Chapter 353 He Needs To Rest
Shisan turned to look at Yuan Ming, who was standing there with a tense expression and a sweat-drenched body. She snorted upon seeing him acting clueless about what Tian Heng had just said and disappeared from her place.
Yuan Ming sighed in relief upon seeing her not coming after him before cursing Tian Heng to be caught in his mind for the betrayal.
"Is there something wrong, Junior sister?" Seeing the worried look on Song Liu's innocent face, Yuan Ming asked.
She looked at him before nodding a little and looking back in the direction where the two of them ran down to.
"So you are worried about your senior brother?" Realization dawned on his face as he asked. Seeing her nod confirmed his guess.
"There is nothing to be worried about that ba— Ahem! That guy, he had it coming for saying all those things." When he saw the confused look on her face, Yuan Ming changed the topic. "Let's go to a nearby restaurant and eat something before leaving."
He scratched the back of his head in embarrassment before leading her to a nearby restaurant. They failed to notice a couple of people who were looking at them while standing in different places among the crowd, keeping an eye on them.
They shared a look among themselves before one of them left the place, leaving the rest to keep an eye on them.
Upon arriving, they were greeted by the staff politely before being led to a more silent place on the ground floor.
Just as they were about to order the food, Yuan Ming's attention went towards the two people who just appeared beside their seats.
They were none other than Shisan, who was carrying Tian Heng like a sack of potatoes. He looked like someone who had either gone through a lot of bullying growing up because of his appearance or a man who had just suffered some bullying.
His face was both swollen and grazed with marks that looked like claw marks. Yuan Ming could only think about what the boy had to go through.
*Thud!*
Dropping the guy on the chair, Shisan looked at Yuan Ming with a cold look in her eyes but did not say anything and calmly sat beside Song Liu.
"Hmm, you were worried that Wuhan would mind me beating up his disciple?" Yuan Ming froze upon hearing those words, and he looked at Shisan who was talking with Song Liu. He could not help but blush in embarrassment that what he thought he had guessed from her actions turned out to be wrong. He could not help but wonder why she nodded to his words.
What he did not know was that she was worried, he would feel bad that he could not talk with her, so she just went along with his guess. She did not care about Tian Heng because he said all the horrible things about her guard.
"There is no need to think so much about that guy; he does not dare to say anything." Shisan shrugged it off and looked at the waiter approaching them.
"What would you like to order?" Yuan Ming looked at Shisan, waiting for her decision.
"We both will have the Duck soup and some dumplings." Seeing Yuan Ming's gaze, she ordered without even asking the girl beside her as if she was aware of what she might order.
With a nod, Yuan Ming looked at Tian Heng, who was still in no shape and gave his own orders.
In a few hours, they left the shop after eating the food they were given.
"Where should we go next?" With Tian Heng hanging on his shoulders, Yuan Ming looked at Shisan for her instruction.
"We should leave this place and return to the sect. Waterfall City may seem peaceful, but there are always dangers lurking in the shadows," Shisan replied while glancing at the alley near one of the turns in the area.
After a glance, she looked away and led the three of them out of the City.
Yuan Ming couldn't shake the feeling that they had narrowly avoided a potentially dangerous situation. He made a mental note to keep a closer eye on their surroundings in the future.
Back in the alley,Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Liang Wei stood against the wall with his body drenched in sweat. He gasped for breath while glancing at the entrance of the restaurant.
"So the elder was with the girl all along, and to think she is so powerful." He glanced at his men and changed his behavior before adding, "Let's go back; we cannot be away from the branch for longer. Otherwise, the branch leader might notice something."
"What route are we taking back to the sect?" After leaving the city, Yuan Ming looked around, wondering if someone was still following behind them.
"There is no need to choose." With a wave of her hand, Shisan pulled a flying ship out of her storage ring before throwing it up in the air.
"Get up." She pulled Song Liu and flew up on the ship. As soon as she took out her ship, the people who were standing at the gate noticed a huge ship in the air and started talking among themselves while pointing at the ship.
"Is that a flying artifact?"
"Did some big shot visit the city?"
Yuan Ming could not help but feel a bad feeling arise in his heart seeing how high profile their elder was. Pulling another sword from his ring, he used it to rise in the air and launch himself towards the ship.
*Boom!*
With a blast, the ship took off in the air, making its way towards the Benevolent Guardian Sect.
"Whaa!!" On the ship, Tian Heng suddenly snapped his eyes open and looked around the place in panic. "Who dared to kidnap me!!"
In his daze, he yelled after noticing the different surroundings around him.
*Smack!*
Before he could yell anymore, he felt a sharp pain in his neck before his sight darkened, and he fell unconscious.
Shisan looked at Yuan Ming with a speechless look on his face as if he was the person who knocked the boy out.
"He needs rest to recover." Yuan Ming coughed in embarrassment before looking away from her.
