Book 2: Chapter 18: Big Move Killing Three
“Those Servants are gathering ten kilometers outside Orléans, and quite a few are there.” Jeanne d’Arc Alter’s True Name Discernment activated, sensing the enemy Servants.
“The French army is southeast of Orléans. That should be the reinforcements that they are waiting for.”
“So, they are waiting for the French soldiers! Humph! How weak! How can our wyvern riders lose?” Jeanne d’Arc Alter started to look down on Chen Heng. How could mere human soldiers resist an army of wyverns?
One minute later:
“Why do I feel somewhat restless? What went wrong? The Servants are still ten kilometers away. As for the human soldiers, how could they pose any danger to me? The source of this restless feeling…” Jeanne d’Arc Alter felt somewhat antsy earlier but did not know where this feeling came from.
After another two more minutes, Jeanne d’Arc Alter was fidgeting, even turning jittery. She walked out of the castle and looked around, trying to find the reason for this restlessness.
Jeanne d’Arc Alter suddenly heard whistling. The sound seemed to come from…above. She looked up but saw nothing. However, her instincts told her that the source of her unease came from the sky.
The whistling grew louder. After a while, Jeanne d’Arc Alter finally saw the source of the whistling. It was a meteor, a meteor rapidly falling toward Orléans.
“Damn it! How could there be such a ridiculous Noble Phantasm? Quickly leave! Get out of Orléans!” Jeanne d’Arc Alter shouted to the castle behind her. Then, she used a Command Spell to summon the evil dragon Fafnir. When the Servants heard her command, they came out of the castle and also discovered the meteor in the sky.
“Hurry! Quickly get on!”
------
Chen Heng sat ten kilometers outside Orléans with the other Servants beside him. When they saw the meteor falling into Orléans, Fujimaru Ritsuka immediately used a Command Spell to restore Chen Heng’s mana.
Boom! A thunderous report shook half of France. A powerful shock wave rushed at Chen Heng’s group. However, it had weakened after traveling ten kilometers. Furthermore, Chen Heng had set up an attraction barrier in front of him, so the group did not feel much of an impact.
Likewise, the French soldiers ten kilometers south of Orléans also felt the tremors and shock waves. However, they were not significantly affected as they were far away and lying prone.
“Advance toward Orléans, and prepare for the decisive battle!” Marshal Gilles de Rais drew his sword and pointed it in Orléans’s direction.
“Damn it! How could there be such a Noble Phantasm?!” Jeanne d’Arc Alter looked at the crater that remained of Orléans while standing on Fafnir’s back.
Jeanne d’Arc Alter and her subordinate Servants had not managed to get far. She even sensed a few Servants returning to the Throne of Heroes, as they had not made it in time to ride on Fafnir.
Some Servants had fallen off Fafnir because of the shock waves; in fact, Jeanne d’Arc Alter had too. However, Fafnir had caught her, but not the others. Now, only she and Gilles stood on Fafnir’s back.
Fortunately, Fafnir had not been flying very high, so those Servants would not be too severely injured.
Nevertheless, practically all the wyverns and skeleton soldiers in Orléans had been destroyed. Only two or three remained, at best.
Furthermore, Fafnir had sustained slight injuries for some reason.
Of course, that was because Chen Heng activated his A-ranked Dragonslayer and got Merlin to activate the Hero Creation personal skill when he used his Noble Phantasm.
In summary, Chen Heng’s use of his Noble Phantasm produced remarkable results.
“Alright, let’s go. It is time for us to make an appearance.” The shock waves from the meteor had already dissipated. Chen Heng used his ability to fly toward Jeanne d’Arc Alter with the other Servants.
Chen Heng had the True Name Discernment personal skill, so he knew where Jeanne d’Arc Alter went with her Servants. Furthermore, he knew how many Servants his Noble Phantasm killed.
By the time Chen Heng arrived at Jeanne d’Arc Alter’s position, she had already summoned all her Servants to her side. There were also some wyverns and skeleton soldiers outside of Orléans earlier that survived.
Currently, Chaldea’s side had Chen Heng, Georgios, Kiyohime, Elizabeth, Jeanne d’Arc, Mash, Amadeus, and Queen Marie. Oh, they also had Merlin for a total of nine Servants.
Jeanne d’Arc Alter’s side had Jeanne d’Arc Alter, Gilles, d’Eon, Lancelot, Carmilla, and Atalanta, a total of six Servants. There was also a non-standard combat force: the evil dragon Fafnir. Sanson, the Phantom of the Opera, and Vlad had died.

At this moment, the French soldiers also arrived. Jeanne d’Arc Alter and the others had been fleeing toward the French army, so the army rush over in time.
“I won’t bother saying any nonsense. Let’s start the battle. This is the final battle!” Fujimaru Ritsuka, Chaldea’s only Master, issued the command to battle, and the Servants sought out their designated opponents, following the plan previously discussed.
Fujimaru Ritsuka, Mash, and Chen Heng dealt with the evil dragon Fafnir. Marie faced d’Eon. Elizabeth faced Carmilla. Georgios restrained the Knight of the Lake Lancelot. Kiyohime and Amadeus took charge of Atalanta. The trash Merlin focused on Gilles de Rais. Finally, Jeanne d’Arc faced Jeanne d’Arc Alter in a verbal battle. In combat, Chaldea’s side held the upper hand, not just in numbers, but because Chen Heng’s Noble Phantasm had injured the enemy Servants earlier. Furthermore, some of them had also fallen out of the sky.
The remaining wyverns and skeletons were left to the French army.
The opponents were already determined. First was the evil dragon Fafnir. Facing the evil dragon Fafnir, Chen Heng unveiled his A-rank Dragonslayer, which he had kept hidden for a long time.
“Damn it! To think you are a Dragonslayer!” Jeanne d’Arc Alter sensed Fafnir’s restlessness and wanted to help it. However, Jeanne d’Arc blocked her.
“I should say what I should say. Marie counseled me yesterday. So, I only have one question for you.” Jeanne d’Arc thought about what Marie said when the females were chatting. Eventually, she decided to ask her final question.
“After all this, what else do you have to ask—”
“It’s a simple question. You…do you remember your family?”
