Face-Slapping System

Chapter 71 Poaching Staff?

Hearing the employee, Roland could finally confirm that the guy he face-slapped from before has ultimately become a robber due to him.

As they say, in every action, there would be a reaction.

This was the result of multiple scenarios piling up together.

Due to the employee's arrogant ways of handling customers, Roland ended up face-slapping him. With Roland's face-slapping, the management heard the incident and fired the guy as the consequence of his actions.

The guy got desperate, so he turned into a bad guy and robbed a small grocery store with two others.

In the end, although Roland was partly to blame for this series of events, it was he himself who resolved the issue as well.

However, even with the matter getting settled like that, Roland has actually become worried about his future actions.

With the System, and his way of handling things, it was apparent that he would be face-slapping people left and right in the future.

This time, the guy only resorted to robbing others. What if in the future, someone would take revenge and claim his life directly? That would be bad.

Currently, although his physical body was already enhanced twice with the potions help, Roland knew that he was still far from evading bullets, much less becoming invulnerable to them.

Perhaps, as he continued to level up, there would come a time that he would be immune to them. But right now, Roland still needs to be careful.

Thinking of this, Roland became even more aware of how important the potions were compared to the other products in the system. He looked at his current Face-Slapping Points and noticed he now only has a total of 4670 FS Points after he bought the Level 1 Unarmed Combat as well as the two potions which cost him 2050 FS Points in total.

The current price of the Level 3 Potions was 10,000 FS Points. Previously, Roland has already decided that he must buy the two potions at the same time to make it balanced. Roland still has a long way to go before he could buy them.

He could only sigh as he hoped that the next big-time face-slapping opportunity would come soon.

Roland thanked the employee for answering his questions.

He then looked at Stacey and thought that she might also like a Jolex Watch of her own. So he offered to buy her one only for her to decline.

Roland thought that she was only embarrassed, but Stacey explained that she already had one and the item was already on its way to Fore City.

In fact, Stacey had never actually hidden the fact that she was from a wealthy family. It's just that due to her way of living, as well as the fact that the boss of the store was secretly manipulating some information behind the scenes, those around her unconsciously thought that she was hiding her background on purpose.

Stacey was unaware of this as well, so the series of coincidences made it so that she was like a mysterious person in the eyes of others.

Of course, after a few days, Roland was already more or less aware that Stacey was not simple.

From the start when she mentioned that she was at the top of her class, and how she managed to become a manager right after she graduated, Roland knew that her background was probably not simple.

Anyways, as Stacey declined his offer, Roland could only cry again as his good intentions ended up going into waste again. The opportunity to spend money once again escaped his grasps.

Roland could only lament silently at that.

After bidding farewell to the employee, Roland and Stacey no longer lingered on the mall any longer as they decided to go to their next destination.

It's time to poach some talents from the opposing team.

A few minutes later, Roland parked the yellow sedan in the Mark Jonalds fast food restaurant branch that was owned by Bryan's family.

He opened the car door for Stacey before they went inside the well-known fast-food restaurant in the area.

Naturally, they weren't here to eat. They were here for the manager, Gustav.

During the times when Roland was still working here, Gustav has been treating him kindly. He acted like a big brother to Roland and would even guide him from time to time to make his work more efficient.

He was managing the branch nicely, but there was one thing that Roland knew that Gustav was indignant of. It was the wage offered by the direct management of the restaurant.

Right now, Roland does not lack money.

With that as a starting point, Roland planned to have Gustav work for him.

A familiar service crew came in front of them and handed them the menu. However, instead of ordering, Roland directly asked for him to call Gustav over.

A while later, the fat Gustav emerged from the kitchen with a heavy frown on his face. It was apparent that he was not in a good mood.

"Kid, to think that I'd still see you again. I told you to get your phone available, why are you not reachable?" He asked a bunch of questions as he scrutinized Roland, and Stacey who was sitting beside him.

During these past few days, Bryan and Anna have been frequenting the restaurant a lot, causing Gustav's mood to become worse every day. Apparently, she liked it a lot and fried chicken has become her favorite food. They would come here at least once a day to eat.

And of course, Bryan would only pay it with the 'Do it as usual' combo.

Coupled with the fact that Roland's number was unreachable, Gustav felt like the world was going against him.

He actually blamed himself slightly for firing Roland abruptly. He knew the kid's situation and he knew that firing him would be bad for the kid's way of living, and there might be a chance that he would starve to death.

During the past few days that he had been contacting Roland's number, he was actually worried about his well-being.

Seeing Roland alive and kicking right now made him happy, but he did not show it on his face as he sat in front of Roland and Stacey.

"Who is this? Your girlfriend?"
