Apocalypse Cheater

Chapter 197: West Holy Templar

[: Daniel POV :]

As we prepared to journey towards the West Holy Templar, I found myself holding both the hands of the Saintesses, Katie and Liviana.

Katie, familiar with my actions, reciprocated with a warm smile, but Liviana, who was initially shy, hesitated before finally allowing me to hold her hand.

Liviana seemed to focus her gaze on our intertwined hands, a hint of curiosity and perhaps unease in her eyes.

"Is something wrong, Liviana?" I asked, sensing her contemplation.

She glanced up, meeting my eyes with a shy smile.

"It's just... I've never really experienced this before," she admitted, a gentle blush gracing her cheeks.

Katie, who had been observing the interaction, chimed in with a playful tone.

"Don't worry, Liviana. You'll get used to Daniel's spontaneous gestures."

With a soft chuckle, we continued our journey towards the West Holy Templar.

As we arrived, Liviana's eyes widened in shock at how instant we had arrived directly at the entrance of the West Holy Templar.

As Liviana observed the seemingly instantaneous movement orchestrated by my skills, her astonishment only deepened.

"W-What kind of skills are these? It's like we're here, and then suddenly, we're there,"

She marvelled, her eyes darting between our surroundings in an attempt to comprehend the rapid shifts.

Katie, with a knowing smile, explained, "It's one of Daniel's skills''

''He has a unique set of abilities that make our journey quite efficient."

Liviana, still coming to terms with the concept, looked at me in amazement. "

Your skills can do that? I've never encountered anything like this."

I nodded, appreciating her genuine awe.

"Indeed. It's my skill that allows me to teleport wherever I want at the usage of Mana'' I explained.

As we entered the West Holy Templar, a surprising lack of hindrance greeted us at the entrance.

The guards, usually vigilant and strict, were visibly baffled by the presence of the Saintess of the Moon and the Saintess of Nature.

Their usual protocol seemed to falter in the face of such esteemed guests.

"Looks like our reputation is quite effective,"

Katie quipped with a smirk, noting the guards' astonished expressions.

Liviana, still getting used to the attention, smiled politely.

"I never thought being a Saintess would make getting through security this easy."

Well, it sounds like both of them had never once left the Templars which explains why they had reacted this way.

As we proceeded further into the Templar, the Saintess of the West Holy Templar, who had undoubtedly heard of our arrival, greeted us with genuine surprise.

"I never thought I would see the Saintess of the Moon and the Saintess of Nature together again. Welcome to the West Holy Templar,"

She said, her eyes reflecting a mixture of awe and respect.

Katie nodded in acknowledgement.

"We're here on a quest, and Daniel has some business to attend to as well,"

She explained, giving a nod in my direction.

The Saintess of the West, accustomed to the unexpected, smiled warmly.

"I'm honoured to have such esteemed guests. Please, follow me as I'll explain about the quest''.

As we followed the Saintess of the West Holy Templar to another room, her surprise lingered.

She hadn't expected me to be aware of the quest, but she opted not to question my knowledge, respecting my autonomy in the mystical realm.

"I didn't anticipate you being aware of our quest, but I trust you have your reasons,"

She commented, her curiosity masked by a diplomatic smile.

I nodded appreciatively.

"There's much to learn about you Saintess, but first, allow me to introduce myself properly''

''I'm Daniel, and these are the Saintess of the Moon, Katie, and the Saintess of Nature, Liviana."

The Saintess of the West extended a welcoming hand.

"I am Seraphina, the Saintess of Magic, and I follow the Goddess Isis''

''It's a pleasure to have guests of such prestige in our Templar''

''If there's anything you need or any assistance I can provide, don't hesitate to ask,"

She offered with grace, guiding us further into the Templar, where the enchanting mysteries of magic awaited.

As I gazed at Seraphina, I was momentarily startled by her beauty, which rivalled that of the other two Saintesses.

Her dark violet hair cascaded elegantly, and her eyes, a deep shade of purple, seemed to hold the entire universe within them.

Stars twinkled in the depths of her gaze, captivating and mesmerizing.

Inwardly, I marvelled at her celestial beauty.

It felt like her eyes reflected the vastness of the cosmos.

I couldn't help but be captivated by her presence.

As our group continued, my thoughts delved into the mythology surrounding the Goddess Isis.

Isn't she the powerful Egyptian goddess known for her connection to magic and healing?

I wondered while contemplating the divine influence that Seraphina followed.

In my mind, I tried connecting the dots.

Seraphina led us into a chamber adorned with intricate magical symbols, where the air hummed with a mystical energy.

As we gathered around, she began to explain the quest that awaited me.

"Daniel, your quest here is crucial. The three rivers surrounding our Templar have been contaminated by the essence of monsters''

''This corruption has not only disrupted the natural balance but also affected the peace and resources for nearby villages, towns, and even small cities,"

Seraphina explained, her tone carrying a sense of urgency.

Katie raised an eyebrow, a hint of concern in her expression.

"How did this contamination occur? Are there powerful monsters in the vicinity?"

Seraphina nodded.

"Yes, there have been reports of monstrous entities in the areas surrounding the rivers''

''They exude a dark essence that poisons the waters''

''We believe purifying these rivers will restore harmony to the land."

Liviana, showing a determination to contribute, spoke up, "We'll help Daniel in whatever way we can''

I nodded in agreement, understanding the gravity of the task at hand.

"We'll do everything in our power to cleanse the rivers and eliminate the source of this corruption'' I declared.

Upon accepting the quest to purify the contaminated rivers, I nodded resolutely, ready to undertake the quest.

Seraphina expressed her gratitude with a gentle smile, appreciative that I was willing to assist in a matter that deeply concerned her goddess.

"Thank you, Daniel. The Goddess Isis is concerned about this issue, and your aid is invaluable''

''If you could also clear the transcendent monsters around the river, that would be a significant bonus,"

Seraphina added, her eyes reflecting a mix of hope and concern.

Katie, always eager for a challenge, grinned.

"Transcendent monsters, huh? Sounds like a tough fight. But we're up for it, right?"

She said, glancing at Liviana and me.

Liviana, showing determination, nodded.

"We'll do our best to cleanse the rivers and deal with the transcendent monsters. Nature deserves to be restored to its rightful state."

With our resolve affirmed, I reassured Seraphina, "We'll handle both tasks''

[: You have received the Quest of Purifying 3 Rivers :]

''The balance will be restored to the rivers, and the monsters in the vicinity won't trouble the land any longer."

Seraphina nodded, a sense of relief evident in her demeanour.

"Thank you, Daniel. May the Goddess Isis guide your journey."

With Seraphina's blessing, we left the Templar, ready to face the challenges that awaited us in the quest to purify the rivers and rid the land of the transcendent monsters.

As we stepped out of the Templar, I turned to Katie and Liviana, a determined gleam in my eyes. "Let's get this done. Give me your hands."

Without hesitation, they both extended their hands, their trust evident in their expressions.

Liviana, though initially shy, had grown accustomed to the magical bond we shared.

In an instant, I clasped their hands, and the familiar sensation of teleportation enveloped us.

The scenery shifted, and we found ourselves standing near one of the contaminated rivers.

The air was heavy with the corrupted essence, and the once-clear waters now flowed with a sinister tint.

Katie surveyed the surroundings.

"Well, this place certainly needs a makeover."

Liviana nodded her connection with nature allowing her to sense the disturbance.

I took a deep breath, focusing my energy. "Let's start with those Transcendent Monsters first'' I declared.

Liviana, her concern evident in her emerald eyes, hesitated before voicing her worries.

''How do you plan to eliminate them all without risking yourself?"

I met her gaze, a reassuring smile on my face.

'' Don't worry. Trust me, I have a plan. I'll handle them swiftly and efficiently."

She bit her lip, still uncertain.

"But what if they overwhelm you? What if they're more powerful than you anticipate?"

Katie chimed in, her confidence unwavering. "Liviana, you've seen what Daniel is capable of''

''He's not one to underestimate a situation. Let's trust him and see how he handles this."

With that, I turned my attention to the monsters, ready to demonstrate the extent of my powers and assure Liviana that we were more than capable of handling the challenge ahead.
