Chapter 185: Palace tour

After the brief meeting, both of them went separate ways. The Crown Prince suggested Severus stay in the main palace but he denied it. He said he didn't want to trouble anyone but under the Crown prince's insistence Severus had nowhere else to go and he ended up relenting and staying inside the palace.

Severus wanted to explore the kingdom. The Crown prince gave two of his twelve knights to him for his security and guidance. Severus spent his entire day exploring and wandering in the markets of Znya kingdom. To be honest, the kingdom was beautiful and the stone paintings and sculpture were everywhere. Just like Rivera, natives here were busy with their personal life, completely ignorant of their lives' fragility.

"What a busy day?"  Severus sighed.

[Really] Noworry agreed.

[Well it was pretty refreshing to spend time so leisurely. It had been so long since I enjoyed a day off.] 

Severus smiled  "yeah"

As Severus was lying on his bed he heard some sounds coming from the outside. He asked noworry if he heard something but to his surprise noworry denied.

Severus thought it was his mind playing games with him but then again, he heard the same sound. He knew he wasn't dreaming since he heard it twice so he decided to get up and check it once. He quickly bounced up from his bed and bolted outside to see what actually was happening but when he did come outside, he saw nothing. 

Corridors were empty.

Not even a single maid was there.

It was rather quiet and peaceful.

Concluded that it was actually his brain that was playing tricks on him, Seversu turned to return back but when he turned around to go inside the room, he again heard different whispers. This time Severus didn't waste his time and quickly followed the sound. 

Noworry was extremely tired from today's journey so he kept silent and didn't  follow Severus this time

The voice started turning faint and faint, and if not for Severus heightened senses, he was sure he would have missed the location from where the sound was coming. After 15 minutes of continuous walking, he finally found a secluded room from where the faint whispers were coming. Severus didn't know if he should venture inside the room or not. This area looked rather secluded and prohibited. You never know what was waiting for you inside such rooms.

He braced himself and decided to quietly open the door.

Katchak!

The door was rather old and rusty so it started making sound when he opened it.  When Severus tried opening it, no matter how softly he handled the lock, it still made sound.

Sheesh!

Severus cursed himself.

What terrible luck!

Earlier when he was opening the door and the sound started coming from the door, he had already closed his eyes but now when he did open it, he didn't see a horrible monster as he was expecting but a little girl dancing inside her room. Since it was the time of sunset, the soft glow of the sun shrouded her and her room and she looked beautiful and otherworldly. Just like a fairy.

When she noticed Severus' presence, the girl was shocked. When she saw Severus she was dazed but soon the shock from her eyes turned into surprise and then happiness. She happily smiled and giggled when she saw how dumb Severus looked at this moment.

"Severus. What a great surprise!!! Can I ask what you are doing here at this moment?"

Severus was embarrassed when she giggled at him but he braced himself and tried to be a little shameless.

" Hello Moon. I heard music coming from this direction so I followed it and stumbled at your door. I was expecting a trap now but now I am relieved." 

" You sing beautiful" 

Moon blushed under Severes compliment. "Thanks"

Moon noticed that Severus looked tired and pale.

Worry flashed in her eyes.

"Severus Are you tired?" She asked innocently.

"Today I went to the market for sightseeing and exploration. I was thrilled to see how beautiful Nye was in reality.  Those stone sculptors looked so realistic that I was amazed. Znye people sure are skilled." 

Moon saw no lies or facade in Severus' eyes. He was genuinely happy. For a moment she was captivated in his smile. 

Severus noticed that he was the only one who was speaking which felt rather uncomfortable so he stopped speaking." What happened?why are you staring at me?"

Severus asked after noticing that Moon was gazing at him. 

Moon shook her head as a smile graced her face. 

"Nothing. It's just that it had been years since I saw someone like you."

Severus heard what she said but he chose to ignore it.

Dwelling  into unwanted topics was not his style.

Severus had said what he had to, and Moon had nothing to say. 

Silence turned into awkwardness. 

Finally it was Moon who alleviated the awkwardness by suggesting that they should  have a stroll outside.

" since I promised you then let me allow you to keep it. I will let you have a tour of this main Palace" She stood up and went out of her room. Severus didn't understand what she meant.

Moon saw the hesitation and confusion in his eyes. "come on. I'm not going to eat you" 

who knows?

Severus wanted to say this but kept his mouth shut.

He saw her hand gestures and came out. 

Without another word he followed her. 

It felt like Moon knew this place like the back of her palm. They travelled through several empty corridors and finally came to stop. 

Severus noticed that they were inside an old room. It felt like it had been years since it was last cleaned. 

Pink bed sheets with princes head bed. 

No doubt it was a girl's room.

Was this Moon's room?

Came a thought inside Severus' mind but it disappeared as soon as it came.

This was just absurd. 

Severus didn't dwell in her personal life.

Hello readers.

Not actually a note but an important announcement. 

It's been a long journey and there is still a long way to go. Up's and down's are inevitable but I am proud that we managed to pull out.  Sigh!

Reality is hard.

My offline classes will be resuming in a week and for that, I will be traveling a lot. I will have less time to spare.

Sad but that's it to it.

I have another in real projects to handle as well as other stories. I don't like abandoning anything and I am really not going to stop this story.

But After this month, the updates won't be stable. I am thinking of creating a schedule for this book. Most probably I will be releasing chapters every Saturday and Sunday.

I hope you all support me.

From March onwards I will be focusing on my second book, A wizard's Romance. It will be updated regularly. I hope you all read it. There is another story that I will be writing. It is Mr right or Mr left. It will be a romance story.

" Let's leave,"  Arthur said.

Vladis crouched down on land and gently asked Camy to hop on his back. Although she wasn't injured she happily climbed on Vladis back because she felt safe around him.

"Big brother you need to give me 1,2 no,10 packets of candy. Promise?"

Vladis chuckled.

"You sure have a sweet tooth. Your teeth will rot if you continue eating sweets like this."  Vladis commented with a slight smile.

Camy totally ignored her sister and talked non-stop with Vladis. Vladis didn't deny her and got engaged in her sweet nothings. Witnessing Camy ignoring her and the sweet interaction between Vladis and Camy Ciel pulled a  dark face. She glanced at Arthur and pouted in frustration.

Arthur was very much enjoying her expressions but after remembering about Ciel injured leg he stopped being mean and he too gently crouched in front of Ciel.

"Come on what are you waiting for? Just hop on. With your tiny and injured legs, there is no chance that we will cross this forest before dawn"

Ciel got furious after listening to his comment and wanted to scold him but decided against it. She was not a fool and understood his kind intentions and thus forgave him this one time as she quietly hopped on his back.

Mr Right and Mr Left?

"you know Mei, you are the only one I love. Maybe it's my fate to lose you but it's my destiny to only love you."

"Shen Yiwen,  Just give up. She is someone who will never be yours so why try?" a desperate voice of man resounded in the empty room.

"I am not holding on to her. I am just holding her memories. Why are you so cruel? Why can't you let me be with her memories? If I can't hold her then I will hold her memories and will take it with my grave", Shen Yiwen replied with a hoarse and dry voice.

Witnessing his best friend like this, broke Ji Rye's heart, and in agony, he left him all alone in his room.

After the door closed shut, Shen Yiwen took out a photograph from his pocket and held it gently in front of his face. He stroked it very softly just like stroking a lover.

In the photo, there was a girl who had a sweet toothy smile. She had long black hairs that were tied up in a ponytail. Her face was smiling, while her eyes were like a crescent moon. Happiness was radiating from her face with the innocence of a child.

Shen Yiwen clutched the photograph in his hands and closed his eyes to suppress the pain and the agony he was feeling but soon tears started streaming down from his eyes. He didn't make any whimper or hiccups. He just silently cried. The tears were endless and each one of them dropped on the girl's photograph.

Soon her photograph became wet with tears.

That night Shen Yiwen cried the whole night without any sound. The lights inside the rooms were off and the only source of the light present was from the big window across the bed.

Today moon was full and it brightly shone outside.

Inside the room, the moonlight entered and fell on him. In the moonlight, his figure turned more desolate and lonely. Truth to be told Shen Yiwen was a very handsome man with exquisite features but now all that was left was a frail him, who had his own frail charms but so terrible there was no one to appreciate this beauty

Yu Zhen a boy who had his own fair share of his difficulties fell for a girl that was no less than a princess. Just an intelligent boy who had a warm heart. 

He never thought he would fall for her but who can control feelings. 

With endless catfights to endless cuddles.
