Chapter 382 The Miserable Death of the Crimson Shadow Bandits - Part 4

Looking at the rows of strangely armor men, the Crimson Shadow Bandits were stunned for a moment before they burst into hysterical laughter.

"What!" the bandit leader exclaimed, disdain marring his face. "Are you some kind of clowns? Go get some real armor if you're going to fight us."

He clicked his tongue, dripping with scorn. "Kill everyone and leave the man behind the counter. He will lead us to the location of the Fire Horned Lizard."

The bandit leader had grown impatient, eager to lay his hands on the Fire Horned Lizard. With the Fire Horned Lizard, he could already see his bright future.

They might be bandits, but the rivalry and competition between them were fiercer than in any ordinary organization. The cruelty of the bandits toward one another was something common folk could never understand.

To be promoted a rank, they had to step over hundreds of corpses, both friends and foes.

The only exception was when someone did something meritorious for the boss. In that regard, capturing the Fire Horned Lizard would be a great service to the Crimson Shadow Bandit Boss.

As for the ordinary bandits, when their leader received his reward and promotion, it would flow toward them since they were in his team.

Therefore, they couldn't wait to kill these locals and take the Fire Horned Lizard.

Unsheathing their weapons, twenty bandits rushed toward the quiet adventurers, their faces filled with cruel smiles.

Killing was a norm for them, and it could be said they derived pleasure from watching ordinary people's helpless faces.

But today, things were bound to be different.

Before the twenty men could reach the group of adventurers, two knights stepped out of their formation and intercepted the bandits.

Whoosh!

In a swift motion, they unsheathed their swords from their scabbards, swinging them horizontally—no fanfare, just pure sword slashes.

The bandits were not surprised to see the knights attack. On the contrary, their faces were filled with evil smiles.

Raising their weapons, two of the bandits responded with casual sword strikes. They were Second-Rate Martial Artists, and they saw no reason why their casual attack wouldn't overpower an ordinary mortal's attack.

Or so they thought.

Bang!

Before they realized what was happening, their weapons were cleaved in two, and the knights' swords continued on their paths.

"NO!!!" the bandits cried.

Everything happened in a blink, not giving the two Second-Rate Martial Artist bandits a chance to react.

Thud!

Their heads separated from their bodies, rolling on the ground and leaving a trail of blood.

Looking at the two headless corpses, everyone in the lobby held their breath, shock marring their faces.

As for the two knights, they didn't stop their actions and continued toward the remaining eighteen bandits.

When the bandits saw the knights coming toward them, they snapped out of their stupor and howled in rage.

"You dare kill them! I'll make sure you regret being born," one of the bandits shouted, his eyes bloodshot.

His only thought was to kill the knights and avenge his fallen comrades.

Rushing toward the knights, he saw only a bright flash before his consciousness descended into darkness.

'What just happened?' he thought, full of confusion. Unfortunately for him, he wouldn't get the answer in this life.

Realizing the strange-looking men were not ordinary, the bandit leader's face turned grim, and he shouted, "Ignore those two! Everyone, attack them!"

Instantly, all the bandits rushed toward the knights, their faces filled with anger. How could some weak ants dare to kill their men? They would show these locals why everyone feared them.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Before their rage could manifest, five bandits fell in quick succession, each of them losing their head.

The gory scene sent shivers down the spines of all the adventurers in the lobby.

They had thought the knights were powerful, but they had never expected them to be such horrifying killing machines.

What terrified them the most was the knights' efficiency in severing heads. They dealt with the bandits as if they were chopping fish on a cutting board.

In less than a minute, half of the bandits had lost their heads, leaving headless corpses behind.

The pristine lobby was dyed in blood, blood flowing like a stream.

To the knights, it seemed they didn't even notice the carnage, as their eyes remained locked on the few remaining bandits.

"Who are you?" the bandit leader asked, his voice trembling.

Since becoming a bandit, this was the first time he had seen ordinary-looking people kill Second-Rate Martial Artists as if they were slaughtering chickens.

However, instead of receiving any response from the knights, they charged toward him and his men, swords raised above their heads.

"Don't think we're scared of you! Those were just the weakest among us," the bandit leader sneered, brimming with confidence.

He was a Master Martial Artist, and among those remaining were five First-Rate Martial Artists, while the others were Second-Rate Martial Artists.

Behind him, his men exuded confidence, looking at the five knights as if they were already dead.

"Kill!" The bandit leader pointed his saber at the knights.

"Seven Sea Tide – First Tide!"n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Before the bandits could launch their attack, the knights attacked all at once, using a martial technique for the first time.

Inside the lobby, the air churned violently as terrifying sharpness filled the room. An illusory sea tide appeared in everyone's vision, rushing toward the bandits.

Compared to their previous attack, this one was on a whole new scale.

'Danger!' all the bandits screamed in their minds, standing straight with their nerves tensed.

'I can't defend against this...' the bandit leader thought, stupefied, his face filled with dread. Without hesitation, he employed rule 15 of banditry—escape.

As for the lives of his men, he didn't care.

Before he could reach the door, a terrifying bang echoed behind him, sending shivers down his spine. Experience tales with empire

'Oh my...'

'I need to leave this city immediately.'

The carnage he glimpsed from the corner of his eye had scared the hell out of him, abandoning all thoughts of capturing the Wu clan's young miss and the Fire Horned Lizard.

Right now, his only thought was to escape from this dreadful place.

Alas, it was too late.

'Why can't I move my body?!' He furrowed his brow, filled with confusion.

He tried to use his power as a Master Martial Artist, only to realize his Qi wasn't responding.

'How can this be?!'

'This is impossible! Not even the boss could do this!'

His worldview was shattered, thrown into a whirlpool of confusion. His pride was long gone, replaced with trepidation and despair.

Turning his head, he saw a knight raising his sword above him like a grim reaper.

He opened his mouth to plead for his life, only to realize no sound was coming out.

'I'm doomed!' was his last thought before everything turned to darkness.
