Book 3: Chapter 16: Damn Pervert! Stop Touching!
Breakfast had to have eggs and milk. However, the milk this time was a special milk, carefully prepared by Chen Heng; it tasted something like milk tea.
As for the eggs, he made soft-centered fried eggs. Although others might worry about not completely killing all the bacteria because of the half-solidified yolk, he did not, as he felt confident in his cooking skills—rather, the association’s store. Most importantly, soft-centered fried eggs would taste more delicious and appear more attractive.
Chen Heng added freshly baked bread, a sausage each, a few stalks of spinach, and some sweet chili sauce.
Furthermore, he cut up two dragon fruits and stuck some toothpicks in them before placing them in his spatial storage to preserve their freshness. He would take the fruits out after eating.
With these, he had a sumptuous breakfast with balanced nutrition.
Chen Heng looked at the three sets of breakfast before him. However, he kept feeling like he had forgotten something.
Sirin had come down before Chen Heng finished cooking. She sat on the sofa, hugging her knees to her chest as she looked in the kitchen’s direction while Chen Heng was busy in the kitchen.
Chen Heng looked at the time and saw it was half past seven. However, Jeanne d’Arc Alter had not come down yet, so he decided to go and wake her up.
“Sirin, I’m going to call Jeanne d’Arc Alter down. Wait downstairs for a while.”
“Oh! Got it!” Sirin appeared extremely obedient.
Chen Heng turned around and made his way upstairs, walking to Jeanne d’Arc Alter’s room.
Knock-knock-knock! Knock-knock-knock! “Jeanne d’Arc Alter, are you awake yet?”
“Who is it? Look at the time! How irritating!” Jeanne d’Arc Alter’s impatient voice came from inside.
This scene felt like déjà vu, reminiscent of Sirin’s first breakfast. When Chen Heng woke her up, her answer was strangely similar to Jeanne d’Arc Alter’s.
“It’s me, Chen Heng. Time to wake up. It is half past seven, and breakfast is ready.”
“Go on and eat first. You can just leave my portion there. I’ll eat when I wake up.”
“However, Sirin and I are going to the water park later. Are you not going?”
“Water park? Wait for me! I’ll come immediately.”
For some reason, Jeanne d’Arc Alter felt motivated after hearing “water park.”
Chen Heng did not plan on waiting for Jeanne d’Arc Alter at her door. Instead, he went downstairs upon hearing her answer.
Chen Heng and Sirin chatted on the sofa for a while. Rather, Chen Heng spoke, while Sirin kept her face buried in her knees and only occasionally grunted in acknowledgment. Perhaps she still felt embarrassed over what happened that morning.
In less than two minutes, Jeanne d’Arc Alter came downstairs, wearing what she had worn the previous night. Fafnir followed behind in the air, flapping her wings. Chen Heng wondered how those flapping wings supported Fafnir’s weight and allowed her to fly.
Now, Chen Heng figured out what he had forgotten—Fafnir the dragon.
Actually, Chen Heng could not be blamed. After all, he did not know what dragons ate. Raw meat?
“Elder Sister Jeanne d’Arc Alter, good morning!” Hearing someone come down the stairs, Sirin lifted her small head from her knees and demurely greeted Jeanne d’Arc Alter.
“Oh! Good morning. You must be Sirin, right?” Chen Heng had mentioned Sirin’s name to Jeanne d’Arc Alter the previous day to avoid awkward introductions when they met in the morning.
“Yes. Elder Sister Jeanne d’Arc Alter, what is that behind you?” When Sirin greeted Jeanne d’Arc Alter, she saw Fafnir flapping its wings.
“This is Fafnir, your Elder Sister Jeanne d’Arc Alter’s pet,” Chen Heng explained, assigning Fafnir an identity.
“Who are you calling a pet? Roar!” Before Jeanne d’Arc Alter or Sirin could say anything, Fafnir expressed her dissatisfaction. However, Chen Heng did not feel afraid. When the miniature Fafnir roared, it sounded like a cat’s cry.
“Shut up. Keep talking nonsense, and I’ll cook you in hotpot.” Chen Heng pulled Fafnir forward by the nape with his attraction ability, like she was a cat.
Then Fafnir showed a devastated expression.
For some reason, maybe because the Heavy Ball had shrunk Fafnir, her body felt soft now. Furthermore, her scales had an extraordinary texture that felt nice to the touch.
I feel like sitting on her.
“Let…let me go! You damn pervert! Where are you touching?!” Fafnir sounded like a molested woman, making Chen Heng feel too embarrassed to keep touching her, so he released her.
“Ah Heng, don’t act like a rogue to a female dragon.” Although Jeanne d’Arc Alter said that, she did not take any action.
When Chen Heng let go of Fafnir, she flew behind Jeanne d’Arc Alter. Fafnir was no fool; she knew she could not defeat the great demon Chen Heng and could only rely on Jeanne d’Arc Alter.
“How was it? Ah Heng, was touching Fafnir very nice?”
“Indeed, it was.”
“…” Fafnir never expected her ally to betray her.
“Alright, alright. Let’s eat first.” It was getting late; it was time to eat.
“Huh? Human, why is there none for me?” Fafnir saw only three portions of breakfast when she flew to the table. That meant she did not have any?
“Erm…because I don’t know what dragons eat? Raw meat? Spiritual plants?” Chen Heng had no idea at all.
“What do you mean, raw meat and spiritual plants? I want to eat regular food! I’m getting angry! I really will get angry!”
“Wait, don’t get angry yet. Take this. See if it suits your taste.” Chen Heng took out a vacuum-packed Peking duck. He tore the package open and placed it on an empty plate.
Fafnir flew to the plate and sniffed the Peking duck. Then she nodded. “This? It smells alright. I’ll let you off this time. Remember to cook my portion next time.” The Peking duck apparently suited Fafnir’s tastes.
Very good. I managed to preserve the loyalty value. It even increased by two points to 62.
[Author Note: The loyalty value is on a scale of 0-100. He truly gained Jeanne d’Arc Alter’s loyalty for practically nothing. Ah, wait, no, 80 is just considered friendly at best.]
Loyalty point grading: Disappointed: 0–30 Stranger: 31–60 Friendly: 61–80 Crush: 81–99 Love: 100
[Author Note: Does the grading sound familiar? It’s the affection grading from Azur Lane. After all, these were modified Poké Balls.]
