I Hate You, Devil!

Chapter 148 The session? Or the lesson?

Chapter 148 The session? Or the lesson?

Luo Xiaolei blinked upon hearing what Yu Chen just said. The way he said it and the awkward look in his eyes were telling her that he was lying. He really was a bad liar. An extremely bad liar!

When she was chatting with Yang Jin in the hospital, their discussion once accidentally shifted to Yu Chen’s lying ability. Luo Xiaolei mentioned that Yu Chen was a bad liar but Yang Jin assured her he was not. He even told her it was because she was just the only one he didn’t want to lie to, which was why she was like that when attempting to lie to her. Luo Xiaolei was flattered but what Yang Jin said made sense. After all, this was Yu Chen, there was no way he would have survived in the world of business if he was bad at lying!

"Really?" Luo Xiaolei asked with a narrowed, suspicious eyes as she leaned closer to him until their faces were just a foot apart.

And then, Luo Xiaolei saw Yu Chen’s complexion turn even redder, causing her to almost gasp. She was just trying to be mischievous and what she got was this?! ’Oh gosh!’

Looking at the fluffy blushing panda, Luo Xiaolei’s poor heart was being lethally attacked.

The urge to squeeze those flushed cheeks overwhelmed her. His cuteness at this moment was so severe she was afraid blood would gush out of her nose any second now.

Gladly, Luo Xiaolei managed to stand her ground. She didn’t want to see this end just yet. This man, acting all cute and awkward was such a sight to behold so she must lengthen the moment as long as she could!

Luo Xiaolei’s inner mischievous self also popped out like a little devil in her head. This little devil started to tempt her into teasing him some more, telling her that this was a rare chance.

In the end, the mischievous devil in her head got the better of her and she gave in.

Thus, in the next second, Luo Xiaolei stared into the man’s eyes with a playful gaze. Yu Chen seemed determined this time but after just five seconds, the man looked away. That was obviously his way of raising his white flag.

Luo Xiaolei bit her bottom lip to restrain herself from smiling but eventually, she was quick to give up.

His awkward reaction was like a lightning bolt striking her heart and she found it hard to continue. It seemed like she didn’t have the heart to go too hard on him in anything, not even in teasing.

"I see..." she finally smiled at him genuinely as she leaned back, surprising Yu Chen.

And then, Luo Xiaolei lifted her hand and touched his cheek so casually while still smiling at him. "I like seeing you blush," she said and then she turned and walked towards the dressing room.

Yu Chen: ". . ."

Yu Chen looked confused by her words. He innocently touched his cheeks as if he was so curious about something.

When Luo Xiaolei was back, she was already dressed in her usual conservative pair of pajamas.

Yu Chen immediately noticed her skin. It now had a natural flush, certainly because of the steam of her hot shower. Looking at her at that moment, the words she left before entering the bathroom echoed again in his head.

Yu Chen silently watched her until Luo Xiaolei tucked herself in the bed.

"I like the blush on your skin," he suddenly said and Luo Xiaolei almost choked. ’Er, what? Gosh, this man!’

Clearing her throat to recover her composure, Luo Xiaolei sat up and leaned on the headboard as well.

"Ahem... you’re copying me again." She said, looking at him.

"I’m not, I’m telling the truth."

"Cough, cough... Oh, is that so?"

"Mm."

Suddenly, the atmosphere changed. As they stared at each other Luo Xiaolei finally realized that this would be the first time they would be sleeping together, just the two of them. She was relaxed a while ago despite knowing this, maybe because Yu Chen was not allowed to move recklessly just yet. However, now that they were gazing into each other’s eyes, just a foot apart in a single bed, Luo Xiaolei started to feel self conscious.

Averting her gaze, Luo Xiaolei immediately started a conversation.

"So? Are we going to continue now?" she asked. She couldn’t think about any other words to say. She was so badly distracted.

"The session? Or the lesson?" Yu Chen replied, causing Luo Xiaolei to pull her brows together.

"Huh?"

"I think I want to do some lessons first before we continue our session."

"...!!"

Luo Xiaolei swallowed her own saliva. She finally remembered that there was still that lesson thingy that she had to deal with. She had actually forgotten about it ever since Yu Chen went abroad that night days ago.

"Err... uhm... but, you’re still in a bad shape." She could only utter.

"I’m fine. Yang Jin said I can even leave the house starting tomorrow. But I am not allowed to go to work yet."

"Oh... that’s great."

Both of them didn’t say anything for a while before Yu Chen finally opened his mouth: "You don’t want to have the lesson tonight?"

"Ah, no. I mean, it’s just that... if you faint again..."

"I think I won’t faint anymore."

"Oh... are you sure?"

"I realized that I won’t faint as long as I relax myself and just go with the flow."

"Oh, I see..." Luo Xiaolei was having a hard time finding the right reply. She didn’t know why but this was making her feel a bit tensed.

"I also noticed that I won’t faint if I’m the one who will initiates it." He continued and Luo Xiaolei just nodded. She didn’t know what else to say but when Yu Chen didn’t speak anymore and just stared at her with those irresistible eyes, looking at her as if he was waiting for her go signal, Luo Xiaolei was forced to speak.

"G-go ahead then. Don’t think about anything else and just go for it. I’ll just lead you along the way." She said and Yu Chen’s eyes flared with a certain emotion as he nodded.

’Uhm... Wait... what did I say??!’
