Chapter 364 Xin Yan's Sword
"You want to raise the level of your body?" Noah was surprised to be suddenly approached by Xin Yan with this topic.
Currently, he was standing in the middle of the training field with his sword in his hands. He wanted to break through to the next level of his sword intent.
"You are currently in the middle of the fifth stage of body refinement, right?"
"Indeed. When you used the powerful qi and blood of my son to enhance my body, I broke through at that moment, but my qi cultivation has been stagnant." Xin Yan's words caused Noah's eyes to widen.
"Hehe, did you think I wouldn't notice it? I am his mother, after all." Seeing Noah's eyes widen, Xin Yan's voice mellowed as she chuckled lightly.
'Just what kind of absurd explanation is that,' Noah thought, shaking his head, but he did not say anything aloud. Instead, he considered methods that could help her power grow.
His eyes landed on the sword in his hands before they glowed with a sudden realization.
"You don't have to necessarily break through to become stronger. You told me you come from a family that likes to use swords, so why don't you try to learn the sword? I will help you until you can enter the sword realm and comprehend your own sword intent."
Xin Yan's eyes flashed with surprise and gratitude, but there was also a trace of doubt in her eyes.
"I have never been the best sword user in our family. I have always been defeated by the people of my family in terms of achievement in sword dao." Xin Yan's voice became meek as she lowered her head.
"That is not true. The sword is impartial. If you swing it, it follows your command. You just have to have the right heart to move the sword." Noah uttered softly as he traced his fingers on the surface of the blade before looking back at Xin Yan.
"When I was in the sword realm, all I heard was the screams of different swords, shouting for someone to pick them up and swing them. Use them to forge their path."
Xin Yan found herself fascinated as she continued to hear more of Noah's words.
"Yet none of those swords felt right to me. Using swords to walk a path forged by them, that's not me. I just wanted a partner to walk on the path I forge by myself."
Xin Yan's eyes shone with brilliance as she found herself entranced with Noah's words. She found herself lost in his words, understanding the way he used to wield his sword.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
'Not everyone has the same path they want to walk on. He found a sword that could accompany him on his path. What do I want my sword to swing for?'
Noah stopped talking when he saw the lost look in her eyes and walked further away from her with a smile on his face.
'I hope you can find the place where your sword lies.'
Noah sat down on the ground and discarded the thought of practicing with sword intent anymore, as it could end up disturbing Xin Yan, which he did not want to happen.
'I should try to use my magic. It's time I grow it side by side.'
Closing his eyes, Noah immersed himself in the darkness visible to him.
Xin Yan stood there as her body started to exude a tranquil aura. She found herself immersed in the most important question of her life. She had to look for a path that decided where she wanted to be in the future.
Just like these two, Ruo'er was also focusing on getting stronger. On the other side of the mansion, Ming Ye stood behind her as she sat in a meditative pose with her eyes closed.
"The technique I am about to teach you can only be taught to those who want to fight for the next position of the clan head. Think again, once you decide to learn this technique, there is no backing away from the race of succession to be the next clan head." Ming Ye stressed the last words more as they asked for her confirmation.
"I have decided." She replied with a firm look in her eyes.
"Very well." The old man placed his hands on Ruo'er's head and closed his eyes. Ruo'er also closed her eyes as she felt a streak of information entering her mind. She could not understand anything in the information, but she stayed calm and let the entire information enter her mind.
After a while, the old man took his hand back, but Ruo'er remained seated in the same position.
"Sigh~ I wonder what the future has in store for this little girl." Looking at the faraway mountains, Ming Ye sighed out loud.
In an incense stick worth of time, Ruo'er opened her eyes and looked at her hand that glowed in a dark aura before clenching her fists. She looked around and found her grandfather standing a little far away looking at her with a calm look on his face.
"This technique…" Seeing him approach, she frowned and expressed her confusion, "Is this technique incomplete?" Ming Ye stopped in his tracks hearing the words of his granddaughter.
"You can tell?" His voice contained a genuine hint of surprise causing Ruo'er's frown to deepen. He never thought that she would be able to tell that the technique was not complete.
"Why didn't you tell me about this before?" Ruo'er sounded displeased with him, which caused the old man to laugh dryly. "I could not, this is the rule of the clan. No one can tell the heirs the technique is incomplete unless they find it out by themselves. Which no one could ever do… until now."
A bright light flashed through Ming Ye's eyes as he looked at Ruo'er from head to toe, trying to sense the changes in her body. Seeing the lingering dissatisfied look in her eyes, Ming Ye sighed and explained to her properly.
"Only the clan leader can learn this technique completely. I am sorry, but I cannot teach you anything more than this about this technique unless you become the clan head."
Ruo'er lowered her head and clenched her fists hearing the old man's words. 'It's not grandfather's fault… he is bound by the rules of the clan. Besides, I need to get stronger, and it does not matter if I do it with this technique or some other way.'
