Chapter 101: Lion and Fox duo debut

Landers took a few steps forward while keeping his eyes on the small beings in front of him:

"Are you two sure?"

Lindo nodded and Manitola started a dance, her charm field was on with full effect.

Lindo stood in front of her as he glared at the short mole people in front of him, he knew that they didn't dare to attack him or Manitola but he wanted to intimidate them.

However, Lindo's intimidating tactic didn't work as one of the mole people turned with his back around them bent over, and started to beat his ass softly while saying:

"Come over here you re***ds, this granddaddy of yours wants to give you a hug!"

While he was saying these things he also let out a smelly fart towards Lindo's direction with such precise aim that it directly went towards Lindo's nose.

At this point, Lindo was so angry that veins popped up his neck arms, and even head as he glared at the mole that did that, and if he glared any harder his eyes would pop out of their sockets.

"Lindo keep your cool!"

Manitola told him as she put her hand on his back.

Lindo wanted to take a deep breath but the air was contaminated so he continued to keep his breath as he took a few steps forward while Manitola followed behind him.

His eyes were closed but if they were open it could be seen that they were red now...

He was currently moving rhythmically through the space between the mole people and Felix's group.

The moment the moles saw how he moved their eyes bulged out of their sockets as they started to rub them, they didn't see that well anyways but the moment they realized how Lindo was walking accurately dodging all of the remaining traps they didn't know what to believe. At first, they thought it was their poor vision fucking with them but they realized that it wasn't so, Lindo was actually dodging all of their intelligently placed traps!

It was like he had eyes that could see through solid matter!

However, as they took a look at his face they realized that he had his eyes closed!

The mole person who was beating his ass to taunt Lindo fell on his ass as he looked at him dodging all of the traps with such high accuracy then he shouted:

"Everyone scatter! Princess Manitola has that charming ability don't let her get near you!"

Lindo nodded to Manitola as she jumped on his back and he started to jump from place to place as if he was a frog.

Manitola's charm field jumped up and down with him as he quickly got close to a bunch of mole people who tried to escape only for them to get engulfed in the charm field and slowly walk towards Manitola as if they were possessed, then Lindo unleashed his hex aura as he knocked all of them out with the pressure of it alone, mole people were weak but ingenious so even Lindo's white-colored aura could knock them out.

There were around 10 groups of mole people each having 1,000 people in them, but they were so small that they didn't take much space if any space at all, them being clustered together just gave a better opportunity for Manitola and Lindo to shine.

While they did try to scatter they realized that they would meet their own traps if they dug into the ground as they were armed to react at the smallest tremor of the ground.

Now they were stuck between a rock and a hard place, while their digging speed was very fast their running speed wasn't so they couldn't escape Lindo, their short legs couldn't help them much in this situation.

The moment Lindo and Manitola jumped to a group they would all cluster around Lindo before being knocked out.

They were a deadly combination for these small people.

It didn't take a lot of time for Lindo to herd them all over into one place and throw them into their trap making them start cursing as they were clustered together into a steel net.

They wanted to shout for freedom but they knew it would be useless to ask for it as they talked among themselves.

They chattered together as they saw how Lindo let the nets down letting the troops escape.

"This guy... he must be the commander of the troops! Look at his Galant figure and moves!"

"Indeed... he is a great person and he even conquered Princess Manitola..."

"Not an undeserved loss!"

Lindo was mad at the mole people but now that they were praising him so shamelessly he almost became red like a boiled lobster.

Manitola blushed as well as she heard the comments of the moles, how could they say that Lindo conquered her?

She wasn't such an easy woman!

Felix found something was wrong as these moles chattered continuously, it was as if they didn't care at all what would happen with them next, or that they didn't fear them, but their current situation was as bad as it could be, they were their prisoners in a trap of their own making, how could they be so relaxed?

Wait for a little, a trap of their own making?

The moment Felix thought about this he saw out of the corner of his eye that one of the mole people slipped through the steel net as if it wasn't even there then cut the rope that was keeping it suspended above the ground.

All of the moles immediately scattered as if they were pigeons who saw bread crumbs.

Manitola and Lindo became pale as they tried to capture them only to gain around 2,000 before the rest drilled into the ground and disappeared.

They had disabled the traps somehow, Felix just wondered why they didn't do it in the first place before they were captured by Lindo.

Lindo and Manitola dragged another steel net behind them while keeping their eyes peeled onto their captives.

They knew they fucked up in this situation, they had let their prisoners escape and had only captured around 2% of them back.

It was a big failure!

Landers smiled at them as he looked at the still unconscious new captives and put his hands on each of their shoulders while saying:

"You have done great, you even saved our troops while capturing some of the enemies troops, while you have let some of them get away there is nothing we can do about that, we are on the enemies territory and we are fighting unknown machinery and traps, we have to do our best to learn from you two."

Felix smiled at them as he said:

"You have done a good job, Lindo you have improved on your killing intent detection so much?"

Lindo was bashful as he scratched the back of his head and laughed:

"Yeah, I'm even close to learning killing intent masking as well!"

"Wow, you have trained really hard to unlock some new abilities, unlike you I have been focusing on the basics..."

Landers let them talk to each other as he got closer to the captured mole people and glared at their unconscious form, he now had more people to interrogate.

While Landers was doing his special interrogation under the gazes of the freed lion troops, Felix, Manitola, and Lindo started to chat.

"I can't believe you improved so much Lindo, it was seemingly yesterday where you couldn't even get up from the ground when we trained using that ruby that your grandfather gave us."

"Yeah time passed really fast while we were doing so many things, anyways I wanted to talk something with you."

"Hmm? Aren't we already doing that?"

"No no, I mean we need to talk about something important."

"So you don't think your improvement was important?"

"Ah... you are driving me crazy, can you not take everything that I say literally?"

"Ok I was just messing with you Lindo, what do you want to tell me?"

"Actually I'm not the one who wants to talk with you."

Manitola took a few steps forward as she approached Felix and said:

"This is a talk that we need to have in private."

"Hmm talk in private? What do you need to tell me that Lindo can't hear? Isn't he like your boyfriend?"

Manitola's face turned red like a tomato as she coughed and said:

"It's about our God's chosen status, I don't think you have had a God's chosen friend who could have told you everything, it seems that you don't use your abilities to your full extent."

Felix tilted his head to the side, Bizkier didn't tell him everything he knew? It was unlikely he looked to accepted him as a friend even though they were enemies at first but maybe there were things that Bizkier didn't know?

Seeing how Felix was confused she asked:

"What you had a God's chosen friend?"

Lindo shook his head as he said from behind:

"She doesn't know about Bizkier because of her situation in the barrier, but go with her anyway, maybe she has some new information to tell you."

Manitola was embarrassed as she coughed to clear away her embarrassment then said:

"Yeah just like Lindo said, why don't we go a little bit further into the forest so we can talk in private?"

Felix didn't find any problem with that as he took the lead walking towards the forest that was only a little bit away from the city walls.
