Chapter 111 Center Of The Forest (Part 2)

"Kiru?" The goblin stopped and made a weird sound. Then, it pointed toward one of the bushes, and looked at Jake.

Jake nodded back and flicked something at the goblin.

It was a silver coin.

The moment that the goblin caught the silver coin, it jumped up and down with such joy. It was like this silver coin was the greatest treasure that it had.

"Come on. It's getting dark. Now is the right time to go in." Jake said.

"The goblin isn't going in. Is the goblin also afraid of what is going to be inside?" Myriad Arrows asked.

"That's right. You are getting accustomed to this world very well. Monsters will be afraid of other monsters in this world, at least that's what I observed until now." Jake nodded as they walked toward the bushes.

The moment they reached the bushes, they saw that in front of them, was a clearing. It was a singular clearing in the entire forest.

The eye of the swirling hurricane of trees that surrounded this eye.

And opposite to where Jake and Myriad Arrows were hunched, there was a cliff. Below the rocky cliff, there was a cave. This cave was probably where the king of the forest stayed.

"Please do not tell me we have to go inside that cave." Myriad Arrows looked at Jake with some hope that he would survive the day.

"Don't worry. I don't have a death wish either. We grinded pretty hard to get where we are right now. I am not going to throw it all away right now." Jake smiled and looked around.

There was not a single monster in sight and what was probably the boss of this area was definetly sleeping.

They could hear snoring from some place, in the cave mostly.

"Let's start then. We have a few hours before we ca find the place that we need to go to." Jake said as he stood upright once more and crossed the bushes to enter the clearing.

[Warning! You have entered the Boss Area!]

A warning appeared the moment that Jake entered the clearing. Myriad Arrows got it as well, and he looked at Jake with horror.

"What is going to happen now? Is the boss going to wake up?" He asked.

"No. Not really. Unless you want it to." Jake smiled and walked closer to the cave. But Myriad Arrows didn't dare shout at him, as he was afraid that he would wake up this boss that he could not see.

Jake reached the entrance of the cave, but he didn't go inside. Instead, he turned let and started walking slowly.

"One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Yeah, it should be around here." Jake murmured. Then, he looked up.

The cliff was pretty high up, and there was no way that he would be able to climb it in one stretch. It would take way too much stamina, and Jake didn't even have to go all the way up to the top.

He grabbed one of the protruding rocks and started climbing.

"Three, four, five. Yes, this is the right space." Jake looked around where he was hanging. There was nothing out of space. But he was looking for the right rock.

"What are you doing?" A whisper came from beside him.

The whisper broke Jake's concentration, and he almost slipped, but a slender hand caught him before he fell.

"When the hell did you come up here?" Jake asked Myriad Arrows.

"You don't expect me to stand here, doing nothing, do you?" Myriad Arrows chuckled.

"Fine then. Around here, there should be a secret key that will allow us to enter the secret dungeon that we will be clearing today. It is a pretty easy secret dungeon, so we should be able to clear it with ease." Jake said.

"You mean this one?" Myriad Arrows appeared above Jake, and pointed toward a rock with a green tint.

"Ah! Everytime I need to find something, I will definitely bring you along." Jake smiled as he climbed a few steps above, and reached Myriad Arrows' height.

"Alright. Get yourself ready." Jake said as he clicked on the small, greenish rock.

The rock dug into the rocky cliff, and a small cick could be heard. The moment that the click was heard, they suddenly lost their foothold.

Even the rocks around them started digging inside, and the entire cliff was changing shape. Myriad Arrows and Jake fell on the ground with a loud thud.

They werent high up though, so they didn't face any damage.

Still, the fall that they had was large enough the snoring to suddenly change. The snoring changed to loud breathing, and the sound of whatever was inside the cave waking up.

"Quick. Let us get out of here." Jake's eyes widened as he suddenly jumped on the last remaining rock on the ground and reached a pretty staggering height.

He then clicked on the green rock again.

Then, something interested happened. Below them, the flat cliff now started changing. There was a greenish portal there now.

Jake landed back next to Myriad Arrows.

But they froze. They could not hear anything now. No breathing. No snoring. Nothing.

It was awake. Whatever it was, it was awake.

Jake and Myriad Arrows only hesitated for a second before the bolted toward the green portal. And as they entered the portal, they could hear the sound.

The sound of something large, something ferocious roaring.

As they entered the portal, Myriad Arrows finally heaved a sigh of relief and fell on the ground because of the momentum that they used to run forward.

On the ground now, he turned around to lie down, looking up at the sky.

But what he saw just felt like he returned to the forest.

He got up and looked at Jake.

"What are we doing here, Shadow? I mean, I don't get it. This place doesn't look like a secret dungeon at all!" He asked.

But Jake was still looking forward, his arms shaking.

"Yeah, I messed up this time. This isn't the secret dungeon. This is a goddamn secret realm. One that no one found back then as well." He murmured.
