I Hate You, Devil!

Chapter 117 His biggest weapon

Chapter 117 His biggest weapon

Luo Xiaolei abruptly stood. She stepped away and turned her back to Yu Chen, shutting her eyes closed as she took a really deep breath. She couldn’t believe herself. She didn’t know why she was acting like this and talking like this.

Was she still drunk? She shook her head, rejecting the idea that her actions were because of the alcohol she consumed last night. She knew she was completely sober now so why was she suddenly being so out of character? Even speaking like a teenager that was getting tongue-tied talking to her crush for the very first time?

As she stood there, she somehow quickly realized the cause of all this; it was none other than this innocent maiden behind her; she was certain about it. Everything he did just kept on blowing her mind and she could tell it was getting more and more intense by the day, and this morning, Luo Xiaolei felt that he had leapt into an unprecedented level that she couldn’t even think straight anymore. He was just so heartbreakingly too much...

"Is there something wrong?"

Luo Xiaolei breathed deeply once more when she heard Yu Chen’s voice. She opened her eyes, and then she turned and walked back towards him.

"I’m just trying to clear my head because my brain cells seem to be in a mess right now, so please forget what I said a while ago," she said with a half-smile on her face before she sat back beside him and continued concealing the hickeys on his neck.

After finally leaving their room, Yu Chen and Luo Xiaolei were called by Zaki for breakfast.

When they both arrived at the dining room, Hinari was already waiting for them.

"Good morning to both of you," she greeted and Luo Xiaolei immediately greeted her back.

"Where are they?" Yu Chen asked as he casually pulled a chair Luo Xiaolei and Zaki just laughed.

"Don’t worry about those three. Sei and little Shin are busy taking care of sis-in-law." Zaki playfully said when Luo Xiaolei looked at him with a worried look.

"Is she sick?" she asked and Hinari waved her hand, smiling.

"Don’t worry. She’s just having an awful hangover but her husband and son are with her so everything will be fine." Hinari explained and Luo Xiaolei was relieved.

"So? How was your night?" Zaki butted in, grinning meaningfully at Yu Chen but to his dismay, the man simply glanced at him as he replied a boring "Let’s eat."

...

In front of the Villa’s entrance, Luo Xiaolei and Yu Chen were now preparing to leave. Zaki was talking to Juu and Kyuu while Luo Xiaolei was happily exchanging words with Hinari. They even exchanged numbers and promised each other to meet again soon.

Just as Luo Xiaolei and Yu Chen were about to walk towards their car, they heard a familiar voice. When she turned, she saw that Little Shin was hastily walking towards them.

"Miss Xiaolei," he called out and Luo Xiaolei knelt on one knee to embrace the little prince.

"How’s your mom?" Luo Xiaolei asked.

"Mommy is getting better now. Daddy is helping her to bathe." The little guy replied as he smiled when Zaki butted in.

"That’s why I told you to leave your mom to your dad." He said with a raised brow and a teasing tone, causing Little Shin to pout hard at him.

But when he shifted his face back to Luo Xiaolei, his pout disappeared.

"Pretty auntie, are you going home now?" he asked and Luo Xiaolei nodded.

"When will I see you again?" he asked when Luo Xiaolei glanced at Yu Chen. The observant little Shin of course noticed it so he too looked at his uncle. "Uncle Chen, please visit us again soon, but don’t forget to bring auntie Xiaolei with you." He requested and Yu Chen just lifted a brow.

"This is the first time you have asked me to visit again." He said but the little guy shrugged and returned his gaze towards Luo Xiaolei again, causing Zaki to chuckle.

Zaki the sidled to Yu Chen and whispered in his ear. "He only wants to see your fiancée that’s why, pfft!" he said and just as he expected, the man’s face turned a bit sour, amusing Zaki even more.

"Sure, I will visit you again soon." Luo Xiaolei spoke and embraced the little guy one last time before she stood up. But little Shin tugged her sleeve so Luo Xiaolei bent towards him.

Little Shin moved his lips closer to her ear. "Bye bye auntie. I will wait for your next visit along with your sons. I wanted to meet them too!" He whispered and then he landed a soft goodbye kiss on Luo Xiaolei’s cheek.

His sweet gesture of course made Luo Xiaolei feel delighted but Yu Chen was a bit unhappy, looking like he too, wanted a kiss.

After Luo Xiaolei and Yu Chen left, Hinari and Zaki chuckled in amusement.

"They’re amusing," Hinari said and Zaki nodded in agreement.

"Absolutely. But you didn’t give him any advice in the end."

"It’s okay. Those two don’t really need any advice. There’s no problem with Yu Chen... I would bet that his inexperience and innocence is his biggest weapon to win Xiaolei. Actually, it’d be harder for him to win Xiaolei’s heart if he isn’t the way he is right now."

"What do you mean?"

"I’m still not 100% sure but I think there’s something that Xiaolei is fighting against right now. Whatever it is, it absolutely isn’t something simple. I don’t know why but I kind of feel like she’s like you when you were trying to run away from me back then... Back then, you never opened up to me for many years and then you made me believe that it was because you don’t like me. You made me believe that was the reason you chased me away from you even though the truth was you loved me and chased me away because you had a heavy reason... The feeling is kind of the same. She seems to be trying to escape or hide something or... maybe she is scared of something."

"Scared of something? Don’t tell me she’s scared of something concerning Yu Chen."

"No, I don’t think it’s about Yu Chen. It’s more like she’s scared to fall? Or to love? I’m still not sure what she is so scared about but it is definitely not because she fears Yu Chen."

"Isn’t this a bit tough for little Chen?"

"Hmm... It would be tough if Yu Chen was the opposite personality type of what he is. I personally think your younger brother is even more cunning than I am in some aspects. I couldn’t read him at all so I am really not sure but he is absolutely not as hopeless as he seems because he has effortlessly made Xiaolei voluntarily walk back to him every time instead of running away. I could even tell that Luo Xiaolei is already slowly falling into his trap. But of course, he’s still inexperienced so he needs some helpful advice about some things so..."

"So?"

What Hinari replied to her husband was a mischievous grin and she was about to run away when Zaki quickly stopped her with backhug. "You’re such a tease, share your mischievous plan to me my wife."
