where Raymond was perched on a covered ledge as the wind was causing chaos. When Atlas saw this, he questioned the Stormeagle, asking, 'Everything okay?'
'Yes, Master, just resting as you two nearly fell off a little while ago,' the Monarch Monster replied.
Following that, Raymond took off again, and the two managed to rest for hours until they caught up to the Chaos Wave heading for the fortress. When they got close, explosions rang out, and Atlas quickly noticed the violet glow through the dust.
''They're nearby, Nulia!'' Atlas exclaimed with excitement. ''Get ready to fight everyone!''
Without waiting for a response, he leaped off the Stormeagle's back, adrenaline coursing through his veins as he fell toward a towering Chaos Giant looming in the distance.
