Chapter 188 She Was Right

CHAPTER 188

Knock! Knock!

Several pairs of eyes flew in the direction of the door as the heavy knocking thundered against their eardrums.

As if on cue they peeled their gaze from the door and the sound being sent forcefully on it and sent it to the one person who they were sure the danger was coming for.

Beatrice Zhang.

She gulped visibly, while the petrified look on her face showed how much problem she had gotten herself into.

"Beatrice!"

Instantly, everyone took a step back when his loud voice broke them out from their train of thoughts.

"Beatrice, open the damn door, now!"

"I..." She turned her head from side to side, in search of only God knows what.

"Miss Zhang... What should we do?" One of the designers there questioned with a shaky weak voice.

"Shut up, let me think."

"Beatrice!!" Wu Bai hollered again.

There was no time for him to start making changes. The clothes were already sewn and time...

Gosh!

"Beatrice!" He bellowed this time, pounding on the door, way harder than before.

"Open the door this instant. If you make me break down this door you would regret it for the rest of your life."

"Fine. I am coming."

She straightened her outfit before picking up the fled of her gown and walked past the tables and things scattered around her

By the time she got close to the door, she let the base of her gown down and straightened her spine.

With her head lifted and both hands at her side, she cat-walked over and unlocked the door, taking a few steps back.

All of a sudden, the door flung open with a force she had least expected.

She knew he would barge in but never did she think he would do so in such force.

The cold gaze that followed his line of sight as he locked his eyes on the figure before him sent shivers running down the spine of all the designers present and the models showcasing the outfits.

Like a predator searching for his prey, he shifted his gaze from her, leading it to the outfits and models.

Beatrice Zhang watched as his eyes darkened, taking in every one of them before bringing his gaze back to her.

"I..."

"SAVE IT!"

He took a step forward and grabbed her hand from her side before pulling her with him as he stormed off in the direction of the elevator.

The second he left; several sighs were released as they felt saved all of a sudden.

All the match to his office, Wu Bai did not spare Beatrice a glance till they arrived inside the office and he shot the door loudly behind them.

BANG!

She shuddered in fright as did the door frame from the heavy hit that was sent at it without a given thought.

Irrespective of the horror aura that seemed to seep out from Wu Bia, Beatrice clutched her hand to her chest and tried to play the victim, hoping it would quell his anger if he saw her scared.

"Wu Ba…"

"Silence!" He roared, scaring the shit out of her.

The moment his voice thundered in her ear, she felt her heart jump into her throat and subconsciously took some steps back.

Glaring right into her eyes, his gaze held untold fury, taking similar steps in her direction and not leaving any room for escape for her.

"Give me a reason why I should not kill you right now?"

"Wu…." The cold glare he shot at her made her lips clamp shut instantly, swallowing all the words and thoughts to be spoken.

"You had the guts to allow Andromeda to get one over you?"

"No."

"No? No? Beatrice, no? You dare have the effrontery to tell me no when there are samples of limited clothes, exactly like what we want to show today?"

GULP!

"Do not look at me with those witchy cat eyes of your sand use your mouth to speak!"

"I… I-I you see."

"I see? Beatrice, do I look like a fool to you or something? How dare you make me look like a laughing stock?" His voice hollered once more.

"We have barely two hours to the start of the event and all my clothes are already out for sale by a different company."

"I am sorry, Wu Bai," she pleaded, bringing both hands in front of her as her eyes watered before him.

"Sorry?" He scoffed out a pitiful laugh, pushing out his anger once more.

She was sorry? Sorry? Was there a way sorry was going to fix things for anyone?

"You think sorry would explain to me what in the devil's name is going on? And when were you going to tell me? When would you explain to me what you did?"

He combed his hands through his hair, leaving them in a messy state before turning his back on her.

No matter how he thought about it, he felt like a fool for not realizing sooner that the Andromeda he knew before and the one now, were two different people.

It was obvious that whatever his top designer did, Andromeda had always been prepared.

"She was right," Wu Bai muttered under his breath. "Very right."

He heaved out a deep sigh, bringing his fingers up to massage his forehead.

'I was a fool to not take her offer. At least then I could easily maneuver things and not be disgraced like this.'

Swiftly, he turned around, exuding more of the deathly aura that seemed to seep out at a much faster state now.

He did not know but he did not care either way.

All his life, never had he been caught between a rock and a hard place to make such blunders and mistakes.

"I deserve an explanation for this madness!"

"Yes. You do. But first, I want you to know that all I do and what I say, is all for the good of this company."

"I would be the one to determine that, Beatrice. Now enough of your games or I would make you so sorry."

"Alright."

"Then… Out with it. I am losing my patience here!"
