Heaven defying villain: despair broke chosen ones

Chapter 105: Saint Son And Departure

After an intimate and passionate night together, Xiao Chen and Rongmei prepared to embark on their journey to the Peach Blossom Realm.

The sun had barely risen, casting a soft golden hue over the floating cloud peak as they stepped out.

As they stepped out, they were greeted by the sight of Sect Leader Wu Tei and the elders of the sect, all standing with respectful expressions.

The day before, Xiao Chen had informed Wu Tei about the emergence of the secret realm and instructed him to prepare the sect’s disciples and elders.

While Xiao Chen had initially planned to leave with Rongmei, he dismissed the idea after some thought.

He had two flying boats lying in his storage ring but It was better not to attract unwanted attention and more importantly, Xiao Chen would rather not expose himself to Lin Tao.

One of them was found in the treasury within the Fire King’s pendant, while the other came from the storage ring gifted by Fu Ting.

Aside from the flying boat, the storage ring contained a vast array of treasures, rare herbs, advanced cultivation techniques, and high-grade weapons.

’Ah, I already miss my mom and little Jingxue.’ His expression softened momentarily, a faint smile tugging at his lips before he shook the thoughts away.

"Sect Leader Wu, are the preparations complete?" Xiao Chen asked, his tone casual but authoritative, his gaze locking onto Wu Tei.

Wu Tei stepped forward, bowing deeply before replying, "Yes, Young Master Chen. I have selected the top disciples and elders for this mission. The disciples are currently assembled at the Grand Sect Hall"

"We can depart at your command," Wu Tei stepped back after speaking.

The sight of their sect leader behaving so humbly in front of Xiao Chen left the elders astonished.

Although Wu Tei had advised them to show respect to Xiao Chen, his humble attitude went far beyond what they had expected.

However, they were no fools. It was clear that Xiao Chen’s influence and power was that high.

"We greet Young Master Chen!" the elders shouted, bowing deeply.

Xiao Chen’s lips curved into a satisfied smile as he glanced at Wu Tei.

’Now I see why Jingxue’s mother chose this sect to leave her daughter. The Wu family members are truly the best lackeys’ He thought jokingly.

With the elders and disciples assembled, They are ready to depart.

"You all know how you should treat me in front of disciples, right?" He asked with a hint of amusement.

"Of course, Young master!" Wu Tei and the elders responded instantly.

"Xiao Chen smiled and added, "Good, then Let’s not keep them waiting."

He turned his head toward Rongmei, nodding slightly.

Understanding his signal, Rongmei smiled faintly before her figure transformed into a wisp of light and entered the jade pendant hanging around his neck.

With Wu Tei and the elders taking the lead, Xiao Chen leaped into the air and his figure cut through the sky as he flew towards the grand sect hall.

After a brief flight, the group arrived at the grand sect hall. As Xiao Chen descended gracefully to the ground, his presence immediately caught the attention of the gathered disciples.

"Is that our new Saint Son?" one of them whispered, eyes wide with curiosity.

"He certainly looks powerful! Just standing near him, I can sense a similar aura to the Saintess," another murmured in awe.

"Why did you have to bring up the Saintess?" someone sighed.

"It’s still hard to believe she left. But then again, it’s a great honor to be recruited by a force from the Middle Realm," another disciple added, a mix of pride and sadness in their voice.

"I knew from the moment I saw the Saintess that she was destined for greatness. Now it seems our new Saint might also…"

"Enough already! Stop running your mouth!" a senior disciple snapped, silencing the murmurs.

Hearing their chatter, Xiao Chen shook his head, a faint smile playing on his lips. It seems Wu tei had already made up an excuse for Tang Jingxue’s departure and made him the saint’s son.

If it weren’t for the system, he would’ve been just like them—grinding endlessly to cultivate with the meager resources provided by the sect, praying for an elder’s attention and a chance to rise above mediocrity.

His musings were interrupted as Wu Tei, one of the sect’s senior elders, stepped forward to address the disciples.

After giving them a series of instructions, Wu Tei reached into his storage ring and retrieved a small, intricately carved flying boat. With a flick of his wrist, the miniature vessel shot into the air.

In an instant, it transformed into an enormous, majestic flying boat. Its grand design left the disciples awestruck.

The massive wings stretched out on either side, shining with ethereal light, while the front of the f boat was shaped like a longsword, emanating a sharp, overpowering sword energy that cut through the air like a blade cutting tofu.

Wu Tei and Xiao Chen were the first to board the boat.

Standing at the edge of the deck, Wu Tei gestured to the disciples. "Get on!" he commanded, his tone authoritative and commanding.

The disciples hurriedly hopped onto the boat while marveling at its sheer size and craftsmanship as they took their positions.

Following behind, The elders also boarded the boat.

Once everyone was aboard, Xiao Chen gave a command through voice transmission.

’Let’s set off.’

With that, Wu Tei operated the boat with his spiritual energy.

Instantly, The massive flying boat hummed to life, the sharp energy surrounding it intensifying as it began to rise into the sky.

Xiao Chen gave a nod to Wu Tei and the elders before turning away and heading toward the cabins.

Entering one of the private rooms, he stepped inside and quietly shut the door behind him.

"Now then, let’s see if I can break through to the Dao comprehension realm before we arrive at the destination," Xiao Chen said as he walked towards the cultivation chamber.
