Chapter 120: Chapter 120 - Elite Raid Battle
Chapter 120: - Elite Raid Battle
Maylock's expression darkened with frustration. He hadn't anticipated his prediction to be off - the raid boss wasn't supposed to have leveled up yet. The realization that there might be an error in the meticulously crafted strategies shook his confidence.
"Elincia?!" he called out, turning to face Elincia. Her body was now enveloped in an eerie blue electric energy, and she was floating in the air.
"We're going to keep pushing forward," she declared, her voice cutting through the growing doubts in everyone's minds. "No turning back!"
The tree monster roared menacingly as it unleashed thick, muscular vines in every direction. Its arms whipped through the air with violent force, lashing out at any creature that dared to cross its path. The bark of its trunk groaned and rattled in a fury, shaking the very ground beneath its massive roots. It had transformed into an unstoppable force of nature, attacking anyone who ventured too close without discrimination.
"We will follow the plan and assess the monster before deciding if we continue or not! Everyone, attack!" Elincia commanded as a loud clap of thunder echoed in the sky like a war drum.
The ground trembled with each thunderous burst as the tree monster was assaulted from all sides. Explosions and energy beams of various colors lit up the sky in a chaotic display, each one launched by a different fighter.
Skywarden charged forward, his shield as wide and sturdy as he was. He slammed the shield against the giant monster with a force that reverberated through the earth.
"Everyone stay in position, don't get out of my aura shield!" he ordered.
Livelywood, a young man of fifteen, the same age as Melliandra, was adorned in silver armor accented with gold embellishments. Even his weapon seemed to gleam with a golden hue. He fought and moved gracefully on the battlefield, almost as if he were dancing. His movements were incredibly efficient, and his attacks struck with precise accuracy.
"You sure do like to show off your skills, don't you, you little brat?!" Optimus shouted at Livelywood.
Despite his usually quiet demeanor, Livelywood continued his relentless assault.
As a swordsman, he moved with elegance and agility, somersaulting across the battlefield, executing powerful sword slashes, and kicking with the dexterity of a performer in a grand show. He deserved to be hailed as nothing less than a prodigy swordsman.
Broken kept pounding his enemy with relentless strikes from his sword. He was careful to use only the skills he knew he could rely on in times of need, wary of exhausting his Mana.
"They really are Elite fighters," he muttered under his breath, awestruck by their extraordinary abilities.
He took a swig of a Mana potion, feeling it replenish his energy before continuing the fight. But even with the aid of Mana potions, there was a limit to how much one could depend on them.
Just as he was about to use another Mana potion, his Mana suddenly refilled completely. Stunned, he turned around to find Goldrich standing there with a broad smile on his face.
"Leave your Mana needs to me!" Goldrich shouted from a distance.
What amazed Broken wasn't just that Goldrich had refilled his Mana without a word but that he seemed to know exactly when his Mana ran out. It had become a habit for Goldrich to always be ready with his skill-whenever Broken's Mana reserves were close to empty, Goldrich somehow sensed it and provided assistance.
"He might be a perverted old man, but I'll give it to him-the guy is smart!" Kingsley bellowed as he thumped his giant bear body onto the ground.
"Did he actually read all the skills I used and accurately predict the amount of Mana I need?" Broken asked.
"He did even more than that," replied Kingsley. "He might already know how much Mana is required for each skill you use or even your total Mana capacity."
Elincia hovered in the air, her movements fluid and unhindered. Her magical abilities unleashed devastating attacks on the monstrous vines that ravaged the land below. The vines stood no chance against her furious onslaught; they were as defenseless as marshmallows before an open flame.
"Taste this attack of mine... hahaha!" she exclaimed gleefully, her expression shifting slightly as she reveled in the battle.
Far in the distance, Melliandra seemed to float in the air. She was using her magnetic field ability as footing, allowing her to seemingly stand on an invisible platform beyond the reach of the monstrous vines.
"I'm gonna be the top damage dealer today! I'm gonna beat Elincia!" Melliandra shouted with enthusiasm, her voice ringing out over the sound of her sniper rifle firing and bullets zipping through the air.
Melliandra had the advantage of being far enough away to use her sniper rifle to attack without putting herself in harm's way.
The battlefield was an explosion of chaos. Everywhere Broken looked, there were flashes of light and roars of pain, all competing to be heard.
Even in the face of such danger, he couldn't help but stand in awe of the spectacle before him. This was the grandest battle he had ever seen, and no matter what, he was part of it!
Dozens of plant monsters were scattered throughout the area, rising from the ground like a plague of locusts. However, they soon found themselves overwhelmed as boulders shot from afar, smashing into them with devastating force. As if that wasn't enough, chunks of ice followed close behind, accompanied by a huge inferno that blazed through the area, incinerating everything it touched.
Broken was stunned as he turned and set his eyes on the young woman, Starfall. She possessed a beauty that was incomparable, even in his assessment. The Asian girl wore her long black hair in a simple, straight style, and her mid-twenties frame was adorned with an ethereal aura. Her fame across the lands was well established, and she was a celebrity in her country.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Her arms were raised to the sky, and nine magical arrays surrounded her, bombarding every direction with numerous elements of magic. She could control any basic element-an extraordinary feat that left even him in awe. With her abilities, it was no surprise she had achieved such fame.
The relentless beast was beginning to show signs of wear. It wouldn't be long until they can finally put an end to this chaos.
Suddenly, an agonizing scream echoed through the air like a spine-chilling siren.
"I need help!!!"
Everyone turned toward the source and saw Melliandra ensnared by a thick, monstrous vine that seemed to have come alive from the ground itself. She was supposed to be in a safe position. Was this one of those unpredictable elements that Maylock had missed? Maylock cursed in frustration, "This shouldn't be happening if the monsters are only level 190!"
The monster had leveled up, and Maylock had failed to foresee the impending attack. If they lost Melliandra, the team's hopes of success would be shattered; she was one of their most powerful sources of damage. But she was too far away for anyone to provide backup without
abandoning their own posts.
Everyone was in their designated positions, fulfilling their individual responsibilities in the battle. They wished they could do something, but they couldn't! The whole battle would be ruined if even the slightest disruption occurred in the formation. No one could help Melliandra; they were powerless, immobilized with fear as the enormous vine clasped her
tightly.
"Help me..." Melliandra screamed in agony, her body hanging limply against the vines,
threatening to take her life at any moment.
Was this the end of the raid battle?
