CHAPTER 209 - His Limit

Instantly, Andromeda narrowed her eyes at Sun Yichen suspiciously, but knowing he had been the calmer one, she decided to give it a chance and try.

In no time, she had her eyes closed while waiting for the predestined surprise.

A few seconds passed but nothing happened, what caught her attention more was how quiet it all turned out to be.

Or was it just in her head? Her lips went stiff at the thought.

At this point, she started to feel suspicious as several thoughts ran through her mind.

'What could it be? Was it a cookie, a piece of jewelry, a fruit or...'

She could not quite put her mind to it. However, she soon began to feel his presence grow closer to her. That singular action kept her mind at ease to some extent.

At first, she thought nothing wrong about it but the second she felt him come closer, her suspicions increased.

Without wasting another second, Andromeda pried her eyes open just to be sure and to her great surprise, her intuition was right.

Standing face to face close to her with eyes closed, Andromeda was shocked to see Sun Yichen's lips moving close to hers.

'What!'

Before she could do anything, she heard a sharp deep voice at her side and the inevitable happened.

*****

Riding from Rong Bolin's house, Liu Xueyi kept his gaze plastered on the road while occasionally glancing over when he drove close to any restaurant.

With the situation that happened today, he found it hard to resist the urge of not looking, just in case he really saw her.

At the very least he was not disappointed twice today. As much as he wished to be disappointed, a part of him was quite reluctant on that idea.

Whether or not he was intentionally inflicting self-hurt on himself or not, he could not tell, just that he wanted to see her.

He had been so occupied with several meetings and failed to check in on her.

And after the meeting he had at 2:30 pm, he went straight to Rong Bolin's house.

He realized he had not been fair to his friend who came to him for something essential and hopefully a solution.

In the end, he failed to give him a listening ear. Wanting to correct that wrong, he went to fix things.

Now, he was tired and wondered if he should pay Andromeda a visit or not, to hear her explanation with the outings she had that day.

He didn't want to seem pushy or stepping out of bamounds. However, it was hard for him.

With his thoughts still scattered, Liu Xueyi noticed another nearby eatery and decided to take his usual check.

No sooner had that thought crossed his mind, Liu Xueyi's gaze landed on Andromeda with another companion.

Unlike the other times that day, this time around his heart sank to the bottomless pit of the ocean with no hope of returning.

Quickly he came to a stop and parked his car at the side of the road not so far away from them.

For the first few seconds, Liu Xueyi's grip on his steering wheel tightened to the extent one would think he might rip the innocent steering wheel of its attachment.

With multiple expressions displaying on his face, he watched her from his side mirror.

"Why, Andy? Why?"

Not getting the answer in his head, he turned off his car and alighted from it.

With each step taking towards them, his resolve grew atrong and his heart palpitates in response to the rhythm of his thundering feet.

At the very same time, he watched Andromeda close her eyes and anticipate something, when his eyes landed on the man, bringing his face close to hers.

Words could not describe the rage that surged right through him as he glanced at the scene once more.

Luckily there were a few persons on the road that evening. Which gave him more boost of fresh rage.

Whether or not there was, it didn't matter. He was going to teach a lesson tonight.

Both hands balled at his side as his veins began to pop out on his body from any visible outlet.

With no one to stop him, at this point, Liu Xueyi was reaching a point of no return with his jealousy going over the bar.

****

Andromeda had not seen or noticed someone close to them when it happened.

All she knew was that she was about to be kissed and her heart skipped a beat.

For a second there, she felt like her adrenaline failed her but right the very next second it came rolling back into her and she lifted her hands to push at his chest.

However, before her hands could do their damage, a sharp deep voice called out dangerously.

"How dare you!"

Sun Yichen who had been caught up in the moment failed to notice the glares that were being sent at him until he felt a strong grip on his shoulder, pushing him back and off Andromeda.

Within the blink of an eye, he never got to see or understand what was going on when his body slammed hard against the wall of the building.

"Aahh!"

GBISH!

A heavy punch flew right at his face and he did not get a chance to protect himself before it landed.

Right before Andromeda's eyes, she saw a scene that was inevitable and shocking.

Never had she seen him this way. Her breath quickened as she panted hard while her eyes never faltered from his body.

Everything happened so fast for even those passing by and viewers could tell he was pissed.

Regardless, his hands remained tightened in a fist while he glared at the man on the ground, turning his back to her.

Sensing the danger in the air and the fact that he was not backing down and at the same time, Andromeda from the corners of her eyes, she could see Sun Yichen trying to get up, she knew without a doubt that if something was not done now, this would get out of hand.

"Xueyi!" She let out sharply as she took a step forward.

"Xue…" Sun Yichen's words got stuck in his throat as he spat on the floor beside him before whipping his head up.

Andromeda's eyes went wide when she noticed the blood flowing down his nostrils.

The air around them became tense and deadly instantly as both men stared at each other with eyes that bore their rage.

"Xueyi!"

"Yichen!"

"How dare you?" Sun Yichen said through gritted teeth and tried to get to his feet, using the interlocking tiled floor to his advantage.

"I would stay down if I were you, else I wouldn't be as gracious as I was to deliver just a punch and break your nose."

"Xueyi, please stop. Stop it please," Andromeda interjeced sharply as she pleaded quickly.

Anything to stop this madness.

"Let this be the last time I see you within ten feet close to her. If not, I guess breaking your legs would be a start. Understood?"

His words were clear and firm, if it was a warning or a threat, one couldn't possibly tell but the dangers attached to it was enough to make the sleeping dog lie.

Without waiting for an answer, he turned around shooting Andromeda a warning glance before grabbing her hand.

"Let's leave."

Andromeda could not protest about his action, not at this point though, and she did not complain about the way he held her.

Even inside his rage, he ensured he was a gentleman and held her with less strength, giving her both an opportunity to break free if she wished or follow him.

In the end, he wasn't disappointed as she readily walked with him till they got into his car and drove off.
