Fate Online: Shadow

Chapter 265 Changes 1

In the living room.

"It seems someone had fun earlier"

Alice who was sitting on the sofa and watching TV suddenly turned her head to the side and saw the huge smile on Michael’s face just as he had left his room and made his way over to the living room.

"Really?" Michael is looking at her with a smile on his face.

"Yeah, it’s so obvious with that huge grin on your face" Alice laughed with her head turned towards Michael.

While walking towards the direction of the kitchen, Michael said, "Maybe...it’s because Amanda and I are officially dating now?"

"Oh my! Really!?"

Alice sounded really surprised, but Michael noticed that there’s not even a single shred of surprise in her eyes.

’Hmm...could those people really sent by my parents to keep an eye on me or...on the two of us?’

While having those thoughts inside his head, Michael served himself a glass of milk and then made his way over to the living room and sat on the sofa with his mother.

"Make sure to bring her home, okay?" Alice suddenly said to Michael the moment he sat down.

"Uhh...why?" said Michael as he turned towards his mother.

Alice exaggeratedly gestured her head when she heard what Michael said.

"Isn’t it obvious? I want to see if she’s really suitable for you, and at the same time, get to know her"

Michael almost snorted with a laugh when he heard her.

"I think she’s quite fine"

"You say that, but I haven’t assessed her yet" Alice grinned like a mischievous child.

"Ahh...didn’t you already met her before though?" Michael said as he took a sip of his milk.

"But we only met for a brief moment so we still don’t know each other that well, so make sure to bring her home next time, okay?" Alice smiled at him.

But Michael only saw a threatening smile on her face, so in the end, he couldn’ help but agree in the end.

"Fine, but I’ll still need to ask her if she’s okay with it"

"Come on, who wouldn’t want to meet the parents of their lovers?"

Then Alice raised an eyebrow at Michael.

"Don’t tell me you don’t want her to officially meet us?"

Michael rolled his eyes, but he wasn’t looking at Alice, instead, he’s looking straight towards the television in front of them.

"Geez, okay. I’ll bring her next time"

Alice suddenly beamed when she finally heard what she wanted to hear from Michael.

"Good, then bring her home soon"

Michael then turned towards her and asked, "Anyway, where’s the old man? He’s not always home lately and it’s always the two of us here"

Alice answered, "Ohh, he’s busy with work. Don’t worry about it"

Michael made that eye movement when you think someone’s answer is suspicious.

"Okay~"

"What’s your level in the game now?" Alice asked, trying to change the subject.

"Oh, I’m already Level 41" Michael smiled.

Alice turned towards him in surprise and said, "Really? You’re fast, doesn’t that make you the highest leveled player then?"

Michael shrugged his shoulders and said, "I guess so, not like it matters to me anyway"

Alice then gave him a quick glance before focusing on watching the show on the television, as both of them watched in silence.

A couple of days earlier.

"What? You’re telling me that the team that was sent to ambush the people from Wandering Souls was wiped out by a team from Flame Rose Guild and a team of Blood Guards!?"

Orkhon was just about to start a company meeting between his executives and him when he suddenly received a call telling him that the players that their guild sent to assassinate some important members from Wandering Souls were instead wiped out by a group of NPCs, and what’s worse is that one of the groups who joined the killing of their members is just an upstart guild!

Which is unacceptable for him! It would’ve been fine if they were killed by a group of NPCs, but getting wiped out by players from a third rate guild is like a stain in their name and reputation as one of the behemoth guilds!

Bang!

"How is that possible!? We planned this for a long time!" Orkhon angrily slammed his palm on top of the expensive table in front of him.

While the executives who came to attend today’s company meeting just sat there stiffly, as they just listened to Orkhon, not daring to say anything that would incur his wrath today.

"You’re telling me that a third rate guild was able to fight one of our elite teams in an even ground!? How is that possible!? Are you shitting with me this early in the morning!?" Orkhon’s eyes had turned red from anger listening to one of his men’s reports.

"Found out what truly happened! I refuse to think that a third rate guild would have the guts to attack our people!" Orkhon angrily slammed his hand on the table before hanging up the call.

But he had clearly forgotten that the guild that he’s been labeling as a third rate had managed to hold their ground against one of their branch guilds in the game before, and they even caused their branch guild some serious losses.

Especially to their items that they had dropped for the members of Flame Rose Guild to pick up.

"Everyone, I’m sorry that you had to witness that"

Orkhon looked at every single executive sitting in front of him one by one with a smiling expression on his face, acting like what the people saw earlier was just an illusion because they can’t even see a trace of his wrathful self earlier.

’President is truly scary’

’He really deserves his title as the Two-Faced Gentleman’

’I hope the meeting today would end well of us’

Everyone had different thoughts swimming through their minds, but outside, they just smiled in understanding and acted like they didn’t see or hear anything about what happened earlier.

"Well, as you guys must have heard earlier..."
