Gangster System: I Will Become The Greatest Gangster!

Chapter 95 Amazing...

'Zack really has changed, hasn't he? He seems to have broken out of that shell of his and he truly will be one of the greatest assets of the Outlaw Gang. Everything he can do is just so impressive.' Xavier couldn't help but think to himself after Zack left the room.

Since Zack would be gone for a while to wash up and eat breakfast, Xavier was left with his own thoughts, and that was not something he liked to be left with.

'I really should go and see my mother and take more care of her, but I can't this week. I need to make sure this works out, not only for myself, but for all of those that have just joined and for everyone relying on them.'

Zack had his grandmother, Connor had his sisters, Achara had her family back in Thailand and Sam had...

What did Sam have?

Thinking about it to himself, Xavier didn't know much about Sam and he was such a dull and quiet character outside of fighting and the Outlaw Gang that it was hard to get much out of him.

He seemed to have a great need for money, but also prioritised going home, or so it seemed, which led Xavier to believe he had some sort of loved one he was taking care of.

But Xavier truly didn't know much about him and left a mental note to find out more about Sam.

Not because he was suspicious of him, as he trusted his instincts and was sure that Sam was trustworthy and had the potential that made him deserving of the position he had given him.

But simply to be able to look out for him and help him out if he needed it.

And it was also the same with the rest that had joined the Outlaw Gang, including Karim and his friends as well as the other fighters in the fight club.

However, Xavier wanted to keep close contact mostly with his 5 main trusted and capable people within the gang, which are Connor, Achara, Sam, Zack and Karim.

That's not to say that the others in the gang weren't valued, it's just that he trusted the 5 of them and chose to deal with them and make sure they are all doing well.

Xavier already had enough to deal with and the model he had set up would be the most efficient and safe, with those that the top of the model being the most capable and having the most responsibility, but also less involved in the nitty-gritty of things.

That way there would be a clear structure to the gang and a trickle-down effect, which gave those in the gang something to aspire to and a method to be rewarded and recognised for their abilities and contributions.

And with that in mind, Xavier was trying his best to help the 5 that he had chosen to grow and develop, so that they could do the same with the rest of the gang.

-

With the help of the system, all of their skills were almost guaranteed to improve at rapid rates, and with their ambition and some pressure, they would surely thrive.

Through that, it wouldn't take them long to stand out in the gang for their skills and get the respect and opportunities that they deserved.

However, Xavier didn't want their relationship to become one that merely relied on mutual benefit.

Instead, he wanted to form a large family that could rely on and trust each other, and to do so, he had to build strong bonds with the 5 that he had chosen to be his executives.

He also wanted to nudge them in the right direction, which he seemed to have been able to do quite easily with Connor, who was quickly finding himself.

And the same was with Achara and Sam, who had quickly adapted to everything and naturally adjusted to their positions as leaders.

Next on the agenda was to help Zack, and he wanted to start forming a team around him, as it would be essential for the gang to be able to function.

In the process, he wanted to help Zack gain more confidence in himself and find the right people to work with him to form a top-notch logistics team.

And to do that, he needed the help of none other than Zack himself.

-

"So, how should we get started?" Zack asked upon returning to his room as he sat at his desk.

Xavier who had been deep in thought and had a serious expression, quickly jumped up and put on his usual smile, as he joined Zack at his desk.

"Well, there are quite a few things that I need your help with, so get ready for that," Xavier warned, and Zack nodded his head in response and seemed ready, but he had underestimated just how much Xavier wanted to get done in one sitting.

"Let's get straight to it. We need a lawyer and an accountant that will work under you, so we'll prepare a list of suitable candidates now. After getting their information and everything, I'll go and scout them out myself and pick who would fit."

"We also need to find a suitable office space that is local, affordable, safe and owned by someone that is trustworthy and willing to accept cash. Not only that, but we also need to find 2 more suitable dojos for training and gathering, as well as one more area for Karim and his side of things. Some sort of abandoned arcade would do."

Zack nodded his head and, unlike Xavier was expecting, he didn't take any notes, which caused him to pause.

"Are you getting all of this, Zack?"

"Yeah, don't worry. I don't need to take notes, but I can if you want me to," he responded.

"So you're telling me that you have remembered everything I've said so far?" Xavier questioned.

"Yeah, and I can repeat it back to you if you want."

"Please do."

It wasn't that Xavier doubted or didn't believe Zack, but he just wanted to make sure and test just how great Zack's memory was.

But after Zack repeated everything back to him, he was left gobsmacked.

Is that even humanly possible?

He repeated everything he had said to him to the word, and Xavier was pretty confident in his own short-term memory and had always been pretty good at studying, but Zack was on an entirely different level.

And seeing Xavier's shock, he even went on to say that he could recite to him anything he wanted to.

"As long as I've heard it before clearly and paid attention to it, it's hard for me to forget things. Which can sometimes be a headache, but it makes studying and general knowledge quizzes pretty easy."

"Amazing..." Xavier couldn't help but utter after testing Zack on anything he could think of.

"How long has your memory been this good?"

"Um, for as long as I can remember. But it is a double-edged sword. Imagine never being able to forget anything. Both the good and the bad."

"I understand, Zack, but I'm sure you can handle the mental strain that comes with it, and you must've gotten used to it by now. I'm just surprised by the fact that you're going to the same school as Karim and haven't skipped years of school."

Zack shrugged and answered, "It just never interested me to do so and, to be honest, I struggle to find things hard or interesting anymore."

"I've always wished I could be the cool main character in the story. Because of that, I've played every game and read every story out there to try and replicate that feeling, but the sad truth is that in reality, I'm just a loser."

"But not anymore. You're a part of the Outlaw Gang and an important side character in the story," Xavier reassured him.

"Side character?"

"Yeah. I'm the main character of course."

Zack didn't bother arguing with Xavier and just laughed, glad that he could open up to someone about how he felt.

"Zack, if you want one piece of advice, live your life how you want to live it and think about your future self. That's what I like to do. Have you ever thought to yourself that your past self was such an idiot for not cleaning your room, for example? Well, right now you are your future self's past self. So don't let yourself down."

"And as long as you try your best, you can do anything you want in life," Xavier added.

"I guess you're right, but I disagree with that last part. I would never be able to become a professional athlete or an artist, for example, but I can become the Outlaw Gang's Oracle, and that is exactly what I'll become."

And with that, the 2 of them got straight to work and before they knew it, a few hours had passed...
