I Play the Horror World as a Simulation Game

Chapter 129: Hundred Herbs Guild, is a crisis approaching?

The door to the room suddenly knocked.

"Little Tang, I just heard a loud noise. What happened?" It was the voice of the neighbor downstairs.

"Oh, nothing, just the cat being naughty and accidentally knocking something over," Tang Ming replied.

"Really nothing? That's good. I thought a thief had broken in," the neighbor said, reassured by Tang Ming's voice, and left.

Tang Ming looked at Qin Nuo's arm, which had returned to normal, swallowed, and asked, "Old Qin, what's up with your arm?"

"Something from the first instance, don't worry about it," Qin Nuo replied casually, shifting the topic. "How did Ye Ming find you?"

"Two weeks ago, I heard several classmates from our class disappeared, so I thought I'd call you to warn you, but you didn't pick up."

"Every day after that, more classmates disappeared, and I felt something was wrong, so I went to find you, but you weren't home."

"I thought you might have met with misfortune too..."

By this point, Qin Nuo had a good understanding of the situation.

Back then, the whole class had left a data sheet with Ye Ming, and no one could have guessed that it would become his kill list.

Seeing Qin Nuo's expression, Tang Ming added, "But don't worry, Liu Jiaqi is fine. I heard her parents sensed something was wrong and sent her abroad immediately."

Qin Nuo shook his head with a slight smile, patting Tang Ming's shoulder. "Let's leave it at that. Remember what I told you."

"If you notice anything off, call me."

Tang Ming glanced at the bathroom and asked, "There shouldn't be any more problems, right?"

"To be safe, it's never wrong to stay cautious," Qin Nuo said.

After chatting a bit more, Qin Nuo didn't linger and returned home from Tang Ming's place.

Night quickly fell.

In Jinzhou City, the lights were dazzling, and under the neon lights, the nightlife of many young people was just beginning.

Outside Yumu Community.

Two men in trench coats appeared under the banyan tree, with several extinguished cigarette butts at their feet, watching Tang Ming's room.

"The sensor on Ye Ming has lost signal. It seems he's probably gone."

"A week ago, this kid was acting strange. Looks like the president's guess was right."

The two took out two data sheets with information on Qin Nuo and Tang Ming.

"Ye Ming was a Half-Ghost, and he fell into the hands of these two kids?" one companion said with surprise.

At that moment, a phone vibrated, and one of the bald men put it to his ear to answer, "President, should we act now?"

The voice on the other end didn't answer but asked, "Do you think you can kill Ye Ming?"

The two were puzzled but still replied, "President, don't joke around. Even if we teamed up, we might not be a match for Ye Ming, let alone kill him."

"Then why do you think you can take down the two kids who killed Ye Ming?"

"This..." The two were speechless.

"You idiots, don't go around saying you're from the Hundred Herbs Guild. It's embarrassing!"

The bald man quietly asked, "Then what's the purpose of having us monitor here?"

"Ye Ming acted on his own, which means these two must be hiding some secret. A guild officer disappearing mysteriously needs an explanation."

"Start with the people around them."

"I don't need to spell out the rest, do I?"

Before the two could speak, the call was abruptly ended.

The two exchanged glances and had no choice but to leave the community.

Back in the van, they quickly found the people around Qin Nuo and Tang Ming.

"Tang's family is in another province, a thousand kilometers away. It's too troublesome to act."

"But this Qin has a sister in the neighboring Ruzhou, easy to handle."

"Let's start with her," the man with the middle part said immediately.

The bald man stared at the screen showing the obedient Qin Yushi in her school uniform, a cold smile forming at the corner of his mouth. "This girl looks so tender. I wonder what she tastes like?"

Qin Yushi returned even faster than Qin Nuo expected. Early the next morning, he was woken up by a phone call from her.

"Little Nuo, I'm at the station. Are you home?"

Qin Nuo sat up in bed, checked the time, and saw it wasn't even six yet. The sky outside was still dark.

Yawning, he said, "Where else would I be at this hour?"

"Do you want me to pick you up at the station?"

"No need, I'll be home soon. Stay put at home and don't go anywhere, okay?"

After saying that, Qin Yushi hung up the phone, glanced at the big clock at the station, and dragged her suitcase out.

Outside the station, the white mist hadn't cleared, and the air was chilly.

Qin Yushi hailed a taxi, had the driver put her luggage in the trunk, and got in the car.

The driver, a middle-aged man, seemed very friendly, and as the car started moving, he occasionally chatted with Qin Yushi.

"Miss, you're still in college, right? Is it Ruzhou Media University?"

Qin Yushi asked in surprise, "Uncle, how did you know?"

"Hehe, you're wearing a school uniform, just like my daughter's. Even though my eyesight isn't great, I can recognize it at a glance."

The middle-aged man laughed heartily, his way of speaking and tone inexplicably making people feel at ease, easing the awkward atmosphere in the car.

"Really? What major is your daughter in?"

Qin Yushi's eyes lit up, and she became interested, chatting with the middle-aged man.

The car wasn't moving fast, and after passing two traffic lights, it suddenly stopped at an intersection.

Then, a young man got into the front passenger seat.

Qin Yushi was puzzled, and the driver quickly explained, "Don't worry, miss. This is my nephew. He just came to the city and needs to go to his parents'. I'm just giving him a lift for a short distance. It's on the way and won't delay you."

The young man in the passenger seat scratched his head and smiled sheepishly, "Sorry, I just arrived in the city, and taxis are too expensive, so I asked my uncle to give me a ride. Please understand."

Since they put it that way, Qin Yushi didn't feel right refusing and just smiled, "Alright."

Afterward, the driver and the young man started chatting in their dialect.

Qin Yushi couldn't join the conversation, so she played with her phone, not noticing that although the two in the front were chatting, they were also occasionally glancing at her.

After driving for a while, the car veered off course.

Seeing Qin Yushi look up and notice the outside, the driver said, "Miss, don't worry. I'll drop my nephew off at the next intersection."

"It's just a few dozen meters, won't take five minutes."

Not suspecting anything, Qin Yushi nodded and put her headphones back on, listening to music.

The driver glanced at the rearview mirror, habitually touched his nose, and a slight smile appeared on his lips.

This girl is too easy to fool.

The young man in the passenger seat yawned, and with one hand, slowly unzipped his backpack, revealing a rope and a knife inside...
